Is there any development for a custom kernel for the Canadian LG G4 H812. I know there is no custom recovery at the moment but there is flashfire. I was wondering if someone could create a custom kernel to allow overclocking. My G3 is almost as fast as my g4 when overclocked .

LG Optimus Me P350 is a mid range Android device and also affordable. I own an LG Optimus Me and a few hours back I had to install Custom Recovery on LG Optimus Me P350. I would like to share the same with you. The custom recovery for LG Optimus Me P350 is based on AmonRA-GNM 2.2.1 but I used the same for 2.2.2 and it worked fine. Before you proceed with the steps to flash custom Recovery on LG Optimus Me, make sure you check out my guide on how to root LG Optimus Me P350. The guide has two methods, the first one works when you have not updated the firmware and the second one is for the updated phones.
Please note that custom recovery on an Android phone lets you install custom ROMs and you can also install customized linux kernel. Also, you need to root your phone before you proceed.
I have an offer through Kijiji to buy the Rogers LG G3 (D852). I am currently an owner of a Nexus 5. A lot of things about the G3 are very tempting for me especially in regards to camera and screen size with small bezels. However I also like trying out what third party development has to offer. After going through these forums most of what I see is simply for D855 and D850. So, a couple of questions:
1. Rooting and "unlocking" bootloader: Is Purpledrake compatible with the d852 and can the d852 be "bumped" to have TWRP?
2. Lollipop: I'm aware that LG G3 now has Lollipop but are any builds compatible with the d852?
3. "Stock Android": By this I mean "not LG's skin", is there any way to get stock android or anything similar (CM12/PA/etc.) onto the the LG G3? I plan to use LG's firmware for the most part but the option to load an AOSP rom would be nice.
4. Backwards compatibility with AT&T model: Would ROMs that are available for the D850 work with the D852 since both are similar hardware?
5. Debloating: After rooting, can the phone be debloated to increase performance? I'm assuming LG has added a fair share of bloated software onto the stock ROM.
I really want to own this phone (the Nexus 5 just has HORRENDOUS battery life and camera for me) but the only thing pushing me away is the lack of development, if these questions can be answered and I can at least be provided with some hope for the future I will definitely consider buying the G3, thank you for any help in advance!
1. You can root it with Stump root
2. At the moment no.
3. There is CM12 but for D855. Carbon and Mahdi are also for D855. For D852 there is no AOSP rom.
4. No, it is not compatible.
5. Of course it can.
My D852 is rooted with Purpledrake and also BUMPED with TWRP recovery.
In the General section, read the Canadian Users thread and there are some converted D855 ROMS for D852.
ROMS are slowly but surely gaining traction. [I think there's a bit of a pause now as devs have moved from KK roms and now working on Lollipop ROMS]
I know this phone just got root, but I was wondering if any dev that currently works with the LG G3 would work with the LG G3 Vigor. If no one is interested then what do I need to do to cook a ROM?
I know this forum is not specifically for tmobile lg g4
Can i flash any lg g4 811 rom to my tmobile lg g4 811 20v marshmallow phone?
Does the custom rom have to be 20v? Can it be nougat?
I'm not completely certain, but as far as I know can any H811 rom be flashed on any H811 device. Even nougat roms. I'll say it again just in case: I am not sure, I have 0 experience with non-h815 devices

yes you can. if its says stock based means its stock with some goodies if its says LAOS lienage OS or AOSP this are not stock and not from LG itself.
so we only have stock MM rom. if you want nougatyou need aosp or lineage.
have in mind that picture quality is not the same on aosp or lineage roms.
as for 0-p-q-r -v. yes you can .. but best its to stay uptodate.. but if you go with O then i think some kernels had sound problems rom and kernele had to be on same version.
Thank you sir for your reply.
Now if you could recommend a a great rom for battery life and dark theme
Not really a fan of stock rom.... if were talking about lgs icons layout etc...
Would loose picture quality to get rid of this lg theme for better battery and dark ui
I am rooted and have twrp just have not flashed custom rom yet
I have a LG G4 Dual-Sim H818. What custom rom Works for him? H811 And 815 are compatible? i dont care if i need to lost dual sim support if i change rom, i only use 1 sim

U can't unlock H818. So it is impossible to flash a custom room.
U can try the SATAN OS rom righthere.
