I will apologize in advance for acting the village idiot but i don't get it.
I have been running the script to swap my card for the internal memory.
I have tried both Clean Rom 5.0 and Jedi x16
Tried both with different Kernels
Same Result, I get it to "Work" in that I see the "internal" memory as my 64gig card
However
All apps are still loading to the actual phone memory.
I am at a complete loss as to how I fix this. ill attempt to anwser some of the questions you may have in order to help me........
I am currently running Clean Rom 5.0 with perseus alpha36
card was formatted
ran script properly............Must have or I would have seen the swap under "storage"
Is there a step im missing? I see under app manager that the apps are still going to the actual phone memory.
I hope that made some level of sense and someone can help me out.
What is your micro Sd format?
Fat32

i'm sorry bud, but android ICS and higher version are not allowed to move apps from Internal to SD. Google made the changes, but there are ways to do this and i assume you are rooted. Here it is, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1889550, directory bind, i used it for a while, it works.
I have a working zip for this, it swaps the internal and external memory. You still need it?
I believe folder mount may be of some use to you.

Hi all. Im writing here to help others who might be having the same issue I was having with full internal storage. I had plently of storage then I rooted and ran a few roms and suddenly I had no internal storage left. I searched and searched and finally figured out the problem. Im no stranger to rooting and running roms and custom recovery. But I am new at using cl ockwork mod recovery. All my old recoveries that ive used when making a nandroid backup they store the backup to sd card by default. Well as I found out not clockwork mod.it must be specified with cwm. Otherwise it goes to the internal memory of your device by default. As I soon found out. My four backups filled my internal storage full. Which once I realized what happened I deleted my backups and my internal storage came back. from now on I must specifically direct the backup to the sd card. Im writing this to possibly help someone else who might be in the same situation as I was. Hope this helps someone. I was used to my backups automatically going to my sd card so I assumed that cwm also directly sent them to sd. I was wrong. So if your suddenly faced with a internal storage issue you didn't have before and your using cwm, its likely your backups are being sent to internal storage unless otherwise specified. Just thought this could possibly help someone else out in the future. I should have paid closer attention to exactly where my backups were being stored but its never been an issue with my other recoveries so I didn't even think it would be sent to internal storage. I really hope this thread helps someone else out. Thanks for reading.
I saw the title and was going to suggest moving the Backups folder to extSdCard card in TiBu, in addition to flashing Nandroids to extSdCard card.
Then I read your post
Good suggestion.
Will definitely help many :good:
When I used to use TWRP, I always back'd up to extSdCard, especially with some of these back ups being around 2.5GB.
I miss the 32GB of internal my S3 had, but my 64GB card picks up the slack.
I actually have about 8GB left on my Internal. I was having to wipe internal often due to previous freezing issues, which have since been resolved, so I kept everything on extSdCard. I gotta get back in the habit of utilizing device storage again.

It took a bit for me to figure out what was actually going on. I had about 4 backups to internal storage. It was so full I was getting messages that my voicemail will no longer be saved. Glad I got it figured out. Now I have plenty of room avaiable. I do hope this post helps someone else.
Hey,
Im very new to this Forum.
I recently rooted my samsung grand i9082 and found this problem.
the problem is that my internal memory has gone up and now it says that im running out of memory.
so i uninstalled most of my apps and checked the storage and found that in the misc files there was 2.33Gb used space.
i tried to check the files which had that much memory and the interesting thing is that it doesnt show files that has 2.33Gb of capacity.
Now im completely confused. Whats wrong. i don know can this be due to the backup or anything.

Yes, your backup files are probably not showing in system ka storage management app...
Try downloading ES File Explorer, it has an SD Card Analyst feature which shows you how much space which file is taking up...and it shows ALL files.
I am rooted, running Negalite WondeROM v2. Stock kernel. Half the time, when I boot, the contents of my SD card dont show up. I get the gray squares, and when i try to open apps that are on my card, it says that they are not installed, or that I need to download the additional data(which I have already downloaded). Hot boot fixes it. And it doesn't happen all the time. Today, I was trying to update a game I purchased from the Play store, and I keep getting a message saying that I have insufficient external storage space. I have over 9Gb left on a 16Gb card. I used the Android applucation manager to move my apps to external SD, and not an app or anything. I have unmounted, removed, re-inserted and re-mounted my SD card, and the problem is unchanged. My internal storage is close to full, if that makes any difference. I have downloaded an SD fixer app, but when I opened it, it said that my SD was already writeable. Any input or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
Edit: making 5Gb space on INTERNAL storage seems to have solved the problem. Sorry for wasting everyone's time. Mods please close thread, OP a jackass.
Edit 2: nope, problem persists. Anyone have any sugestions?
Hi guys, i tried some tutorial founded around the forums, but still not able to swap the internal memory of my device (Samsung Galaxy J100H already rooted) with the external sd memory card that has a second partition in vfat32.
I tried with "external 2 internal sd" app, but nothing happens.
I tried to look after the Vold.fstab in system/etc/ but this file doesn't exist on my model, probably mounting point etc. are located differently so i don't know how to find e modify the script.
Someone could help with this? Thank you for now. (hope this is the right section to post)
