Hi friends, I have Sony Xperia T3 and it is on contract for 2 years. My sim is locked and I want to unlock sim. Before unlock I want to backup original software that I don't lose waranty if they need service.
So, Can anyone tell me how to make this, save original software on pc from phone and unlock sim.

Sometimes ago, with my Xperia x10 witch was locked the same way, I did just root it, install a custom ROM (Wolfbreak, CM6) and it was automatically unlocked...
Why can't do the same thing with Arc?
(It is already rooted with generic 3.0.A..2.181, but unfortunately remain locked!)
SIM/network locking is completely independent and separate from any firmware. It is also once and permanent, unaffected by any future updates or flashing.
I don't know what you did to the X10, but flashing a firmware doesn't unlock it. You must purchase an unlock code.
In Canada, it's ~$5 USD but that varies depending on carrier and location.
I recently bought Xperia Arc S but it is sim lock to my service provider in Bulgaria. Can I unlock it for free or I have to pay on omnius server. And also I want to unlock bootloader but in service menu it is writen BOOTLOADER UNLOCK ALLOWED NO.
I'm fairly certain that yes, you have to pay to get Sim-Unlocked. I'm not all too savvy yet on technical phone stuff, but I'm fairly certain that you'll be stuck with a locke bootloader.

I recently came into possession of a sony xperia lt15i which is currently on Virgin (UK) and I would like to unlock the device. Its currently charging so I cant advise the OS.

You can unlock the Bootloader by one of three ways and Sim unlock by one, which is to pay for it.

Mine was locked to Virgin UK, I unlocked via the test point method. Below is a quick guide I made in a previous post:

This method does unlock the Boot loader though, not sure if you want to do that yet.....

i have a Xperia S LT26i here wich is Sim Locked to T-Mobile Austria. Is there any way to unlock this SimLock. I have an Locked Bootloader wich is making a lot of trouble.
Can somybody help me maybe with this problem. My Phone is actually rooted, but still SimLocked.
And it would be also fine if there is any free version to do this. I dont want to spend money for an 2 yrs old phone, i just want it unlocked for my father so he can use it now.

How can i remove the simlock of my Xperia ARC S LT18s? i dont know wich provider it originally came from... This phone is from 2011, normally you can unlock you phone for free after a year. Someone have some advise for me?? When i put my sim in this phone it says it is simlocked.
