Note2 stuck on "Galaxy NoteII" Screen. Need my data :( - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi people,
forgive me if it is posted before but I couldn't find it. (I think I'm getting really old)
My phone note2 is stuck on "Galaxy Note II "screen. I haven't install any upgrade, haven't done any update etc. It just happened by itself. I know I can fix this by doing "wipe data & factory reset" but I need my data (especially photos and contacts). Is there any way to get though without losing any data?

In recovery select apply update from cache. If it's cached the previous update files they may be able to replace the damaged one. If that doesn't work and you end up back in recovery, try wiping the cache and rebooting.

thanks for your reply but I think I messed up. I tried a software called Dr.fone to recover my data and I end up stuck in Dr.fone recovering screen. And then I tried to root the phone. It looked like it was successful but the screen is gone now and I'm not able to open the phone nor in recovery mode neither in odin mode. I may damaged the motherboard

Help! HTC Desire sticks to the s-off Screen!

Hello all
One of my friends have HTC Desire
He installs different ROMs on his smart phone.
Yesterday he downloaded RunnyMede v4 and tried to install it
but in alpha recovery when it asks for a custom zip file he chose the wrong zip file , and during the installation of the wrong ROM he took out the battery in order to cancel the installation (I know taking the battery out during installation is the the most stupidest thing ! but I wasn't near him to prevent him!)
so then he put the battery back , but the phone never works like before ! It always sticks at the s-off screen here is image

now , it doesn't matter which ROM I install , I tried several ROMs (including the backup of the official ROM) but all of them Sticks at that damn screen !
waited for almost 1 hour but that screen never disappeared , but the phone itself restarted several times ,! but again it stuck to that screen again!
you know its like a loop , when I turn the phone on it show that screen and after some minutes it restarts automatically and again it sticks to that screen !
Please , if anyone knows a solution , tell me
I appreciate all the suggestions and answers
Waiting for suggestions
thanks all
Did you Wipe everything before installing a new ROM?

[Q] Possible Corrupted EFS File?

Hello folks. So yesterday I was tinkering around with my phone in an attempt to load the jelly bean ROM. I am new to the world of ROM's and things, so I made sure I did my research before going into the new ROM. I got everything backed up (so I thought), and flashed the jelly bean ROM. The screen just sat there doing nothing until I got rid of it and restored my backup from CWM.
Now every time I boot, I get a screen that says "Unfortunately, Factory Test has stopped" and it cancels out wifi and I have no lock screen/power off menu. I found a solution on XDA that said to look in the EFS file for a certain folder, but when I went into my /efs folder, this is what I saw.

So there is nothing in my EFS file unless I'm reading this wrong. And I was stupid enough to save my original absolutely clean version from EFS Pro on the internal memory which I wiped. I have another backup which I think might also be corrupted on my computer from the Galaxy s3 toolkit.
The strange thing is that from what I've read, EFS corruption leads to the phone being useless with no functionality. Mine is almost totally functional, minus the Factory Test coming up.
Help please?!!
Bump. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Any ideas to shoot around at all.
bump. Im having the same issue

If your /efs folder is missing/empty try this:
Get back to stock
Open Dialer

[Q] [CDMA] Stuck in Boot Loop

recovery: TWRP 2.5.0
ROM: aokp_primoc_unofficial_Jan-19-13
kernel: the one that came with the aokp rom .zip found in this page
anyway I try to do a factory reset in TWRP and it failed (sd - ext wouldnt wipe for some reason) so I just wipe everything else (system, cache, davlek, and android_secure). I install AOKP and reboot.
so AOKP's colorful unicorn bootloader comes up and I'm greeted by the new interface. It asks for the default launcher and I decide to go with nova launcher. About 30 seconds later the thing reboots and I go through the same process over and over again.
I tried a different kernel as well, lean kernel, and it never got past the "this is for development purposes only" screen. this >

I tried getting back to stock, but even when I recover the back up I made in TWRP before I changed ROMs it gives me the "this is for development purposes only" screen again and never continues.
Things I've tried
Running an RUU program. always fails.
getting the RUU rom file from the temp folder, renaming it, PK76DIAG, and putting in my sd card. says hboot version is old.
flashing a different ROM. gives me a black screen
reformatting sd card, still can't wipe sd - ext
Scrolling through the internet I can see that a lot of people have trouble with the One V and boot looping, but none of their solutions help me,
I'm really at my wits end so if anyone has had this trouble before I'd love the help
Is this even in the right section?

You can't fix this issue only by replacing the motherboard. You have a faulty internal memory, and the phone won't read or write anything unless you change that

Bricked TCL Alcatel 1x 5059x

So, I really wanted to get the phone rooted, and I couldn't do it without a recovery, because I can't find the firmware for it no matter what, there is only firmware for 5059d, so when I flashed TWRP for 5059d, it was asking for a password, but I didn't have one. I made one, but TWRP didn't let me mount internal storage. I tried factory reset and it made it even worse, it showed me this image

}
I tried factory reset but didn't help, then I tried to flash 5059d stock recovery, it worked, but now it does not even want to boot into system, I have tried Wipe data/Factory reset, didn't help. I am stuck now. I did try to flash stock firmware for 5059d, but I can't do it for some reason, SP flashtool throws me some ERROR : STATUS_BROM_CMD_FAIL /0xC0060005) error. I really don't know what to do now, if someone knows to help me, it would be preety cool . This is not my main phone, but I really want to get it fixed. Screw rooting now.
Where did you get the ROM?

Look at this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...rom-a-5059d-to-unbrick.4598953/#post-88676529
May be worth a shot. If I were you I'd first try normally just plugging the usb cable in while the phone is off, and if it doesn't work, take it apart, unplug the battery, and then plug it in
