Can someone tell me How to do the battery pull calibrate ??
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
Charge your phone to 100%. Turn it off. Charge to 100% again. Boot into ClockworkMod with 3 finger salute. Hit Wipe Battery Stats. Now let the battery run down making sure you have a journaled ROM so when it dies you don't get data corruption.

Is there a significant difference between that method, and using an app like BatteryCalibration?

Just makes your battery meter more accurate.

No. That app makes it easier than the method I described.

Thanks for the info!
Hi,
When I'm using an aosp derived rom(aosp/aokp/cm/pa...) my battery really sucks. I'm losing %1 per minute when screen on even while not using it. I tried multiple kernel and rom combinations result is almost same. I can get 4h of screen on time with gaming, on sense based roms. Any reasons for that. What I'm doing wrong?
Note: I always full wipe when changing rom bases and clear battery stats
Is it possible that something like media server is consuming it due to rogue media files on sdcard?
Have you tried using bbs to see what's going on in the background?

Nope, I'm not using any media servers. I will try bbs soon as my phone charges, its charging right now.
I too am having this issue! I've tried a bunch of AOSP ROMs and fully wipe the device prior to every install however my Android OS drain is always really high! It's like something is running that won't let the system sleep. I never have this problem on Sense based ROMs and I have exactly the same apps installed.
charge 100% got to recovery then reset battery stats
hope i helped hit the thanks button
I have my ogpro for about 3 months now and this problem just happened since yesterday, everything is off, my location on google/chrome/ and the default browser, and the access location settings in the phone setting is Off too..but for some reason it keeps turning on.

It's probably just the NSA keeping tabs on you. At some point, you must have raised their suspicions

I'm having the same issue. The GPS keeps coming on, even with everything turned off in the general settings and within my apps. I did a factory reset and wiped all my data and the problem still persist. I also have taken out the battery, sim and sd card too and still no luck. So if anyone has any suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it.
I have not had this problem, I'm on ATT as well. Although I do not have the value pack upgrade as it seems to cause degraded battery and gaming performance on my phone.
Try factory reset from settings...save all your data first on a ext-sdcard or on your pc then do the factory reset...

I call at&t and they have no complaint reports for this issue. Or know anything about it. They guy from tech care recommend a master reset. Wich i say No. Cause i work for tmobile and thats what i do to clients lol! Karma is a bi#$%.
Anyways location access so far turn on while making a call, conecting to wifi or data. Or waking the phone from stand by.
I went to google settings and under location i turn off the location reporting & location history. So far so good. So i will keep testing this and let you guys now.

No this is becoming a widespread issue. I had this problem and literally would watch the switch go from off to on in a matter of seconds. Everytime I received a phone call it would turn the GPS on, each and every time. I had to disable the carrier iq and all the services associated with it, and surprisingly my battery life has significantly increased on standby.
How do you disable the carrier iq? What did you disable exactly?

Never mind i did already. I totally forgot about the carrier iq. My previous phone did not have as it was a international version. Finally gone the annoying gps turn it on.

I have noticed this issue as well. I am trying to pin down exactly what is causing it. I believe I am getting close, as I have noticed a specific Google location service being active each time I have had problems with the GPS. After stopping that location service the gps isn't turning on every 2-3 minutes.

Hi there,
I bought this device recently, and soon noticed it is quit though to have a decent conversation with it.
Basically after one minute the signal seems lost, I cannot hear properly the other person, then it comes back, then the call hangs up..and so on.
Anyone having any similar experiences with this phone? Is there any way to fix it? Is there anything I could try to do?
Thanks.

Hello,
thanks for replying.
This does mean I would lose the 3G internet speed, doesn't it?
If so, I don't think that it is an option.

It looks like I can have a decent call with both the settings "GSM only" and "WCDMA only" (with data disabled).
I finished my data allowance for the month and my operator set me a limit of 32k. Could that cause the problem? So there isn't a real device issue?
I have always thought that data and voice had different separated bandwith ranges, speaking in terms of frequency...
Hello,
Hope all is well.
I was wondering if anyone experienced an issue with their Samsung Galaxy S4 where the screen flickers on the bottom 3/4 of the screen with a greyish tint? Not sure what is causing this and can't seem to figure out if it is a hardware or software issue.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated - thank you!!
I'm afraid that is a hardware defect.

Hello,
Yes - I am running a custom rom. Hmm - so it's a known defect huh. Darn - that's a bummer because this phone was expensive!
I don't have flickering

Hardware defects are covered by warranty. So long as you can reproduce the flickering on a 100 percent non rooted stock ROM.

Doubtful it is hardware
I have been having this problem since the 4.3 update. It usually only happens when the screen dims down due to screen timeout. Then it will start to get worse and project the flicker at regular brightness. A reboot usually fixes the problem or lessens it for a period of time.
I have tried with and without my live wallpaper, auto brightness on and off. Some people have recommended a factory reset to see if that clears it, but I have not been willing to do that yet since I have data that I do not want to loose and have not had the time to really troubleshoot. I am completely stock.
This has been driving me crazy for a while now. If you do factory reboot please post if makes a difference.
I think I've found the best solution out there for most annoying screen flickering issues... Done a substential amount of digging and finally discovered the app "Twillight" which works like a real charm by enabling backlight control feature... Try it out first, then thank me and share your experience here ...
