it seems you got the bootloop problem thats LG's problem with hardware.. so you can try going back to stock, read carefully in the general for how to retrieve your data.. and you must sent you phone back to get fixed... would you mind sharing your first 3 digits of your serial number..

Well i got a similar problem with yours earlier this month. I was browsing on Facebook and it suddenly hangs on me and kicked into a restart and never got pass the boot logo since (at least in room temperature). Then i realised i got the problem most people with this phone had, bootloop issue. As per searching on the internet, i found that there is a slight hope of backing up my data by putting the phone in the freezer, which i did. Guess what? The phone boots up and i manage to backup all my files (while it's in the freezer). Once it's out of the freezer and went back to room temperature, the nightmare repeats itself and i have to send it in for repairs.
I'm just sharing this just so if there are people with the same issue as i had could have at least backup their data off the phone.

Last night at a party I go to take a picture by holding down the Volume Down button whilst locked. The camera app didn't pop up and subsequently my phone crashed. I thought nothing of it, but then it wouldn't turn off or recognise anything. Even when I popped the battery out and in. It's stuck on boot. So I let it run out of charge, go home, charge it and the little battery icon animation that goes round once you've turned it on gets stuck, I can't tell what the phone's percentage is - it just stays frozen. Stuck on this now instead of boot.
After about 10 minutes of it being stuck suddenly I got the error message:
[784680] Fastboot mode started
?!?! What gives? I only rooted it once but then flashed it to stock immediately when the phone first came out and I've left it as is since.
Any help is really appreciated. I need my phone for work tomorrow.

My phone did the same last week. Still haven't found a solution. Can't enter Download mode, as it hangs even there.
Same Thing
Bumping for the Guy as the Same thing happened to me.Any Kind of Help would be highly appreciated!
same
This is the same problem I have
Update: I sent it in for RMA. Will be receiving a replacement unit today. Seems like the only way around it, if a swap is the way to "fix" this.
Hi All,
My phone will not boot. I have tried soft resets multiple times. It will not even boot after I selected the factory data reset by holding down the volume down and power button since it seems like that requires a full boot to reset. During boot it shows the LG logo and sometimes makes it to the AT&T logo but after that either black screens, back to the LG logo and powers off, or boot cycles and keeps showing the LG logo multiple times. I have taken out the SD card and tried all these steps with and without it. Took out the sim card and reseated it. The phone is stock and not rooted.
Let me know if you guys need more information or have any ideas.
Thank you all and I'm sure this is been solved before, but I'm at work and don't have time to research so thoroughly through all the threads/posts.
if it's not rooted and stock, i'd send it back to lg under warranty

I have already put in a ticket to LG before this post for their return shipping information and repair. I was just hoping by some miracle that someone had a fix besides a factory reset since it won't even boot to allow the factory reset.
Thank you
Ok, sorry for the lacking help! Good luck, hope someone else replies with a suggestion
This just happened to me too.
Shows the lg logo. Sometimes the att logo.
But, just doesnt boot up. All i see is a blank screen :/
From everything i read here on XDA it seems that many of the phones are faulty.
Symptoms are almost identical. Outta no reason reboots and dead phones. Many of them are stock not rooted.
I have still no answer from LG about mine. Hope to hear soon. Something is going on with these phones but what causes it.....that`s the question....
The same thing happened to my H-815 model. I went to bed listening to YouTube and woke up to a dead phone. The LED doesn't come on when charging. Just like you, when I turn it on all I see is the LG boot screen and then it shuts off. The phone repeats this twice and then doesn't turn on again.
This is embarrassing, but I was trying to install Pokemon Go on my G4 and the phone got really hot and rebooted. It never came back. Just went into a boot loop. I found instructions online on how to do a master reset with the power button and volume down letting it up briefly when seeing the logo and then pressing it again and letting it boot. I answered the question about deleting all user data and then answered it again. It said it was erasing data, then froze for a few hours at "optimizing apps" on one of the steps while I left it plugged in. I eventually pulled the battery to get it to respond again and now it just shows the LG logo and then goes dark. While dark it doesn't respond to button presses or let me try again to power it on, etc.
Any chance of me getting this phone working again? Is there anything else I can try aside from the master reset that I've already tried?
Hello if you look under the battery and your serial number starts with 505 or close its dead.

send it back for reapir.
hi, mine was 509. It died 2 weeks ago, showing only "LG life is good" if trying to boot it. No way into recovery. (did boot one time very slowly to lockscreen before the definitive death)
This seems to be the same for you.... dead CPU I suppose. I'm still waiting for the repair.
(curious about the 505 asserted here, since mine was higher)
Hello the first 3 digits of serial number indicate date of manufacture, and the early ones have a manufacturing defect.

Hello,
mine was 510 and died on me 4 weeks ago, (boot loop with only LG logo) as it died from overheating (or at least was very hot when die occured), I tried to cool it and it was "succesful"
It put it in the freezer for some time and then could boot it on TWRP and make a full backup (I left it in the freezer the whole time)!
boot at normal temp lead to black screen in 10-15secs. I sent it back for repair (motherboard replacement was made in less than 1 week by Lg France), I am now waiting the answer from Lg developer to unlock the bootloader again.
I guess you can at least try and see if you can have the same result as me.

Hello all, this happened recently today.
My phone just "shut off" into a dark screen and pressing/holding any buttons does absolutely nothing. I've plugged out the battery and tried to power it on again but it would do the boot screen then straight into a black screen.
I've also tried different batteries but that had no affect either.
The phone does not connect to my computer also.
Currently about over 2 years old, 5.0.1 i believe running the dragon root (i forgot the name but the post had a purple dragon i believe?)
Have you tried Download Mode?? If phone shows the LG Logo then I guess you have a change to enter download mode and recovery with a TOT or KDZ

I've tried going into download mode, but it went straight into the blank screen again. Would it still be in download mode?
the problem happen to the hardware. i think its Emmc card.

Try that
Maybe it was a short circuit. Has your phone reached high temperatures to overheat? Have you tried replacing some parts or sending it to a specialist? Your problem is probably a hardware error.
According to you say you can not enter recovery, download mode, or load, based on all this an old g3 that I had, had the same defects and take it to the technician and told me that the motherboard had melted in some sectors, can Be that it happened to you.

LG never again!!
Hi everybody, first I want to thank all devs for their work! It's greatly appreciated, Thank you!
Alrighty then I have the USCC LG G4 running or was running US99122a. Three days ago it's started to restart when ever it wanted to no matter what the battery level was at, plugged in or not just up and restart, then very shortly after it would restart with in the very first minute of being fully booted. Then shortly after that it just went into a bootloop and is now stuck on the LG screen. I have tried everything that I can find on the internet with absolutely no success of any sort. Ive went in to reset mode using voldown+power and when say yes to final warning it just stays on that screen like its frozen then eventually reboots back to being stuck on LG screen. LGUP does not work, it doesnt find it's model number. it knows what com and us99122a but unknown for model. Lg flashtool stops at 9% during s/w upgrade and either says lost connection with server OR needs/ask administrator permission (something like that but meaning the same thing) I've read that when it does don't disconnect don't do anything and after 15 to hour later presto good to go but no, no presto. I decided to ask you guys after leaving it like that for little more then 24 hours now. I need serious help as I cant afford another phone and my g4 was everything. Internet, tv, movies, work, research literally everything through miracast PLEASE HELP and thank you!
Only fix for that is a board replacement or warranty. Google LG G4 bootloop it's a common and known issue.

little update for ya after trying LG UP and another LG software install pc program and 2 other android firmware versions all it would do is freeze at 9% then nothing no matter what i tried OTHER than finally getting hard bricked. (pc said when connected corrupted device not recognizing it) So I am now a firm believer in and advise to others with this problem if you're able to get it replaced through LG do it cause that is the only fix. Even tho I could of had replaced I didnt do that, instead I grabbed my 30-30 deer hunting rifle and blasted one lonely hole!!, Yes a hole and I tell you what the screen on the G4 is superb ! besides immediately around the bullet hole it didnt even spiderweb. id say 65-70% of the screen was still crack free!! no joke!
