Hi, I would like to know how I can completely remove shortcuts in the notification bar Fire OS 4.6.6, I tried to remove SystemUI.apk editing the file, but only managed to remove the icons, leaving the titles and the space they occupied
If someone could help me would be greatly appreciated

Hello there,
since i'm using a Custom-ROM on my HTC HD2 and use the phone in order with no SIM-card, there is always this "NO-SIM-CARD" icon in the status-/notification bar.
I almost tried modifying the services.jar file to make the "NO-SIM-CARD" icon disappear. I managed to disable the showing of the clock, battery and the phone-signal so far. But i can't get the "NO-SIM-CARD" icon to disappear.
Does anybody know how to do it? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Sincerely, nitrate.

Read up on themeing, you should be able to swap out the icon for just a transparent png; Guide to Themeing
Hi,
im trying to hide some of the system icons in the notification bar.
I would like to hide the alarm, vibrate and signal icons because they are always displayed and dont provide useful information for me
I replaced the png files of this icons in the SystemUI.apk file with empty (transparent) png images.
This works, but this still leaves gaps where the icons were, like between the clock and the battery.
Is it possible to change the order (like putting the transparent icons to the left), change the size (hiding them by setting the size to 0px) or to hide them completly?
I followed this tutorial to display some of the xml files in the SystemUI.apk but i did not find anything that looks like it changes certain system icons.
Im using Virtuous Affinity 2.05 (Android 2.3.5, Sense 3.5).
i would like to remove hide the bluetooth and location (on VZW) icons from the status bar. I know you can delete the images, but i want to remove them in the code. i can decompile/edit smali fine i just need help locating them in the code.
all these talented devs/themers and not one reply?
Hi,
I want to center my clock in the middle of the bar, but I'd like to remove AM/PM first; e.g. if it's 9:50PM it would only write 9:50, not 21:50.
Any ideas?
Thanks
I've been reading up on the subject it seems I have to edit SystemUI.apk by "decompiling" and "recompiling" it afterwards. Can anybody explain how I would go about doing that? I am suspecting there is some sort of APK manager I need to use over adb or not?
Isn't anyone annoyed at how big the status icons at on the notification bar? It takes up so much space compared to stock android. Is there a way to change this? My device is not rooted. If I need to root to change, how can I do it?
