But just for 2nd gen moto 360s. We will wait more probably.
Motorola have stated on G+ that more will be announced 'in the coming weeks' for the Gen 1 Moto 360. Seems we have a while to wait.
The Gen 2 OTA is already rolling out. The release notes are here if interested:

I never checked. I grabbed my watch off the charger this morning, strapped it on and noticed a message of some sort. Was in a hurry so didn't bother checking out the notification. Once I was at work and had a few minutes I checked the forums and saw this thread and it reminded me to check my watch....and it was the "A system update has been downloaded, make sure you are at 80% charge......."
Mine is downloading, I've tested several times on menu/update with no success, only when I switched on the wifi it started to download
Just got mine.
I just connected it to WIFI but no luck when i go into setting and check for updates. I have a US MOTO 360 Gen 1

Yeah, I also have it charging too. I just found out something weird. You go into the watch setting and connect to the wifi. but once you exit and re-enter the wifi setting it shows it reconnects and automatically reconnects.
Is it automatically disconnecting when i exit or does it always do that and it stays connected to the WIFI but just shows that message.

You must turn off the bluetooth so the Moto 360 can establish a wifi connection.. That's why it disconnects when you leave settings.
Also if there is a wifi connection you can see a wifi symbol near battery %

Same here, I don't know the answer. Update still downloading two hours after, and it's about 70%, very slow. And I have to leave this wifi in 30 minutes (I'm at my job now), so maybe it finishes tonight at my home...
CLOSE THE BLUETOOTH.. there is no wifi connection if bluetooth is ON! It is slow because it downloads the update via bluetooth

Plugged in, Rogers on Lumia 900 here. Wouldn't detect update... Tried a bunch of times, no luck.
Then tried the old "disconnect trick" with Zune, ITS WORKING!!!! Already done 2 updates, hopefully 3rd is 7.8.
First Update (to):
7.10.8779.8
Second Update (to):
7.10.8783.12
Third Update (to):
7.10.8858.136
Instructions here: http://www.stephenwagner.com/?p=660 and will be posting details as I progress!
First impressions...
Nokia changed the touch screen acceleration... FML!!! They fixed this a while ago, why did they revert? UGH
I can confirm this works for AT&T Lumia 900's as well (or at least is in the process of working).
Update: Alright, I could only get it to install the first update... I'll keep trying.
Update 2: I was able to get the second update (which looks like 7.8 to me) to begin installing, by cycling the wireless off and on in 5-10 second intervals.
Version now shows 7.10.8858.136

This worked for me. I was about to give up. I was having trouble timing it. Might have to do with connection speed. I turned on airplane mode right before hitting update. Thank you!
So, after my first update I am at 7.10.8783.12
updating to 7.10.8858.136 now!
So now my L900 have transformed to a new refreshed look.

I have had to use the disconnect trick since nodo and it's always annoyed me because the timing is so messed up. I don't know if it was by coincidence or what but you two made it work on the first try. :victory:
dont work!
This trick has never failed me... once the update is verified for a carrier patience will win the day and an update before most others...
Persistence will be rewarded... also on Rogers in Tdot
trick isn't working for me and I don't have the patience to keep this **** up all night, guess I'm gonna sit here and wait annoyed until it pushes.
Just keep at it!! I've got an ATT 900 and only had to do the update trick twice. The first time I got it first try, second took me about 30 min of trying!! WELL WORTH IT!!
If I keep trying and failing I'm gonna get more agitated to the point where I begin breaking things(around 15 attempts)......if I sit here annoyed at least I'm calm about it.
The trick is that the internet disconnect has to happen at a certain key point during the update check. My phone took longer than usual to kill the wifi so, for me, turning on airplane mode first and then clicking update a few seconds later worked.
FOr whom trick didn't work watch this

Here is how to trick Zune. Worked for me! You have to do it 3 times to get all updates.
1 you'll get update done run trick again
2 update done run trick again
3 update and you are on WP7.8
Actually 3 time udpate should start automatically after second is done. Enjoy!

What Carrier? Possibly the update is not in the pipe for you yet. If you have heard of other's with your Carrier able to get the update then it's just the timing.
That's much easier, Thanks!
This one I had to repeat for each update but it was much easier, as noted from another user, I the wait was giving me issue, so they only change was in timing, after hitting airplane mode, I immediately clicked update.
I had to repeat it for each update, it completed each time telling me it was safe to unplug phone, I left it plugged in. One update was the Nokia update and it was small BUT TOOK A LONG TIME, i wonder if this one was replacing the bootloader as it stayed on waiting to reboot phone for a good while with the phone looking like it was off.
Those without the patience to wait, DONT DO IT, as if you unplug....BRICK! Patience is required.

Since Zune can jack tether from PC to phone, why cant we?
Seems highly possible if zune is able to Jack tether through the phone why cannot a small app be created to do the same to run on Win/Android/iOS/Chrome?

Hi All. I was wondering how many others have started getting the 5.0.2 update? (I was lazy and instead of taking screenshots... I just took some quick pics with my phone of the update info to post for anyone interested).
I received the update this evening and tried to find some information about the changes through an internet search. The update looks to be fairly minor and what I found says it should provide bug fixes and an update to Google Play services. Most of the info I've found discusses the update rolling out for the Moto 360, but I also found people who are reporting their LG G Watch R got the update too.
So far, the update is running smooth for me with no problems. I'm hoping it will continue to work well. I'm loving my Sony Smartwatch 3 and I'm glad to see that we got the update so quickly. :good: I just thought I'd check to see who else got the update and see how it's running for them.
Yes, I also got my update this morning, but am not sure what is new or updated...
Got it at Malaysia, about 3pm....
Waiting for the update...

Dumb question time. Does the watch get the update via bluetooth or do you connect it to your PC via usb.
I am in Australia and my watch says it is up to date on 5.0.1 so I guess it is on it's way downunder sooner or later.
I'm just gettinh this update.

I received the update wirelessly without plugging it in to the computer (I'm guessing by bluetooth). The watch just gave a notification to swipe left to install the update. I read on one website where the watch should be charged to at least 80%... but I don't know if it has to be charged that that much to get the update. Im guessing that like other OTA'S, the update is being released in phases, so it's hard to say exactly when each person will get the update.

No update showing on my watch here in Adelaide, that is weird.
It must have gotten blown in on the cyclone but typical Adelaide, backwards.
I haven't ether in U.S (florida)
Got the notification around 20 minutes ago here in Oregon, USA. It looks like the update was delivered "OTA" to the watch via BlueTooth in the background, as I did not have to sit there and watch a download progress meter. My first inclination that there was an update was when the watch gave me a notification saying "Update ready to be installed!". Of course I swiped left only to be told I need to charge up first
I've got my watch charging now, will install ASAP. Annoying that there is no official changelog or blog post explaining what is new / fixed, just speculation.

Not really that strange.. they send the updates out based on hardware batches... it has little to do with geographical locations..
for the record I haven't seen the update yet either, in Perth WA
I've got mine last night , here in italy, after messing up/ stressing my poor smartwatch 3 i reset the watch.. tried to install " new update " via Sony Pc companion.. than reset it again.. in the end the " poor " watch gave up and sent me " downloading update " ...
i didn't notice anything " new " so probably some fixes !

Wi-Fi Will be enabled when the Moto 360 gets the firmware update to Android Wear 5.1 which is rolling out over the next "few" weeks. the Android wear app on the phone has already been updated to support Wifi but the watch needs the firmware to enable the Wi-Fi chip that is currently disabled on the Moto 360
Problems after installing latest version of Android Wear
Since the new update my Moto360 doesn't Conntect to my S5 and the following message pop up "Google Play Services stopped" and "process com.google.process.gapps stopped". Not even a factory reset helped! It looks like there are still some bugs :-/
I manually installed the update and it constantly crashed as above. Lots of 'android wear has stopped'. I'll wait for official app push and see if it still occurs whilst awaiting the watch firmware update
Here is another update to M6E69B
https://android.googleapis.com/pack.../ea3f22cafa01264ded185bdec71b42821cec2c59.zip
I have no idea what it fixes / enhances / solves. I just got the update notice on my watch and grabbed it.
edit - I cannot see anything new other than the version. Sounds, watchfaces, installed apps, all the same. Let's hope the bugs are fixed, especially bluetooth drops.

Tell me about it!!!! I'm still on "June" update, since I got the watch in July. I've been waiting for the OTA and it never comes. Is there a trick? I go to about>check for updates and its always "up to date". I have my "wifi" going to sleep after 3hrs. The thing always on the puck/charger overnight at 100% battery. But these OTA never happen. Looks like I've already missed the "July" update, and will probably have to get that before the "august" update....

No where has I seen that Huawei does monthly updates on any device. This was a patch for bluetooth, wifi, and security from comments I have found and searching. Older versions never even mentioned the security patch data. I do see better BT range and few BT dropouts, battery is the same. I don't do calls on the watch but use my BT headset for that.

I think I may have found the issue. My Google play services looks to be way out of date. I've updated it on my phone, but it doesn't transfer to my watch? I tried updating it from the watch directly

Definitely old version. Other than the recync apps in the AW phone app or just an complete install, I have no idea, sorry
Hey All was just update to 24.31.22. I think I am in a beta group. Anyhow Wifi calling is now part of the Droid 2 along with unspecified security and bug fixes..
Cool. Looking forward to it. Still just 6.0? Or 6.0.1?
Is there a new modem to go with the update? My biggest complaint ATM with my Turbo 2 is random hang-ups with the radio where nothing wants to load, or random stutters in audio when streaming music.

Have anyone experienced problem updating to the latest ota ? Mine stops with error and restarts after then it shows update not successful!
It's showing available for me now, I saw something posted about it over the weekend. Latest security patches and WiFi calling. 623 MB's, update it on WiFi.

Update installed ok for me, up to the Sept patches and 6.0.1 as mentioned. I can't get WiFi calling to enable yet.
Edit: I had to re-enable the disabled Verizon apps I shut down when I "debloated" the phone to get the WiFi set up to work. I read you just need Verizon Login but that didn't work so I turned everything back on, set it up and disabled them again. Just a tip if you disabled apps.
Update installed fine here as well. I don't care about it too much ATM though because my Nexus 6 just got 7.0.0
Just updated myself and activated wifi calling. I get marginal service at my house so it's a plus for me

It seems updating fine with everyone, my dt2 won't update for some reason.
For some reason I haven't even gotten the update ftw?

Anything happen if you tell the phone to check for updates under Settings, System Updates?
The radio issues that I was hoping were fixed are still there. Random times where there is no network connectivity despite having a decent 4G signal. I've also had times where I just randomly loose 4G and go back to 3G for a short period for no reason, then 4G just magically comes back. Never had the same issues with my Nexus 6, so I know it is a phone issue. Wife has the T2 as well, and she has random network issues as well.
I have noticed with mine yesterday that it wouldn't send a text while it had good 4g service a few times. A reboot fixed it. Only issue, besides battery life not being as good as I feel a phone like this should be, is when I am in my car either playing a podcast/music over Bluetooth and I pull into my driveway and connect to my wifi network my Bluetooth disconnects from my car and then after like 20 seconds reconnects. Not a huge issue. Just annoying. It's happened since the original marshmallow install though and FDR doesn't fix it.

I got the update like a week before my wives phone. It's that that called a soak test?
I finally got the update today. But then again I have found OTA updates very inconsistent.
Not sure if it's because my Turbo 2 knows that it's getting replaced or what, but I've had several radio related issues over the past 2-3 days. Loosing network connectivity, slow connectivity, bluetooth skips, etc. Issues I've never expected to have from a Motorola device. Thankfully my backup Motorola phone, the Nexus 6 works fine without these issues. Just need to hold myself over until my Pixel XL shows up.
I have had some weird issues after the update also. I took the update and could not get Wi-Fi calling to work. So Verizon told me to factory reset the phone. Now my Wi-Fi calling is enabled however the call Quality is poor with or without HD voice, and everytime I reboot my phone it boots to the AP fastboot screen. Then I have to press the power button to start and it will Start Up Normally.
Any thoughts on this one.
BTW, they are sending me a replacement device and I'm probably going to be upgrading to the Pixel XL anyways
