[Q] ZWPro constantly crashing when attempting to change font ! Need advice/solution. - Zooper Widget General

Anyone else have this issue or have had this issue ??? I've experienced a similar problem with trying to select other iconsets and I solved it by removing some, then some more, finally stabilized.
I tried to do the same with font but no dice. I have a very large collection of fonts, iconsets and templates but this problem with font fc'ing the app is very irritating as you might imagine.
I'd appreciate any advice or solution before I go crazy ! BTW, I'm quite familiar with ZWPro, been using it for couple years now. I couldn't find similar issue by Google search or XDA thread search either.
I have tried removing all folders, uninstalling ZWP, then reinstall letting it freshly populate internal memory space. Also tried to clear app data, etc

chompSMS Force close on font search

I have downloaded a few font packs from the market, the majority being from either handcent or betterdroid. My understanding is that these font packs are compatible with chompsms. When I tell chomp to search for font packs it starts searching packages, finds a couple along the way, gets to a package called 'dialer storage' where it then hangs and force closes. Any ideas?
From what I have been able to garner from my google-fu dialer storage is storage for mms, but im not sure about that, and I cant find any issues similar to this on chomp's forums or here.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
edit: mods if this should be in themes and apps instead of Q&A please move it, kthx
Bumping for noobness, of which I have lots.
anyone? thoughts? opinions? Im retarded for not being able to figure this out myself?
bumping, any help would be appreciated, still havent been able to find any solution to this myself

[Q] Facebook photo upload not working

Uploading photos to facebook does not work for me.
The behavior is the same both when selecting photo upload from the facebook app, or when chosing to share to facebook from the gallery.
The upload progress in statusbar looks good and finishes, but then an error message is displayed in the statusbar that the transfer failed.
When initiating the upload from facebook a "popup" mesage that the photo could not be added is also displayed.
I tried wipe facebook cache and data and reinstall the app but that didn't solve anything.
I'm on AOKP build25 & franco kernel 18.6.
Anyone else with the same problem?
/Fredrik

Ok, so at least I'm not alone....
Good to know that the problem exist also on stock. I wasn't sure if I ever tested it before I flashed a custom rom.

Did you try clearing the app's cache? Logging back in and trying to upload a pic again?
Yes, I wiped cache and data and even reinstalled the app.

Facebook's app is the worst written in Android history. It isn't your fault- they just can't write an update without breaking something. It's a known issue.
Possible solution
It's maybe a little late to offer a solution, but today I finally found out what could be the problem:
I normally share my pictures with "All friends, except ... " (please excuse wrong translation; don't know how it's called in English) and all my picture uploads failed without exception. Today I wanted to share a picture with "All" my friends and... it work perfectly! I tried some more and it seems my problems are gone.
So my possible solution:
-> You have to share with "all", not with some groups or with excluded people. The Facebook App and mobile site is too stupid to work with its own lists.
When creating a new post, just tap the little gear in the lower right corner and select share with "all". It's no solution for pics you don't want to show everyone of course, but it's the only workaround that allows you to upload at all.
After trying a couple things, such as clearing the app data/cache, reinstalling the app from the market, etc. I suspect that this is related more to the APN settings on the phone. I tested this by switching the APN on my AT&T Galaxy Nexus from the Tweakker APN settings (failed to upload pics/videos) to the original CINGULAR 410 (works like a charm, although it takes forever to upload). For reference, the Tweakker settings had the APN as "phone".
Hope this helps.

So, did you read my post above? I'm almost sure it makes all the difference. Tested this with a couple of friends and it works for everyone.

it is enough to only have one list of selfmade friend list. U do not have to share to "all" but u can make list of friends that can see your pictures, call it for example "see mypic friends" and only have that in the . But if u share it to: "see mypic friends" and "mom and dad" at the same it fails

[Q] 4.1.1 HTC One X Share Menu Missing Apps

Hi All,
I have upgraded my HTC One X to 4.1.1 (HTC pushed down update, stock ROM, not rooted) and since doing that the "share" option available in most apps is very light on with the apps that I can share links/videos/etc with.
The two I use the most aren't there - messages (sending SMS) and gmail.
When I first upgraded the only for options were AndSMB, AndFTP, Bluetooth, and Download Manager HD.
Since then I have factory reset the phone, including formatting the storage, I installed the bare minimum of apps I use everyday and tried it again. Whilst the situation has improved slightly, in Youtube when I share a video I now only get: Bluetooth, Drive, Dropbox and Facebook.
Does anyone know how I can add the system apps back to this list, such as gmail and messages?
Thanks for any help you can provide.
Jason
$2 Fixed it!
Well after some more googling I found about an app called AndShare with fixed the problem. I didn't bother with the free version, I just went straight to the Pro and it worked an abosolute treat.
This is not spam - I just thought i'd update the thread for anyone else who discovers this same problem in future.

HTC One M8 Gallery Issues

Hi, if anyone can help with my issue id really appreciate it.
ITS DRIVING ME NUTS
I believe this issue not to be specific to the HTC One but Ive never had it before.
The issue is that I keep getting random photo albums appearing in my gallery.
The photos look to be cached images, say from apps and that sort of things.
Everytime i go in and delete them and check back later, I have more.
Ive searched Google and cant find a solution.

That would drive me nuts... My gallery just crashes all the time after rooting and applying one of the roms
I had this problem too. Only way I could solve it was to press menu button at the gallery home screen and select show/hide albums. Select the ones you want to display and return to gallery.

Install quickpic from the play store and "hide" the folders with the offending images in.
They are usually from apps that have images in them.,
Once hidden in quickpic they will not appear in gallery
Just hide the album like duvall87 mentioned.
That's the only way.

Same here
I have the same issue this Cache folder keeps coming back and most frustrating part is that all these photos are uploaded to G+.
I have another issue as well with SD card. I delete files from External SD card and it keeps coming back this happens only when I copy some files from my PC to SD Card.
Anyone has any solution to this?

I just delete them every time but maybe this helps
settings---account/synchronise---google---( click your gmail account)---
when in your google account it says in syncs data from
-agenda
-apps
-automatic back-up
-chrome
-contacts-
-drive
-gmail
-google...
-...
-....
experiment with unchecking some of these like uncheck the syncs app data of chrome
If fixed it with installing ES file explorer and added .nomedia file to android/data/
Rebooted device and everything seems to work like it should...
No cache files in gallery
hopefully a fix

[Q] [WatchMaker] messed up thumbnails of imported faces.

Hi there guy
I bought the WatchMaker to load some nice faces of found at badapp.fr
My problem is, that no matter how I import them to the app, my thumbs are all messed up. Some appear double with different names, some no matter
how many times I import and delete and re-import, use thumb from another watch face.
I tried clearing the app's data, re-installing, restarting device, with no luck.
Anyone face such problem before ?
thanks for any suggestions
regards
Seba
I have the same problem.
Me too!

I found a little lame work around that issue, but at least I finally managed to get the faces and names right.
I open the Face and duplicate it. It will automatically name it with suffix _COPY. I did it to every face. Then I delete the
original ones and once done with all, I renamed all the COPY back to their initial names. Now they all work well.
Cheers
Seba
