Hey guys, i have a KYD HU and for some days now, it does not boot any more.
When i turn on the engine, the LEDs are flashing for a millisecond. Then darkness.
But the recovery-menu works. I can flash it with a new ROM and the power button
works too. When i chose "restart" same again, flashing led, then nothing happens.
Any ideas?
press the reset button.

Hi,
I am a noob to Android have been WM for many years. Anyway I tried to flash a new radio to my T-Mobile Hero, now its stuck on a picture of a box with a arrow pointing towards a phone. Its been like this for one hour now. I tried flashing using fastboot recovery from the sd card. I thought I had rooted the Hero but am not sure if it completed correctly. What can I do to get it powering up again?
When I press the power and back button just that picture appears for ten seconds and then the handset seems to turn off. No lights, nothing I have to remove the battery and then when I press anything the same picture appears.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Hi,
try to get into recovery and reflash the radio
turn your phone off.
press Home+Power on and hold Home pressed.
Your phone should now go into recovery.
You should consider to install a more advanced recovery.
Here is a nice one.

Looking for some creative answer here. This is my backup phone right now, but I'm trying to get it flashed back to stock. Here's the thing, I don't have a power button. Last year, I came across the issue of the phone turning on and off constantly, after a lot of research, it was determined to be caused by a faulty power button, so I took it off. To power my phone on, I take out the battery, put it back in, plug in a USB cable while pressing Vol Down and Home, and then select the boot normally.
Now, after trying to flash stock with ODIN, i'm stuck on the Samsung logo on bootup. After a bit of looking around, it seems the common resolution is to wipe cache factory reset in recovery. Unfortunately, while I can get into recovery and arrow down to the option, I can't select it due to the lack of power button.
So, is there any way with adb or fastboot that I can do the factory reset or whatever? Or is there any other options?
Maybe flash twrp and use that to wipe.
I loaded a ROM and now the unit cannot get past the ANDROID logo at start up...
So I attempted to load the factory ROM, but the unit won't now go into recovery mode, it just has a black screen...
Please help me!

While at the Android logo, did you push the reset button and waited for the system to correct itself? This will
happen when you load a fuse-prom the first time.
I have tried both the "RST" button push at the Android logo, and the smaller button that is not labelled. How long do you think it should take? Neither button seems to return the HU to normal, it just sits there at boot logo.
The recovery mode no longer works either, so it appears I am totally stuck!
Thank you for your help so far. Will go and try it again.
OK. Just tried a quick push of the reset button and it did nothing. Retried with a long push and it turned off the screen but nothing else happened. A push of the "RST" button just cycles the unit and it sits at the boot logo again.
Press reset button and power button together
After about 5 secs release reset button, but keep pressing power button
When booting screen appears release power button.
It boots into recovery.

Marius, thanks for the reply. My unit has no hard buttons, so this method won't work for me. I already got the unit into recovery mode ot apply the ROM, but after the unit rebooted the recovery screen is no longer working, it is just black with a few vertical bars displayed top left...
It is truly annoying.

Hi,
after running a rooted Kitkat for a year or so I thought I wanted to install CM12.1. So I wiped and flashed via CWM Recovery and also flashed some GApps (probably the wrong one). After flashing (with confirmation that everything was successful), I wanted to reboot but after clicking on reboot, the screen just went black. Waiting for 5 mins, nothing changed.
Pushing the Power-On button lets the phone vibrate once, that's it. Pushing Vol+ or Vol- together with Power-On does not change anything. Connecting a charger to the phone, let the red LED flash once.
What can I do to revive my phone....?
Suggestions or hints are greatly appreciated

Try holding power and volume up together for 8-10 seconds, just to make Sir it's totally powered off, then connect the charger and see if it starts charging. Older batteries don't do well in this phone. It wseems to me you might have had the sudden-battety-drain phenomenon when you flashed.

Thanks, that seemed to have work. I am now a happy user of CM12.1 on my Xperia Z1 Compact
Hello, I tried to install a custom MCU with sound patch and now the unit hardly boots. I got it to boot but it shutted off and I wasn’t able to flash the original MCU. I’ve been trying to get into recovery by holding down the power button until the key backlight flashes three times still holding it for three seconds and then letting go and pressing again.I tried with ADB but still no success. It is a PX30 MTCE LM.
I am sorry I posted this in the wrong place.
