Touchscreen not working

Hello, I am having serious issues with the touchscreen of my BA.
The screen part is kind os loose, it moves slightly sideways.
I have no idea if the two things are connected, the touchscreen also does not work properly, as it randomly does not detect taps.
I have noticed that if I press for a bit the sides of the screen down onto the back of the BA, it works better for a while.
Do you guys have any clue on what the issue could be and how to solve it?
I myself have the idea that some tap detecting thing behind the screen has detached from the screen itself, and that I have to open it to fix it. Am I wrong?
Up.
Anybody who can give some advise before I take it to assistence?
unfortunatly
i have the same issue...and everybody is telling me i need new screen ..if u get a solution... i'd be grateful if u tell me.thnx alot
Hi, I have disassembled it, trying to understand something, but really nothing happened, I can't pretend much since i am not an expert. i have no clue, that is why i am about to take it to the shop and get it fixed. damn it.
hi..
saw this in another site..hope it helps..
"Are you using a screen protector that has got under the case or could there be a bit of detritus between the screen and the case? These cause pressure on the digitizer making it unable to register taps.
Take off the screen protector and see if any improvement. Fold a piece from a sheet of copier paper at the corner to make a scoop and go around the edge of your digitizer just under the case."
regards..

not my case, but thank you for your help!

Anyone one had this issue?

I was putting a zag screen protector on my evo and i used there spray and did what i was suppose to and when i finaly got the thing lined up and good to go i let it sit there for 20 minutes put my battery back in and noticed i have a grey out spot on my lcd screen under the glass by the home button i think the screen seal is no good anyone have this issue be4. I didnt spray my phone down. Sucks cause now im unrooting it and gonna take it in cause power button is squeeking and not working all the time and the grey spot is getting annoying..
Assuming you didn't spray to much, and assuming you squeezed as many bubbles and all the liquid underneath out and picked up the liquid quickly with an absorbent of some kind...then likely just coincidental. The replacement phones are crap. I'm taking mine back again because there is something wrong with the sound processing, I get crackles in the speaker and on headphones, and their is dust under my screen

[Q] G3 virtually unharmed after dropping, but screen won't turn on

So while walking downstairs to my basement, I tried to put my phone back into my pocket and it slipped and dropped on the hard floor. It dropped about 4 ft and it had a hard plastic case around it (one of the Korean model cases with the small section exposed though). The glass screen protector I had on it cracked, but the actual screen is fine. I tried turning the phone back on, but only the notification light comes on and it keeps blinking green and blue.
EDIT: So I guess the LCD is broken cause the digitizer is completely intact and there's no indication that the phone was even dropped. Usually its the other way around.....

Do you have any new updates regarding your phone problem?

The only new thing that I discovered was that the backlight is probably broken. I can see a very faint image of the LG boot logo and the carrier logo when the phone boots up, but it just hangs there and the LED keeps blinking till the battery runs out/is taken out so I don't know what else is up.

No cracks at all. The only crack I had was on my tempered glass screen protector. I thought it was the actual screen, but I took it off and the screen was unscathed.

Ive just dropped mine from sitting on the loo, 2 foot drop if that and again, wont turn the screen on led flashed blue/green omg, not having a good day after being late for work cos the car ran out of petrol while I was scraping the windows, then broke the key off in the lock for the shed, had to break into my shed only to find the petrol can was empty, defrosted my wife's car and went n got some petrol in the can, fitted the filler pipe to the can, on putting the petrol in the car the pipe snapped off so had to go hunting for another, now I've just dropped my sodding phone gurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Ive just shined a light on it and it is on and working but screen is black without the torch, managed to turn brightness to full, no better.
Update, phone was deemed not repairable by my phone insurance through my bank so they sent me a brand new one yummy ?

Phone stopped working after screen replacement

My phone was working fine when the screen was cracked. I didn't check if it was working right before I replaced the screen but I'm assuming it was. While replacing the screen I put some scratches on the digitizer. I also wiped it with a paper towel and it change color on some part of it. When I turn the phone on the charging light, to left corner works. Also the bottom soft keys light up as well. But that's it the screen does not light up at all and the phone doesn't make any sound when it turns on. Could I have damaged the digitizer in any way? I don't see how replacing the screen would have done that. I also noticed that while the phone is off I can see through the glass screen and see the digitizer. Where before it would look all black.

Did you replace the display, or just the glass? If you scratched the digitizer theres a good chance thats the problem. What did you use on the towel that caused it to change color? Thats also not a good sign. If you could explain a litte better what you replaced, what you used and how you did it, it would probably help to figure out what happened. But either way it does sound like it was damaged in the process.
I Just replaced the top glass not the whole digitizer and all. I didn't have anything on the paper towel but I think some oil from my hands. Then I tried to clean it with water so it looked like a really big smudge of oil. When I watch fix it videos all the digitizer looks black and mine looks silver. Also from reading on Google lots of people had this happen to them. It seems maybe the hair dryer made the phone too hot, if extreme heat could damage it. Or just too much pressure. Since I did put some scratches on it maybe I applied too much pressure. Lot of people are saying even the slightest bit too much pressure can damage it. But I still don't get why mine looks silver and not black.

I think the heat related discoloration is mostly seen when the display is on. Not sure about when its off. Cant say why it would be silver looking though. I would think youd need more heat than a hair dryer for that to be the cause though.
It may be from the water. Its just a guess though. Ive only ever seen or used rubbing alcohol or certain types of cleaners.

Question Defect in screen coating?

Anybody else had this?
Went to apply a screen protector today and when I wiped the screen with the alcohol wipe I could see clearly 2 small, and I mean small circles about halfway up the screen. Initially thought it was a couple of water marks or something sticky but it wasn't
Can't feel them on the surface and looking under the light they look almost like when you get a spec of dust under an applied screen protector. EE replacing tomorrow as it's within 14 days but can't see this as a common fault after having a quick Google.
Hope it's just a one off manufacturing fault but worth a check. So hard to see but if you steam the screen up with your breath you will see them.
Tried to show the circles in the attached, one breathed on, the other normal.
Looks like dust got in between the glass and screen when they were putting it together.
