Hi guys,
Two weeks ago I bought my M9.
I went s-off and flashed latest firmware 3.35.401.12. After this I flashed ViperOneM9 4.3.0 and CM13 etc.
Everything is working except IR-remote. I used IR-remote a lot on my M7 so I hope this will work again.
I tried several roms like discriped. Venomrom cm13 etc, I installed "Peel Smart Remote" and "IR Remote", but none of them had working IR, whatever marshmallow rom I flash.
I've googled for special settings incl. permissions for the IR app.
I've tried diagnostics for m9 but there isn't a setting for IR testing. I don't see any issues and not get any fc's.
How can I troubleshoot this?
Kind regards!

It must be rom related or a hardware fault. If you are s-off you could try a stock rom. If still not working then it'll be broken.

Thnx!
I tried different roms, including stock and reflashed the firmware.
I tried a logcat: I see 0x0 errors.
But I don't know if I can relate htcircontroll to IR-remote.

I has a similar issue with an old phone and it ended up being the screen went bad. Have you tried a different rom to see if it does it as well? And did you notice any oddities with the screen before you flashed the new rom?

now it became like this
hardware
My phone did something like this too. It was a hardware issue. You will have to send it in to get fixed. You might be able to buy a digitizer on ebay and install it yourself. This may fix the problem and will be a lot cheaper.
I just bought a second hand desire z, it was a cheaper/better option for me.
For some strange reason, on my HTC One X (Endeavoru) I have got all my sensors turned off. My phone is rooted, installed with Cyanogenmod 11 Nightly (latest Nightly Bulid).
The last thing I can suspect as culprit is an application I installed "Battery Benchmark", I made it to stop and latter uninstalled; since then no sensor is working.

Any manual way to turn my sensors ON, or atleast can know their health status checked?
Use a freshly installed ROM first with a full wipe first then check your sensors with an all from play store , if they still off then you mostly being affected with damaged ones ,

Thanks for your response.
I will consider it as last resort. But for now, need some solution without loosing data.
Have read somewhere that some set of linux commands may turn sensors on or off VIA terminal service. "Can anyone help on that??"
I can't help you that since I didn't came across such a thing .beside im using linux all the time here

I've recently returned to stock ROM due to the camera issues on any custom ROM for the LG G4.
I've now ran in to a problem where my Bluetooth won't activate, I activate through settings, the button flips to the right as if it goes to activate but switch doesn't turn dark grey and it stays that way.

Going to another screen and coming back to settings shows that Bluetooth is switched off.
I've got a logcat dump but I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking for.

I can see it's having errors but I'm not sure what to do about it - is anyone able to help?
Many thanks!

then its sounds like a hardware problem.. sorry.
Fix
Do a full wipe.
Flash the stock rom via twrp (20d prerooted).
And then flash stock rom via LGUP or install any other custom rom and it should work. I had this problem many times and this method always worked for me
Hey guys, I have a t-mob htc one m9 s-off and running dev edition Nougat RUU. Ever since the update the front camera is showing purple like filter all over and is unusable. I installed a lineage OS MM once and it works fine on that. Apart from that, I also tried the s.rom. the camera is purple on that too. Any suggestions would be appreciated as the prob seems to be software related and can be fixed. Thankyou. Attached a pic below.

I have the same problem any one managed to fix it?
Nope. I am planning to downgrade to MM. :/
I've searched and searched and not seen any solution for this. I've tried several lineage based ROMs and all of them have not worked with Bluetooth or wifi. I had to go back to my marshmallow stock based rom to get those to work. I know nougat had issues with these things but it seems most people using these ROMs on the boards have it working. Can someone please help. When I say they don't work I mean they won't even turn on.

Perhaps wrong firmware? Can you give us some details?

I have the right firmware , I even tried the transition files on the original lineage ROM post and they were the same as what I already have. As far as details when I flashed any lineage based ROMs and it tries to find network during setup it just searches and searches never finding any router although there are about 12 in my area. Wifi never turns on and neither does Bluetooth

Google a compatible modem for your device, try some out. Should fix the problem.
