Hi,
Just spent a day figuring out the issue.
1. The software is now checking online and require internet, when you connect to internet it downloads the files from internet and you can not use the KDZ file
2. In order to use the KDZ file you have to find a older version
Check this URL,
http://forum.shiftdelete.net/lg/364123-lg-g2-kzd-yukleme-lg_kdz_fw-update_offlinefix.html
It has a download link to this file [http://dosya.co/xixcjv2lkth6/LG_KDZ_FW-Update_OfflineFix.rar.html]
1. change 'hosts' file in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc and add - 127.0.0.1 csmg.lgmobile.com
2. Install some webserver, i am a webdeveloper so I already had APACHE web server installed.
3. By default, apache listens to port 80, change it to 9002 as the update software try connecting to lgmobile.com on this port
4. When done, follow the tutorial on the Turkish forum... here is something which i understood from there
1 - lg_kdz_fw-update_offlinefix \ b2cappsetup Extract these folders somewhere. There are two folders, "LGMOBILEAX FIX", "LG_KDZ_FW-Update_OfflineFix"
2 - c: \ ProgramData \ lgmobileax delete the contents. (If you can not find the folder create an empty folder)
3 - "lgmobileax fix" paste the files in the c: \ ProgramData \ lgmobileax folder
4 - C: \ Windows \ System32 \ drivers \ etc folder, scroll to and open the hosts file with notepad and at the bottom in "127.0.0.1 csmg.lgmobile.co I type" (without quotes)
5 - automatic offline file, run the procedure and confirm the warning GROUPS - i dont know what does that mean, so ignore it
6 - There is a VBS file, well you can run from there or manually follow the tutorial to run the windows enabler and other file using win xp mode and stuff, you know what you are doig... right?
7 - Turn your phone settings developer settings and USB debugging mode on, if your phone is in DOWNLOAD MODE then no worries
8 - unmute your phone by pressing and holding the usb cable. will go into download mode.
9 - R & D test tool 3gqct in the program and bring the selected diag.
10 - at the bottom right of the screen windows enabler program has opened. Click it once and turn it over ten written.
11 - kdz select your file and click on the normal web upgrade test.
12 - The Republic of Korea has been selected under the on-screen language is not set in quarters. Click OK to start processing of fear.
13 - the phone will be opened automatically after installation.
(If your phone restarts itself constantly by long-pressing the power button, power off. Then take a hard format. Then did not pick up the phone I have installed has been installed smoothly kdz file)
so i hope this will work for you,,,
if it does.. press thanks
thanks

Run Windows Bridge for Android (Astoria) on unsupported devices Build 10.0.10536.1004

First of all, use this thread at your own risk.
If you decide to give it a try make sure your smartphone has a SD Card slot otherwise this will not work and it's best to use this on a secondary device because there is always a chance that you have a critical bug and a hard reset is necessary to restore your device.
Also 512MB RAM devices are not supported, so only use this tutorial if your device has 1GB or more RAM.
There is already a thread on here from jimmy19990 that explains how to do this but it seems that people with less experience in this department do not understand it completely, so I decided to put all the steps in this thread:
1. (skip this step if you are on Windows Phone 8.1) If you already upgraded to Windows 10 Mobile make sure you go back to Windows Phone 8.1 with "Windows Phone Recovery Tool" or "Lumia Software Recovery Tool" which you can find here:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/mobile/support/faq/?action=singleTopic&topic=FA142987
2. Backup your files on your SD Card and format it in Windows Phone 8.1 (settings < storage sense), if you get a message that asks to save new files to the SD Card click no and check in storage sense that new files are all saved to the phone, not the SD Card.
3. After this download and install the "WP8.1 SDK Tools Lite Setup Av1.20" from here:
http://www13.zippyshare.com/v/15281796/file.html
4. With "WP8.1 SDK Tools Lite Setup Av1.20" installed you will have "Windows Phone Developer Registration 8.1" (start menu < Windows Phone SDK 8.1) open this and register as Developer.
5. Go to the app store on your phone and search for "Preview for Developers" and install this app, move it to the SD Card with storage sense (settings < system < storage < phone < apps & games) select the app and tap "Move to SD Card".
6. Now download "CustomWPSystem_0500.xap" from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/win...p-customwpsystem-patch-xaps-wpsystem-t2975419
7. Connect your phone with a usb cable to your computer.
8. Under "Windows Phone SDK 8.1" is another program called "Windows Phone Application Deployment 8.1", open it and click "Browse", navigate to the "CustomWPSystem_0500.xap" file and click "Deploy", after a while you get a message that it succeeded.
9. Download "CustomPFD_0003.xap" from another thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/win...xap-custompfd-registry-editor-tweaks-t2981057
and copy "CustomPFD_0003.xap" to the root directory of your SD Card.
10. Take your phone and open "CustomWPSystem", tap "SD Card permissions", click on "sd card" and press the checkmark.
Now tap "Select the XAP" (at the bottom of the page in "CustomWPSystem"), navigate to "sd card", select "CustomPFD_0003.xap" and "Apply XAP".
Wait till you get a message "Operation Completed".
11. Close the "CustomWPSystem" app and open "Preview for Developers" app (icon will be changed), go to HKLM\SYSTEM\Platform\DeviceTargetingInfo and change these values (just open for example PhoneSOCVersion, put 8974 in the textfield, press "Write", back button and go to the next one):
For a Full HD (1920x1080) device:
PhoneSOCVersion: 8974
PhoneMobileOperatorName: 000-GB
PhoneManufactorModelName: RM-937_eu_euro1_231
PhoneModelName: Lumia 1520
OR
For a HD (1280x720) or lower resolution* (800x480 / 854x480 / 960x540) device:
PhoneSOCVersion: 8926
PhoneMobileOperatorName: 000-HK
PhoneManufactorModelName: RM-984_1000
PhoneModelName: Lumia 830
*On lower resolution devices the interface will be a bit smaller as normal after the registery edit, but as soon as you complete step 14 your original device info and interface will come back.
12. After you changed your info to one of these devices, go to the app store, search "Windows Insider" app, install it and open it.
13. Sign up for the Fast Ring and check for updates, you will receive a message that "Build 10.0.10536.1004" is available, let it download and install (will take around an hour or more and the device will reboot itself a few times).
14. Once Windows 10 Mobile is installed do a hard reset (settings < system < info < factory settings) and let it format the SD Card also. (this will also take about an hour or more)
15. Now you will have back your original Device Info and in windows < system32 < aow will be the necessary files to run Windows Bridge for Android.
The following steps are to actually install an APK on Windows 10 Mobile:
1. Download Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784
download and install "vcredist_x86.exe" and "vcredist_x64.exe".
2. In this thread you will find the new files for the "WindowsBridge.7z":
http://forum.xda-developers.com/win...-fix-android-applications-installing-t3202036
Extract "WindowsBridge.7z" and install "IpOverUsbInstaller".
3. Here you will find the installer to deploy the APK's to your device (Download Version 1.3.1 Here / minimal_adb_fastboot_v1.3.1_setup):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790
Download and install.
4. Turn off your lock screen (settings < personal settings < lock screen), time-out: never.
5. To enable developer mode on the phone and to find it in the network:
First find your ip adress from the phone: settings < network and wireless < wi-fi and press your network, type your ip address in a document.
Then go to settings < update & security < for developers, press "Developer mode" and tap "Yes".
Turn on "Device discovery" and press pair.
6. Open your map "WindowsBridge" from step 2, copy the directory and open an elevated command prompt (run < cmd < right-click < run as administrator).
Type "cd" and paste the directory of the "WindowsBridge" map (example: "cd C:\Users\User\Downloads\WindowsBridge".
After this type "wconnect.exe" and copy paste the ip adress from the document in step 5 and press enter (example: wconnect.exe xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx).
Enter the pin you see on your phone, wait a while and it will say "connected".
7. Now download the APK you want to test with this link (just search the app in the Google Play Store, copy the link and paste it in the website below):
http://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/
Cut and paste the app to C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot and copy the directory of this map.
8. Go back to your command prompt type "cd" and paste the directory ("cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot")
9. Type "adb install" and copy and paste the name of your apk with the .apk extension included ("adb install test.apk").
10. Wait a few minutes and there will be a message "Succes", now on the phone press "Abort" and "unpair all", your APK will be installed.
I tested this method with a Lumia 640, used the Lumia 830 device info and it works like a charm.
Thanks to all the threads and websites I mentioned, because all these tools make it possible and easier to run this project.

Not sure about that, but just to be safe, I think you should use info from a compatible device that has the same resolution as yours.

Make sure you have the 1GB RAM version of the lumia 635 because the 512MB version will not work in this stage of the project. (only 1GB devices supported)
If you have the 1GB version, your device is on the supported list so you only have to install W10M (step 12 and 13) and then follow the 10 steps to delpoy an APK to your device.
@IPRJ25 your welcome.

That's indeed interesting, it's not sure yet but I suppose when they have polished the Android subsystem that there is chance that 512MB RAM devices will be supported.

5. Go to the app store on your phone and search for "Preview for Developers" and install this app, move it to the SD Card with storage sense (settings < system < storage < phone < apps & games) select press the app and tap "Move to SD Card".

You can try restarting the device this will refresh Astoria and if this does not work, you simply can't run the APK.
The project is still in beta so it takes a while to polish all the bugs out and many APK's won't run and others will run perfectly.

Thanks for the post I'm wondering if this hard work (downgrading to 8.1, registry changes, again updating to 10 etc) really worth, most of apps are not working or working to some extent but missing some important functionality. Its good for learning purpose anyway.

In some countries the project is not supported, I guess this has something to do with both devices because they are on the support list and they should work without doing any registry edits.

How to Install MTK drivers in Windows 8 / 8.1 / 10
what we need:
MTK Vcom Preloader Driver 2.0
Download : https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24438995911977169
First thing we need is to Disable the Signed Driver verification on Windows :
To disable driver signature verification, we’re going to need to get into the Troubleshooting options from the boot manager.
The easiest way to bring this screen up is using this secret trick.
Hold down the SHIFT key while you click Restart.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Once your computer has rebooted you will be able to choose the Troubleshoot option.
Then head into Advanced options.
Then Startup Settings.
Since we are modifying boot time configuration settings, you will need to restart your Computer one last time.
After restarting your computer a second time,
choose Disable driver signature enforcement from the list by typing the number 7 on your keyboard.
That’s all there is to it. Your PC will then reboot and you will be able to install unsigned drivers.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Now its Time to open SP_Driver_v2.0.zip and start the DriverInstall.exe
it will open the install prompt . Press okay and dont change the installation path
Code:
C: // program files / Mediatek / Driver Package
during the installation it will start the verification window security.
Click on Install this driver software anyway
There will be an Error Message . - We Ignore it !
-Now Open your Device Manager and leave it open.
-Power Off your Phone and connect it with your Pc.
-you will see Under ports ( COM & LPT ) a Preloader unknown device
right click on there and click on Driver update/installation.
-Choose manually search for drivers
-Browse to C:// program files / Mediatek / Driver Package and apply.
-If all went good you have successfully installed the MTK Vcom Drivers. :good:

How to Use Flashtools
i use SP_Flash_Tool_Windows_v5.1520.00.000 and never had a problem with it.
Its for most all MTK Phones and for all Elephone Devices
Download Link: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24438995911977217
- Extract the Flashtool zip folder to your Desktop

How to Install Custom Roms
You don't need to root your phone to use Custom Roms like
Eragon Rom
or
Nexus Rom
because within installation it will get root with SuperSU
P.s: if you run into a problem e.g Bootloop . (newest Rom dont work well with our Custom Roms , related to its Partition.Img)
You could Flash the Stock ROM 02150725 to solve it
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Place the Rom.Zip into your Internal or External Sdcard
2. If you are on Stock Rom just Flash a Custom Recovery
Best Recovery without any bug is Philz v2 but you can also use Twrp Recovery
3. Hold Vol+ and Power simultaneously
you will get into the Bootloader Menu
4. Navigate with Vol+ to Recovery and apply with Vol-
5. In Recovery perform a Fullwipe , wipe System , Data , Cache , Dalvik
(In Philz Recovery wipe "clean to install a new rom"
In TWRP Recovery Wipe /advanced Wipe /wipe System,Data,Cache, dalvik)
6. Install the Rom.Zip located in your Sdcard
7. Reboot

Windows 10 MTK VCOM USB Drivers for 32 & 64 bit + Driver install tutorial
To determine the version of Windows 10 that you have (32 bit or 64 bit):
- Right-click on Start then click on System
- In the System window that opens, in System section, you will find your version of Windows next to System type
To disable Windows 10 64 bit driver signature enforcement:
- On your 64 bit Windows 10 desktop click on Start then on Settings
- Click on Update & security then in the left pane click on Recovery
- Under Advanced startup click on Restart now button
- Click on Troubleshoot then on Advanced options
- Click on Startup Settings then on Restart button
- The computer will restart with the Startup Settings screen
- To disable the driver signature enforcement until next restart press on number key 7 or F7 on your keyboard.
- After restart you can proceed with the unsigned MTK drivers installation for your 64 bit Windows
- After you install the unsigned drivers, to use them again in the future, you have to repeat this procedure
To install the MTK VCOM USB Drivers on 32 & 64 bit Windows 10:
- Download the drivers *.zip archive and extract the folder from inside on to the desktop:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24269982087012126
Right-click on Start then click on Device Manager
In the Device Manager Window click on the first item – your computer name
Click on Action then Add legacy hardware
On the Welcome to the Add hardware Wizard window click on Next button
Select Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced) and then click on Next button
Click on Show All Devices then on Next button
In the Add Hardware window click on Have Disk… button
In the Install From Disk windows click on Browse… button
In the next window – Locate file – browse for the folder that you have extracted on the desktop at the beginning
Select the version of the driver according to your Windows 10 version – x64 for 64 bit and x86 for 32 bit and click Open button
Click the OK button to load the driver
From the list of drivers select MTK USB Port and click on Next button
If a red warning window will open, click on Install this driver software anyway
This action will add the following drivers in to the operating system:
- MediaTek DA USB VCOM Port
- MediaTek PreLoader USB VCOM Port – for transferring the firmware to your device
- MTK USB DEBUG Port
- MTK USB Modem Port
- MTK USB port – for transfering PreLoader to your device (and recovery in case of bad or corrupt firmware)
Now we need to remove the device that we have installed but leave the drivers in the operating system.
To do that, in the Device Manager window we expand Ports (COM & LPT) section
Right-click and click Uninstall on the MTK USB Port
- In the Confirm Device Uninstall window make sure that the box Delete the driver software for this device is empty
- You need to leave the drivers in the operating system and only remove the device that you added
- Click on the OK button to finalise
Now, when you will connect your turned off MTK device to the Windows 10 computer by USB, the device will be recognized either trough a MediaTek Preloader USB VCOM Port interface or as a MTK USB port if it is bricked or it has bad/corrupt firmware. The SP Flash Tool will be able to transfer the firmware to your device trough this interfaces. Make sure you connect the device after you press the Download button in SP Flash Tool, as the communication interface will only be alive for 2 seconds if no data is being sent.
Download SP Flash Tool v3 & v5 – Latest versions:

Lost IMEI Restore
A common problem many face in their phone is loss of IMEI no. This is results in no network detection by your phone. U can come to know you have lost your IMEI by checking Settings->About phone->Phone information. There under IMEI section you won’t be finding your mobile IMEI numbers displayed.
Don’t worry you can restore your IMEI’s. Just follow this guide and you will be able to restore your IMEI. I will split the tutorial into two parts.
BACKING IMEI :
-First step before performing all these things is that your phone should be rooted.
When your phone is in normal state with everything functioning install Root explorer and navigate to the below location
Code:
>ROOT>DATA>NVRAM>MD>NVRAM>NVD_IMEI>MP0B_001
-Now copy this MP0b_001 file to your SD card or PC whichever place you feel the file we be safer.
-Now download MTK Droid tools .
-Now extract the zip file and open the MTK droid tools exe file.
-Now in your phone turn on USB Debugging by going to Settings->About phone-> Developer options and there turn on USB debugging.
-Now connect your phone and MTK droid tools should be able to detect your phone. U should see a window like this appearing after your
phone has been detected.
-Now press the ROOT button present in lower right corner. When it asks Supersu grant in your mobile click allow. After MTK droid gets
access u should see a green colour box appearing in the lower left corner which means u have correctly granted access to MTK droid.
-Now click on the IMEI/Nvram tab. A window should open and click backup NVRAM and MTK droid tools would take a backup of NVram in
its folder.
RESTORING IMEI :
-Now when you lose IMEI first try this method. Now take the MPDB_001 file which you took backup at the first step and navigate through
Root explorer to this location ->ROOT->DATA->NVRAM->MD->NVRAM->NVD_IMEI.
-Now paste that file and replace the one present there. Set the permissions for that file as RWER-ER-E. Now reboot your phone and you
should be able to get your IMEI back.
If you still haven’t got IMEI open MTK droid tools and connect your phone and press ROOT again and give MTK droid tools root access.
-Now click on IMEI/Nvram tab and select Restore option and restore the NVram backup which you took earlier. Now reboot your phone and
you should be able to get your IMEI.
Extreme method :
-After performing all the above if you haven’t still got IMEI. Now switch off your phone and open SP Tools and connect your phone.
Click on format and format your whole phone. ( This wipes whole of the phone including NVram region ).
-Now flash stock ROM through SP Tools and after it completes start up your phone. ( Don’t be surprised. Your IMEI will still be in lost state
only ). Now root your phone.
-After successful rooting now connect your phone to MTK Droid tools and again press ROOT button and grant root access to MTK Droid
tools. Now click on IMEI/NVram tab.
-Now as you see in the image above you can see two boxes IMEI1 and IMEI 2. Now enter your device IMEI numbers manually in those two
boxes.( You can get your IMEI no’s from your phone box ). Now click replace IMEI. Now reboot your phone and you should be definitely able
to get your IMEI restored.

Thanks for this great work.
And for all the Linux Users out there. SPFlashtool also work perfekt with x86-64 Linux distros.
The most anoying point and greatest drawback is, that with newer Ubuntu based distros like Mint, since 14.04, the builtin modem-manager don't like Mediatek, so you have to blacklist Mediatek in the udev rules.
How this will done, is written in that great tutorial by Miss Montage.

Please note neither the name of the IMEI file nor its position seem to be constant, but may vary from one Stock ROM version to another.
In my case (Stock Rom version 20151203) it took me some time to find a file named "MP0B_001" within the following location:
/nvdata/md/NVRAM/NVD_IMEI
Maybe the easiest way to find the IMEI file is to search for the keyword "NVD_IMEI" within some root file manager as this does not seem to change.

you want to restore your imei?
do this: it just takes a minute
You can solve your imei problem with this "MTK Engineering Mode" from playstore.
You open the app and go to: MTK Settings, Connectivity, CDS Information, Radio Information, Phone 1.
Here you have at the top "AT+". here you complete to >>AT+EGMR=1,7,"123456789012345"<<, of course with your imei, which ist standing on the akku-cover.
Then, very important: You have to put in a space after "AT+", so it looks like >>AT+ EGMR=1,7,"123456789012345"<<
Click "SEND AT COMMAND". Thats it.

Google PlayStore "Waiting for Wifi" FIX (ROOT Required)

From March2017, Mi Max (and other Phones Running Stable Rom Miui8.2 on Android 7) + (Developer ROM 7.3x) (Global or China) when received latest update of Google Play Store; results in WAITING for WIFI sign whenever you install or update any app.
This error appears even when you are connected to wifi.
so basically playstore become null.
Requirement
1. Rooted Xiomi Phone (MI MAX hydrogen / helium) ( Redmi XX)
2. Running on Developer/Stable Rom Android N
Fix
from https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-grand-2/general/trick-stop-play-store-self-update-t3495485
1. Create Two Text file on your desktop pc and remove .txt extension
---- "com.google.android.gms-1" and "com.android.vending-1" (without Quotes)
2. install root xplorer or any Root file browser app in your Mi Phone ( you may use APKPURE )
3. connect your device in mtp mode and paste the create files in internal storage
4. put phone on airplane mode
5. uninstall updates for Google Playstore
6. open root browser
7. grant root browser SuperUser writes and copy those two files from your base internal storage and paste them in data/app folder.
8. if it asks overwrite, grant permission
this will keep PlayStore from getting selfupdated and you wont get error.
this is temporary fix until Miui Roms get actual fix
