Hello, is there an option to prevent apps from continuing after restart? I have a app that is crashing because of a not mounted usb device. I always have to close it before turning the keys.
If you don't need it, can't you simply uninstall or disable that app in app settings?
thank you for your reply but the problem is not the app itself. Its the behaviour when you shutdown the radio with running apps like my DABmonkey app and the AvIn app, at the next restart they start automatically. The Dabmonkey app needs a connection to a usb device (Monkeyboard) but the monkeyboard is not already mounted bevor the system starts the app automatically. So the app crashes because of no usb connection. I I hope this description is comprehensible.
Ok, so you actually need and use that app.
It's not very easy to solve the problem, as the HU normally restarts all the apps it was running before shutting down, and I don't know of a way to exclude some of them from being reminded.
Maybe there is a possibility to automatically run some scripts at shutdown that kill the application... need the help of some Tasker expert...

Hello!
This is my first post at this forum, so be gentle
I know very little about phones and I had friends to help me unroot it and partition the SD card. I'm using this ROM - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1403113&
It works fine for a while, but then apps randomly force close and if I try to open some app it just force closes. If I try to report the issue the reporting program force closes as well. And after making a call it says android phone has stopped working. Sometimes I need to enter my SIM-card pin-code and it says the SIM-card has been removed and I need to reboot. Sometimes my screen wont go on when I press the power button (but the buttons light up as usual) and the only way to solve this is to remove the battery. I googled the force close issue and found that it might help changing the CPU-governor to something else than Smartass V2 so I tried that but it didn't get any better no matter which of them I chose.
So, what shall I do? Is there any better ROM that I don't know of and that I should be using instead? Have I forgotten something important?
I have AICP on my L710, but, lately it has ben acting strange. I use it with FreedomPop so I don't have a lot of data and am trying to set it do auto updates and the like over wifi. I have these settings set this way in Play and on the phone. I'm also noticing that the phone is sometimes stopping on its own and rebooting. Somethings it goes through a long animation and is doing a lot of updates, other times reboots, but, I don't see it updating any apps. It seems to often happen when I'm in my car (not connected to a mobile network) while a USB cable is attached for power. I just want to listen to music that is stored in my phone and I wind up having it stop and reboot.
I have also noticed that the phone is using up my very limited mobile data in just a few days. I see it is the OS that is what is using all this data.
I know this month a few days ago at the beginning of the cycle I had it set to restrict background data, play was set for only update over wifi, etc. I also installed a better data usage monitor. Today I got a warning that I had used over half my allotment of data. While looking things over, I found that restrict background data for mobile network was no longer checked. I'm guessing this got reset back to non-restrict after an update that I didn't initiate.
So I have a few questions:
What triggers the auto update to reboot on it's own? I imagine the files and what not are downloaded when on wifi as they should, but, the actual reboot to initiate the installation seems to be happening on its own. Is there some setting to ask if I want to update now I could switch on to have some control over this?
It seems like this auto rebooting seems so be happening with a USB cable plugged in. I was wondering if maybe the connector is getting bad or something mechanical is causing a short or long an causing this. I can sort of understand something like that causing it to shut down, but, it doesn't seem like it would reboot automatically.
Finally, is there some way I can set it specify restrict network data on every bootup. I have looked at boot manager, but, this only allows me to specify what apps start. Is there an app that includes system settings that I could install? This seems like it would just being doing the same thing that changing the setting on the OS restrict background setting checkbox. It seems like it should be persistent.
Or maybe there is a bug in the ROM, that is overwriting this setting when it does an update?
Anyone have any ideas on what might be going on, what I can check and do to fix this?
TIA
I'm having permission issues with root on marshmallow. Permissions are fine until I root. After root I can not use new apps that need permissions for contacts, storage, or gallery. The apps given permission before root work until I plug in USB storage then it blows out anything needing permission for storage including stock system apps such as gallery and file explorer. It says screen over lay detected turn this off in app settings but turning then off or on doesn't work. Has anyone figured out how to fix?
You need to turn off permission to overlay the screen on apps that overlay the screen, such as Lux, LMT, cf lumen, etc. prior to attempting to changing permissions on contacts, gallery, etc. Then turn the overlay permissions back on
This is a security measure to prevent what I think is called tapjacking where you can be fooled into tapping something you didn't want to.

Agreed. I've also noticed sideload applications won't install if Lux is enabled.
I didn't try the overlay disable but unchecking the enable in Lux did the trick.
If anyone has a functional Sleep List for Lux that works to avoid all these issues, please share. It seemed to work the first time sideloading an app but now it doesn't work anymore. I've had to resort to disabling Lux to sideload.

I'm clueless on how to turn those off. It says overlay detected and does to app defaults but no amount of turning them off or on fixes the problem. You may be right about the tapjacking because it happens when I have changed our added nothing. It has happened since the last time I restored. The only thing I have done different is not ran greenify.

I've had my 7T for about a week now. Its such a dang good phone. I love it. But I've one issue I'm looking for help with.
Apps that I expect to do things in the background don't work.
Example 1: Spottily is set to auto play when the bluetooth connects. On my Samsung as long as the app was in the background I didn't even have to unlock the phone. On the 7T I have to wake up the phone and bring the app into the foreground before it will start playing.
Example 2: I have an app that will let me download from instagram, it sits in the background and intercepts clip board links. Works great on my samsung but on this phone I have to switch to the app before it will do its thing.
Its as if its heavily throttling apps in the background and I've found now way to change that. Any advice?
edit: I have tried the following with no effect.
1. Tried locking the app in multitasking
2. Turning off battery optimization for the apps in questions

I have no such issues. Whatever app I want to keep running in the background is always running. I've had such an issue with my previous huawei phone, and the button mapper app. I don't experience any of those. I have a 7T HD1903 on OOS 10.0.8.
For some reason, all my Do not disturb schedules are either deleted randomly or after reboot. I resetted app preferences and prevented some apps from accessing DND, nothing solved. I took a risk clearing data of some system apps including settings related, nothing solved. Is there a way to reset DND without factory reset, what system app does it run DND?
My device is rooted. I don't know any of the app that could cause this issue
My phone is running Android 11 RPNS31.Q4U-39-27-9-2-9
I use Auto Do not disturb app instead. Works like a charm
