Your Japanese S0-01C
http://www.nttdocomo.com/pr/2011/001515.html
(Android 2.3.2; ja-jp; SonyEricssonSO-01C Build/3.0.D.2.79)
If you flash to non-japan firmware, you may not get your japanese specifc apps and features support. The Japan firmware is different from the worldwide firmware like HK, Europe, Americas and etc.

You should be fine flashing a different ROM on the SO-01C there would be afew changes in the information but technically it shouldn't matter. As the other user mentioned, each firmware has its region and market apps which are pre-installed on the firmware and when you flash they are on your phone but if you don't care for those, you can simply do it by using FLashTool.
Good Luck
thanks for your clearly reply, i'm not a Japanese, i'm just like the pink so i don't need any jp apps
can you tell me which 2.3.3 FW now is the best for arc (battery is the most i care)

May you can use these firmwares. All are original, untouched, decrypted from SEUS with Flashtool
The Generic Nordic firmwares for Xperia devices are used to work much stable for me and contains much less bloatware compared to others.
ICS

1266-2449 (6.1.A.2.55) Customized Switzerland (In fact, unbranded, with minimal bloatware)
JB

1266-2449 (6.2.B.0.200) Customized Switzerland
1266-2032 (6.2.B.1.96) Customized Hong-Kong
Please don't ask silly question, or screenshots, I repeat, these are stock firmwares from SONY.

Thanks for uploading to 4shared, very good website to download from At first I thought my phone was stuck on a boot loop during the "XPERIA" logo but turns out it just takes a while for it to load!
I downloaded the .ftf file linked in this thread and it's great. It's a little more current than the one you linked to. It's French in origin, it's unbranded and very clean. I did not try the one you linked to, so I can't compare.
After flashing that and updating OTA, I did this to root it and install CWM.

AFAIK they use the same BB. My device originated from HK, and works well on 2G/3G in the CE, either the Nordic and HK fw too.
BB problem could happen only if you flash an XAS fw to Acro HD, or vicaversa.

No, flashing stock FTF files does not require the bootloader to be unlocked.

If you want the stock rogers rom, you will need to wait awhile til it leaks somewhere
i think you are right im on the generic US rom, all is good, got mms working, i feel like lte is verrrry in and out, not sure if its acting normal. also, pretty frequently throughout the day i lose signal all together very briefly, i get the little red x on my signal bars, for like 10 sec

I'd also like to know. There isn't any mention in any thread I've found that the generic/factory ROMs are bloatware-free or not.
I need an unbranded firmware for the Xperia ZQ (xperia ZL version for countries with different LTE frequencies, like Brazil).

ofcourse its not bloatware free.. its STOCK SONY FW for global versions etc.. but varies on carrier FW`s that have there own apps on it.. flash to stock for selling purposes or to unroot, nor claiming your warranty.. the only advantage is u can flash LTE FW to non LTE FW same model..

I'm sorry, I generally equate "generic" with "nothing added," as did at least one other forum member. Thank you for the clarification.

NUT stated that if it is an incremental update that he would make a flashable so look to something from him when it is available. Also, tft is a type of transistor, .ftf is a Flash Tool File, I keep seeing .tft used incorrectly.

[Q] Note 8.0 LTE (GT-N5120) Kitkat 4.4

HI all,
I'm a Hong-konger. My tablet is GT-N5120 LTE version. Samsung does not release 4.4.2 firmware for this region.
Can I install other region's one, such as UK or Singapore firmware for my tablet ?
Just worry if the firmware in other region make the phone feature of this tablet not work.
regards, Ray

I'm in Australia and I used the UK version and then reflashed my carrier's previous modem - it all worked brilliantly.
Hi, what should I do to reflashed the previous modem?

I am from HKG, too. I used the N5120XXDNH3 (BTU) and the modem that comes with it. It worked and I don't need to install extra modem file. My carrier is one2free 4G. Hope this helps.
