CID for the "regular" (non-Harmon Kardon) Sprint version is SPCS_001
Harmon Kardon version CID is SPCS_004

When converting they changed CID as well. As you are S-Off you could change CID to one that pleases you and install the corresponding e.g. TWRP backup an firmware. After that you still could reflash custom recovery to be abled to obtain root again.

Based on the above info, I think its one of the following:
4.20.771.2
4.25.771.6
Reason I can say that, is that radio numbers 1.25xxx correspond to version numbers 4.xx. But 4.20 or 4.25, I don't think its possible to determine with the info you have available.
If you are trying to restore to stock using nandroid in order to OTA, it may or may not matter which of the above you restore. My suggestion would be to try one ; and if it doesn't work (OTA fails), try the other.
I'm looking to update my HTC One M8 to the latest firmware. I understand the safest way to do this is though a stock rom and run through prompted updates?
Can anyone point me in the right direction, given the details of my phone below:
Also not sure what bootloader / custom ROM I should flash after update if anyone has any suggestions for a nice speedy rom. Doesn't need to be sense.
Thanks in advance

Just an update. I've managed to get back to stock using a thread on these forums. This is what I'm on now:
I've updated so far with updates through Settings > About > Software Update and it no longer finds anymore updates. It says my phone is upto date? I'm pretty sure it's not

Your main point is to have the latest Marshmallow firmware.
As your device is S-Off, change the CID ORANG001 to SuperCID 11111111
then you can install any Marshmallow firmware for MID 0P6B10000
If you want to stick to CID ORANG001, the only firmware that you can install is 6.12.61.4
Install firmware ... install latest TWRP then you can install any custom ROM that you like.
You don't really need to return to stock and do update ... if not then what's the point that you have S-Off device.
Hi i need the correct firmware for my htc but i didnt find it nowhere on internet
