Not a clue why it's in bootloop, but connect with adb and "adb push <cm11rom> /sdcard/
Do the same with gapps and supersu if u want root. Thats assuming you don't have them there already. Still need to flash them.

Yeah in twrp settings when you go to restore set it to skip md5 check and signature verification. Also go to mount and make sure there are no checks I'm the boxes of system and data if there are unchecked them and try a reboot as for fff when you get it running use kfu to send that to your kindle kinda hard to access recovery without it
Edit: a couple of side notes did you wipe? What did you wipe? What rom did you use? If it was a rom with the gapps pre baked in IMO when the gapps are added in there are often mounting issues . If gapps were not added did you flash the proper gapps?
i use cwm recovery because that was what ive always used.. i can connect my kindle to computer an kfu recognizes it online but it freezes whenever i try to use twrp recovery or cliclk fff any backdoor way of switching recoveries without using kfu?
Make sure your driver is android adb composite interface if it says android adb interface this driver is incorrect . Twrp really is the standard for the kindle. If your having trouble booting to the system then mount your sdcard transfer this bootloader to your card unmount and flash it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1632375 only download it from this link. Then transfer this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1390773 and the gingerbread gapps provided on this page to your sdcard wipe factory reset wipe cache wipe dalvik wipe system flash rom flash gapps reboot system if prompted . Should boot fine for you then the rest can get sorted out when you have a running system use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1500935 to replace cwmr with twrp when you reach that point good luck
Thank you worked like a charm
Hey,
I've read all the guides and they all kind'a passed through my problem without mentioning it..
I suppose it's a driver issue, but I'll try asking anyway:
I'm on cm10 (as of tonight), upgraded from cm7.
I installed TWRP 6 mo ago though KFU, but now I can't get it to work.
(it says "offline").
I tried connecting with 2 PCs and no luck (reinstalled drivers, restarted and rebooted several times).
Is there another way to install google apps? installing them one by one doesn't work ("App not installed").
and is there another way to update TWRP and FFF from within the KF, as opposed to by PC (not recognising KF)
i want to install my google account and get the KF to work normally with Gapps.
*yeah, I'm a noob.
some details:
I have the java dk and android sdk installed, downloaded the last JB Gapps.
adb shell (ie) gives me "error: device not found"
I have samsung gs2 i9100 that i use on the same PC
i can mount sd card using TWRP and cm10 with no difficulty.
You can transfer the files to your Kindle via AirDroid or directly download the file to the Kindle.
Boot into TWrP and install the Gapps and TWRP updates just like you installed the ROM.

Thank you again!
details for anyone who has the same problem:
I had root, FFF and TWRP from previous installation, but older versions (twrp 2.0, FFF not sure), used cm7.
couldn't install Gapps on cm10, had no access via PC (prob. driver issue. gave me trouble - KFU and adb command didn't recognize device)
what I've done:
1. entered TWRP through recovery and flashed google apps in their original zip.
2. downloaded busybox & goomanager (Terminal emulator was already preinstalled in cm10)
3. opened each app to enable superuser [su] and install busybox
4. from goomanager, downloaded: browse all files -> devs -> smirkis -> otter -> smirkit -> smirkit v1.4 installer (most recent)
5. tried flashing it through terminal emulator ("su", enter, "smirkit", enter). su worked, smirkit didn't find the file.
6. rebooted to recovery (twrp 2.0), installed/flashed smirkit from there (the zip file was inside goomanager folder)
7. rebooted to cm10, opened terminal emulator, wrote "su", enter, "smirkit", enter and it worked.
8. installed TWRP 2.2.0 and FFF 1.4.
9. performed backup when everything was working.
EDIT:
managed to get it to work with PC commands. disabled and then enabled usb debugging & reinstalling drivers made it work this time. drivers are so random.
Thank you so much for your help. now I can use my kindle again with Gapps and updated recoveries.
Hello i need some help to fix my kindle fire. I was using the kf utility to try and root my fire and some how deleted my system files so when it reboots it goes to the twrp screen and when I try to reboot from there it says there is an error and system wont boot. I just got my kf a week ago and I am perplexed with fixing it, being I am used to Android 4.0, I would be thankfull for any help i could get.
Thanks very much racerx....
Download a rom on your computer. Hook the fire up to the usb port. In twrp, mount the sdcard and push the rom to the kindle. Unmount and install the rom from twrp. Reboot and enjoy.

In TWRP go to mount, and mount as a USB drive. Then side-load a rom into any of the sd card folders. Custom rom or if you want to return to stock Kindle, download the latest update, change it from a bin to a .zip file, and load that.
Then, still in TWRP, choose to install the rom you loaded, and let it go from there.
Hah, didn't see Ixthusdan's reply, or else I wouldn't have posted dup info, sorry!
Install this Jelly Bean ROM. Sweetest thing ever.

recently while "toying" with some system files (which i shouldn't have) i deleted my kindle fire package installer thinking that i could still use my
google play installer well i was wrong . so long story short i wiped my system using twerp now ever time i run at 4000 (normal boot) im stuck at title screen and cannot connect to usb.
Key notes:
1.I have twerp
2.my entire system is blank from what i know (although it has title screen and basic boot)
3.im stuck on title
4.i have a usb cable for it (not factory cable)
5.im scared as hell
Unless you have FireFireFire (blue Kindle Fire logo) installed, you need a factory cable.

If you used KFU to flash TWRP and root then it is my understanding that you have FFF. Excuse me if this is a silly question, but why not just mount sdcard in recovery, place a ROM on your internal storage, and gapps, and then flash both of them after doing the necessary wipes? You may lose some if not all of your data, but at least you Kindle will be fixed
Let me know if you need more detailed instructions.

Glad it worked for you
My Kindle fire kept shutting down and rebooting so I am trying to erase and go back to stock with the latest Kindle Fire update.
I have TWRP v2.5.0.0 installed and downloaded the kindle fire update from the Amazon website:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=200790620
I renamed the file to update.zip and placed on the kindle fire via USB port. I get "error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard/update.zip' . I made sure there were no hidden extensions on the update.zip when I renamed the Amazon update bin file.
what should I try next? I did a 'factor reset' from TWRP and it will no longer boot into the Kindle OS (which is fine as it rebooting all the time automatically anyways). However, I can not flash the Amazon rom to get working again.
Can anyone please help? I have spent many hours with no success so far.
Thank you

Let me understand this it loads to the system momentarily then crashes and reboots or never makes it to system boot?
If it makes it to system boot race the device as fast as you can to factory reset and reset it if it never boots to system for even 20 seconds or so you need a factory cable http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1392693 post #9. in order to install TWRP and fff again .
Once in recovery you will do a factory reset and wipe everything except your sdcard prior to flashing stock. At that point you are better off flashing prerooted stock there is a new 6.3.3 available.

I can no longer boot to the Amazon Kindle OS because I used 'factory reset' in TWRP 2.5 which appears to have erased it. If there is a way to restore from this point please let me know.
I can still boot fine to TWRP so I should be able to work with it still, correct? I installed the Android SDK and use 'adb devices' which says:
Lists of devices attached
0123456789ABCDEF recovery
If TWRP would use my bin file that I changed to update.zip then I think I could reinstall the factory image with no problem.
What other things can I try?
Thanks!

Since adb works use adb to push another Rom to the device. Look at general section kinfaun's Kindle Fire for beginners and how to flash a ROM if not in awhile I will help you push one to the device.

you need TWRP 2.2.2.1 or lower to install an unmodified Stock update.zip
but you can install my [2014][Pre-Rooted][Stock]System Version 6.3.3-Original Kindle Fire Only
just download to pc> connect kindle to pc>
in TWRP select mount>check sd card>select mount usb
copy preroot.6.3.3.zip to sd card folder
unmount sd card>select install
When you go to mount make sure system and Data have no checks in the box either.
Holy crap that worked!!! Very easy!!

I did a factory reset too, as I was interested in going back to stock. Now mine won't boot to Kindle OS, just to TWRP. I tried the 6.3.3 pre-rooted and Modaco, but it still won't boot. Seems like a similar issue but I can't figure it out. I appreciate any help!
