Eonon GA2114 running Malaysk rom. I want to hook up 2 rear lcd's for rear-seat viewing (unit has 2 seperate video out rca's) but can't seem to figure out how to get the dual-zone to function, any ideas? Rear screens just stay blue and don't display anything.
thanks

Most units will only mirror DVD or AV In sources, I think there was talk of one unit doing complete screen mirroring, but I think that was a Lollipop unit.

Hmm, as the unit doesn't have DVD I wonder how this would be accomplished? Does state it has dual-zone on box/site description.
Thanks

It may only mirror the AV In source then. You would have to ask them, unfortunately if it does only mirror the AV In source it is still technically dual zone and would be marketed has such despite the feature being very limited.

I also have a GA2114. Hopefully someone finds a way to mirror more than just AV in. I have a rear entertainment system I tied in. You would think Netflix , YouTube, etc would be able to be mirrored. Looks like I will have to add a chromecast / miracast or something to the VES. Ugh

hey,
i have a very simple question,
I have a note 3 and use the screen mirroring option to send youtube to my media server so i can see it on the big screen as we dont have a smart TV.
but i want to be able to do that anywhere without a media server, their is all these smart usb sticks that turn TV's into smart ones but i dno where to start, i just wanna be able to send my media to the TV, i have a hdmi for my note 3 but it requires a power source and the cable isn't long enough and i really didn't research it properly before buying...
im sure their is a usb or something that will allow me to do this that doesn't cost a lot,
Because I'm interested in the subject too, what software are you using as media server?

Never had a wifi issue. I'm using it in a setup with our 12 year old 40" Sony CRT tube tv lol!!! which I converted to "smart tv". That tv doesn't even has hdmi port, so I have A/V cable going into that converter box with HDMI output and connect smart stick to it. Controlling it with a small bt keyboard and streaming videos from usb stick connected to my Asus wi-fi router. Mostly used by my kids, and obviously streaming movies over wi-fi, and never an issue. This is an old stick version, they have new ones with a better spec. I think most of the issues were with some of the earlier versions, even prior to mine, where stick used to get overheated and causing various issues included wi-fi.

Thoughts? Thinking about ordering one.
I just returned a headunit from ATOTO because it worked like crap.
I like the prospect of 7.1 and offline maps already installed.
Quadcore vs Octacore I don't think makes a huge difference here.
Would love to know opinions.
I have a similar product to this with the product ID "B071LT7LC3" on Amazon. (I cannot post links yet) From the looks of things, my unit is likely the same hardware as yours, only with a different front panel and added DVD player. This is the information I read from the device:
MCU version: MTCD_XRC_V2.52_1
Build number: px3-userdebug 7.1.1 NMF26X eng.hct.20170527.145603 test-keys
Kernerl version: 3.0.101+ [email protected] #550
Model: px3 (800x480 O)
I sadly managed to brick mine by running an incompatible root method for Joying devices via Wireless ADB. I have not found a root method actually works on these units yet. If you are looking for an Android stereo that you can root, look elsewhere. I got a copy of the firmware from Hizpo, but not even that can fix the damage I did to it. It is with this warning I hope to prevent you making the same expensive mistake.
Note that you cannot use these units with a PC via USB, you must use Wireless ADB using an app. Use "126" to get into your factory settings and play with those, or "adbon" to enable debugging. You can also download a Development Options app to reach those settings, as they are hidden. The various methods of recoveries, including the one provided by the seller (Hold down the power button, turn on the power to the radio, release after 5 seconds and wait 30 to reach the recovery), did not seem to work for me either. It is possible I corrupted that too, but I am not sure.
I will happily share any other opinions I have about the unit if I ever manage to get it unbricked.

FYI - there are literally 1000s of different MTCD units by about 10 different manufacturers, they all share pretty much the same hardware and the software is interchangeable

But certainly not root methods and certain firmwares. Pick the wrong one and you can brick your device beyond restoration - to the point where the recovery does not work and no firmware update worked to fix it. I had to get a new unit.

Yes, all RK3188 MTCD units are the same inside, they use the same SoM and ROMs ARE compatible as long as you get the screen res and processor type correct and even if you get the screen res wrong its no big deal, it wont brick.
However if you flash the firmware from an MTCB unit, or from an entirely different, unrelated unit , its sounds like this is what you did.
I was looking at this, but when I noticed it said PX3 I decided to skip.. Doesn't make sense to not have the PX5 chip.
Now if there was a version with a PX5 on the new os Id be interest.

Sure the PX5 will be fast, but the PX3, especially with 2Gb of RAM is perfectly good.

If you decide to order, please update with your impressions. I too tried the ATOTO M4 garbage head unit, and it has almost encouraged me to give up on them entirely. If you find this one to be worthwhile, with it being at a similar price I might give it a shot.

No, not all units are MTCD, I ve heard a rumour that a company is working on MTCB/C N, even if that is untrue then you can still buy MTCB/C units.

Yeah, makes me laugh, the sellers must be stupid, why dont they update the KK ones to L ? they can sell them for more.
I only found similar information for another device here. So I decided to share my experience with you.
I got myself an MTCD device which is obviously manufactured by Klyde (MCU code: KLD).
Today I tried to work on the software and found the device to display good reception in terms of WiFi indicator bars and 72Mbps downstream speed. The access point was quite close too. However despite the claimed reception opening web-pages was almost impossible and often ended in timeouts.
For me it was clear the bad "antenna" (which is basically just a cable visible at the back of the device) is the cause for this.
So I decided to change this.
After opening the device I could see that there is an internal "antenna" and a second antenna which is the one visible at the back.
I know the device only has 2.4GHz WiFi so I just cracked up an old USR WLAN router I was not using any more. This router got 2 replaceable antennas and luckily the antenna ports were not soldered to the board but connected using cables.
Therefore I could simply screw the jacks from the WLAN router to the DTV holes (unused on my device) on the back and solder the cables to the board.
Here are some pictures:
After this "surgery" the radio still fits properly to my car. You might have to be careful using antennas which do not stand off too wide at the back of the unit.
The result was a dramatically increased wireless quality. In fact it does not show more signal strength bars than before and also still sticks to 72Mbps but web pages now open immediately, downloads from play store are quick as expected.
Given the fact those antennas are cheap (less than $1 on ebay) I can't really understand why this is not offered stock.
Cool, KLD MTCD units use an RTL8723bu (you can see it near where the 2 antennas are soldered) its a combined BT/WiFi chip so you may get better BT reception too.

may I get the information which CPU your unit is working with?
I got a 7.1" unit manufactured by Klyde with an 8-core Cortex-A53 at 1.4GHz.
Unfortunately this unit works with Android 5.1.1 instead of 6.x and I am looking for an update.
Does your unit have something like a deep sleep mode, so that there is no cold boot after a short break?
By the way... I am talking about this unit...

My one is a PX5 device (8 core 64-bit [email protected] and 2GB memory.
However without having more information on your device nobody will be able to tell you if you got a PX5 or some custom design.
As asked here you might post the system about screen to get more information on the device you have.
The thread here was mainly opened to discuss about changing antenna on my device. Perhaps it would by worth for you to open your own thread for your issue and how to upgrade (if possible).

Indeed, the "1.4Ghz" bit is strange - it should be 1.6 (RK3188/PX3), 1.5 (RK3368/PX5) or "1.2" (Intel Sofia), not 1.4Ghz.
If its not a typo then it could be an Ownice octacore unit one of which I saw recently with an MCU prefixed by "KLD" suggesting that theyre made by KLD (which was news to me as I thought Ownice was a manufacturer in their own right), unless it was coincidently a random string of letters.
When he posts a screenshot we ll know . . .

Thats the picture I was talking about that I saw the other day - its not and MTCB/C unit or an MTCD unit.
@ikerg said it was an Ownice unit, AFAIK Ownice was a manufacturer in its own right, so I was either wrong or, as I said, maybe its just coincidence and the "KLD" is not related to the manufacturer Klyde who make MTCB/C/D units.
So I d advise checking the Ownice threads in the Android Headunit General forum.

No it seems not to be an Ownice unit. Front and back are completely different to mine. Mine is exactly as shown at Klyde. The reset hole is not on top right as in Ownice units, instead it is positioned just on top of the SD-Card slot.
But thanks a lot and sorry again for capturing.

I wouldnt go by the reset hole, that can be anywhere.
It was @ikerg that said it was Ownice, he seemed quite certain.
Its deffo not MTC at all, or it would say "MTC" in the MCU field, I m a bit stumped, I normally refer people to the Android Headunits General forums for non MTC units, not sure what to say about yours, a I said I cant say whether the "KLD" means its Klyde or whether its just coincidence.
Maybe try contacting Klyde and asking if its one of their units ? Theyre here :

MCU Version : MTCE _HF_V3.30_1

I have a Seicane was supposed to have 64G only had 32G. They changed an image and pointed to that ignoring the title description. I am getting "Not find mcu file!". Two days ago it quit connecting to network. System updates never did anything. Worst $415 I ever spent!
The dual AC control it's supposed to support on my Honda Accord EX-L which fores indeed have dual AC zones has never worked properly. AC setting has never shown in screen as their promo sales screens demonstrate. Their response was I need to swap two wires in harness and they sent an extremely grainy pic that you can't see the colors/stripe in their description.
Anyone looking for an inexpensive android unit to update/ upgrade their car.

Hi guys,
I just installed my android 10 radio from AliExpress. I love the radio and everything works smooth and fine. Except the parking radar, if I reverse, the radar will not work. There is only an image. I dont have a camera.

Parking radar Audi a38p 2010
Same here. Want to switch off the camera in reverse to display park assist.
Did you get anywhere.
Audi a38p with Android head unit. All works great apart from park assist visual display. Switched on in module 10 via vcds so thought it would work.
most these Chinese sellers don't even know how to use the units properly, they have very limited support.... but it might be the can decoder box
On my radio the can box is internal.
But I don't even get to find out if the can box would pick up the PDC signals cause it is set up to turn rear view camera only. I don't get the choice for anything else but the rear view.
I assume the PDC park assist is an app that boots when reverse gear is a activated.
