Hi everyone. My friend and I tried to flash a custom rom to his Xperia S. so before that we have to root, install recovery and etc.
we succeed on flash everything but that's what we thought. We noticed that the phone doesn't have any network, tried different sim and both from different networks are useless. So we Read and we still can't find any solution.
the phone IMEI is intact
the phone is sim unlocked
the baseband is 8660-AAAABQOLYM-313065-39
the phone is on .96 FTF
we already tried to revert back to .96 FTFs I think the baseband is not compatible with our country Philippines.
we already tried downloading the .96 customized PH FTF from Xperiafirm but still there's no luck.
we already tried repairing through PC companion
we already tried flashing FTFs .200 .211 and.96
Can you help us?

Did You flash a stock firmware using flashtool version 0.9.19.1? It causes sim lock while flashing. It was brought to attention when same problem was aced by other user. Quoting him below.

Tried many stock FW and found the reason of the recent problem happened to many people all over the world. That's flashtool-0.9.19.1 which contained some script errors which lead to bootloader locking and loose of network connection

thanks for the immediate reply. What should we do then? just flash a stock FTF using flashtool with different version from the ones you stated? or we can still use the 0.9.19.1 but we have to exclude the simlock?
No network

That's no use bro. I've tried many Stock FW as well as many versions of Flashtool after getting same problem with my phone. As Flashtool creator wrote "The only way to recover from locked phones is to reactivate them in a service center or to restore the 07DA unit". So, if you don't have TA partition backup made prior bootloader unlocking then you've got an alarm with camera & mp3 player made by Sony. The ASC propose to replace the whole motherboard.
Hello
I'm havin a problem and i hope that some of the experts can help.
I upgrade my C6506 to 10.7.A.0.222 generic USA firm but could not make root so i downgrade to 10.1.A.350 from my carrier, obtain root access and install the dual locked recovery after that i try to install a 10.7.A.0.222 preroot but the phone stuck in a bootloop on the sony logo so I had to flash the same room via flashtool the flash was completed but since then my phone don't detect any sim and just mark the legend invalid sim , I can see my version of baseband and the IMEI of my phone besides i have tried several simcards and various roms from my original carrier but nothing works :crying:

Hi guys,
I spent a day trying to get a VoLTE running on T-Mobile CZ (Czech Republic) network on my new unbranded ZX2 Compact (dualsim). In the end I succeeded!
The general problem is that on Xperia devices VoLTE only works with software modifications each provider submits to Sony and distributes with branded phones. If you have unbranded phone you cannot use it and if you try to talk to either your operator or Sony you will end up in a loop between them (each will tell you it is the other's fault). The additional problem is that H8324 (dualsim) is not sold by Czech T-Mobile and so firmware with those needed modifications doesn't even exist.
I solved the problem by taking parts of the regular single sim ZX2 firmware and flashing it on my phone. VoLTE works! No issues noticed so far (will update if I notice anything).
Here are the steps:
1. Install XperiFirm
2. download the branded t-mobile firmware (you have to select the single sim model, the firmware doesn't exist for dualsim model)
3. download the regular non-branded central europe firmware for dualsim model
4. download and install newflasher
5. remove all .ta files and the userdata .sin file from t-mobile firmware, copy newflasher to it's directory
6. remove all .ta files, the userdata .sin file and two oem sin files from non-branded firmware, copy newflasher to it's directory
7. force turn off the phone (hold vol up + power until it vibrates three times - I tried without the force poweroff. Flashmode would refuse to hold - it would reboot every 3s. Not sure why.)
8. enter flashmode (vol down + connect via original cable to pc - I tried other cables and firmware upload always failed midway)
9. run the newflasher from t-mobile firmware
- at this point you have working lte and branded firmware (tmobile boot logos) but you have the single sim firmware so the second sim option doesn't exist but the phone is usable
10. run the newflasher from the non-branded firmware
11. Done, now you have your original non-branded firmware back but because you removed the oem partition files in step 6. the oem partition remains on the tmobile version and volte works.
All those steps can be done without losing your userdata, drm keys or unlocking the bootloader.
Hi, it is even easier and only one flash is needed/enough... you only need to copy oem*.sin files from T-mobile firmware and overwrite these files in unbranded firmware.
I wrote it earlier here on XDA with Vodafone Czech ( XZ2c Dual (DE or) CE1 fw + XZ2 single Global Vodafone oem*.sin files).
It (VoLTE and VoWIFI) works both on OREO and PIE. The downside is that on OREO I lost Play protect certification, so no Google Pay :-/ There was no problem on PIE so far.
tried following all instructions and no volte button appears for me unfortunately, know it is flashed because get the t-mobile symbol when booting
just to follow on from previous comment, worked my way through just about every version of the software on xperifirm, only proxima changed the menus to add a video call option, no volte though
Hi, it actually does not depend (just) on the installed firmware version (UK, CE1, DE,...), because even if the VoLTE button is enabled it does not automatically mean it will work.
In my case, I had the option to enable VoLTE on German firmware, but VoLTE did not work.
But you have to find the suitable firmware/ROM for your operator/carrier. My carrier Vodafone Czech only sells XZ2 single SIM version.
So there are 2 options for XZ2 in Xperifirm and Vodafone Global. I downloaded them and used the oem*.sin file from XZ2 fw to overwrite that file in downloaded XZ2 compact CE1 fw and flashed it with Newflasher.
After booting and if you found the correct oem*.sin file (means that includes correct specific settings for your carrier), Android reboots itself with something like "New carrier ISP settings found...".
After reboot, there will be option to enable VoLTE in Settings,..., Mobile network.
It works for me with Vodafone, but it does not work with T-mobile for virtual carrier Kaktus (it uses T-mobile network).
As there is no oem.sin for XZ2 compact containing providersettings for all providers in Austria, I flashed oem.sin from XZ3 DE AT CH BLX, Volte and Vowifi works now for all providers in those countries. I couldn´t detect any problems caused by flashing, except of update installation via phone software doesn´t work any more with any kind of different oem.sin flashed.
O2 firmware
Hi p.gergely.
I have a bit similar problem.
I changed provider from T-mobile CZ to O2.
I used VoLTE on T-mobile without any problems, but It is not work in O2.
Can you send me where you download the T-mobile FW and it is possible to download the O2 FW?
Thank you.
Letadelko,
see

so for o2 CZ i would suggest the CZ or DE version.
or maby you flash the 2 files from the XZ3 like schdigi did.

Hello,
I currently have a H8324 dual sim flashed with latest customized FR ROM.
But I don't have volte or vowifi menu.
I should have them as Orange FR carrier is compatible.
How could I enable it on mine ?
I'm currently rooted with Magisk.
should I flash the oem* files from H8314 single SIM ?
Thank you
Hello, I flashed the latest Firmware with the Sony Mobile Flasher set to pro mode. I saw the warning because of simlock but there was nothing to see about simlock. Now the phone does not recognize any simcard. I flashed two other firmwares without success. Now I flashed the Bundle for Sony Xperia M5(E5603). FW release : 30.2.A.1.21. Customization : Customized DE
Has anyone an idea what I can do now?
Thank you.
Solved. An other SIM-Card worked.
