Hi all. I've noticed that ever since the marshmallow update, default numbers for contacts are not showing first in the G4's default dialer. It's causing me to ring the wrong number too many times.
Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a way to reset to the dialer's previous behaviour or can anyone recommend a good alternative? Thanks.
No one else then?

I'm hoping someone either knows how to fix this problem or at least has experienced it. The problem is that my Sprint TP2 has stopped dialing contacts from the contacts list and the favorites list in TF3D. When I got my contact or favorites list to make a call, I select either the mobile # or land-line #, and the phone does not place the call. Continued tapping of the desired # does nothing. However I am able to send SMS/MMS or email to the selected contact. Anyone ever experienced this phenomenon, and if so what's the fix? I'm hoping there's a setting available to solve the issue without doing a hard reset. BTW, numerous soft resets did not resolve the problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
I have a sprint epic 4g touch. I'm having issues with my contacts. There are a few contacts that I give a special ringtone too. Then later on it seems to change back to either the default ring or it assigns a diff time. Anyone else having this issue?
That post is supposed to say " or it assigns a diff tone".. not "time".. Sorry
Hey lads,
Changed my firmware to WanamLite 1.5 (with the RedPill kernel) and just found out that when I call a saved contact, on the "Dialing" screen all it shows is the number and when I hang up it asks me whether I want to save the number as a contact. Happens on every contact a have (no matter if saved as a google or a FB contact) Any ideas why that would be happening?
I did just install HaxSync and synced the existing contacts. Though i couldn't find anyone else experiencing that particular issue with their app.
Thanks in advance for your input

Update to latest version. It has this functionality.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
I'm on an 855 using 10j and Xposed with G3 Tweaksbox. I'm not really sure what the culprit could be so I'm wondering if anyone else is having a similar issue. In my call logs, all the numbers show up as an Unsaved Number, even though the numbers are saved and no contact name information shows up.

I had the same problem after flashing 10j, i assume it is a bug. The quick workaround I did was to go into edit each contact and then hit save without making any changes and they show in call log as usual.
Experiencing this.
Tried saving as second post suggested. Didn't work.
Anyone else solve this issue? Thanks.
Hi guys, is anyone else experiencing this?
I did a full GPE conversion and I'm now on Lollipop 5.1.
The bug consists of this: When I make a call to some of my contacts after I finish the convo, the number and contact appear as private number in the dialer app.
Tried installing custom dialers but the same happens. I did a little googeling and came up with this on the motorola forums, with no solution. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Factory reset doesn't help, tried it.
edit: Motorola researched the problem, this is their conclusion: "In reviewing your case we can see that the network is sending an indication to the phone that the number should be hidden.
On KitKat the same message was sent by the network but it was ignored by the phone. Lollipop was changed to respect this message and that is the reason why you have the issue. We are currently reaching out to these networks to determine why this is happening."
