Sprint Note 2 and CM13 - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

I have no idea if it will happen anytime soon. I am always looking! . . .
What really makes me sad everytime I look at the changelogs from CM is that the Galaxy S3 has CM13. I chuckle . . . and then become sad. I look at my note 2 and feel bad for it.

I have a really rough build of cm13 running on my l900.
No cell service ("No sim card") and Bluetooth doesn't work but it's fast and even the video freeze from cm 12.1 nighties is gone. I'll work on it a little more this weekend though...

It installs and boots up fine. I used open gapps micro and TWRP 3.0.2.0 and of course it was a clean install!

Don't suggest it but a dirty install over CM12.1 works fine in a pinch. ?
Have to fiddle with getting SuperSU through recovery though.

Anyone try Miitomo on CM13 yet?

I actually ran into tons of issues that were only solved by formatting the data partition. Do a clean install you will be much happier. One of the weirder ones was rebooting with headphones plugged in.
Sent from my SPH-L900 using XDA-Developers mobile app

Fresh install of today's nightly an no data I had hope. If it wasn't for the camera and video issues I would of been content on 12.1
EDIT:
I have latest cwm recovery
fresh install of 5/24/16 nightly
gapps aroma installer very few gapps kept stock camera.
After I flashed the ROM and gapps I flashed a radio from rwilco's
When I rebooted I said no to fix root(if you click fix root you loose root and the ROM runs buggy)
Enable root in developer options
Install busy box
Profit...
So far no real issues calls text and MMS and data works. sprint vmm installed no force closes on anything.
None of the video playback issues I had on cm12.1.
Issues:
1.I haven't got screen recorder to work it records the videos but can't playback video. Working on trying to get it to work currently. Gonna try finding the apk and reinstalling it.
2. Since cm12.1 I've had and issue with sending and uploading recorded videos with apps. I fixed this by opening the camera app switched the video quality to standard recorded a video then switched it back to 1080 and video upload works fine.
Pics attached of course I've already themed it

What's the zino fix? Would it work for Boost Mobile?

Yes it will I used it on my girls d2spr to get data working with boost let me find the link
Edit original post..
I am doing my due diligence to post that I found this ChangeOfJinzoData-APNFix-V1.2.zip which has enabled 3g and 4g LTE for my SGS3 on RingPlus with CM13 5/5 nightly! THIS WAS CREATED FOR THE LG VOLT but it has worked effortlessly for my d2spr. ALSO this is supposed to be made for CM12/13.<br />
<br />
I DID NOT need to do the aforementioned "wipe-flash rom-flash gapps-flash fix-reboot-dirty flash rom-flash gapps"<br />
I simply applied the fix after a clean flash and after gapps. I will say that I fiddled with the *#*#4636#*#* settings but I don't think that was necessary. I only have a day on this but all has been well. I traveled about town and had LTE almost the whole time. For reference the APN settings menu is missing for me. I created an activity to get there through NOVA launcher but no APNs show up - but they are working.<br />
<br />
This also changes your network to say "RingPlus" or "Ting" or whatever you flash with.<br />
<br />
The file is attached to this post with indirect permission from the creator (credit being given).<br />
The link to the creator is here: http://androidforums.com/threads/al...-lg-volt-on-cm13-cm12-other-roms-too.1024839/<br />
<br />
It is said to work with RingPlus, Sprint, Textnow, FreedomPop, Boost Mobile, Ting, Virgin Mobile and you pick with a menu option.

RandomReboot
Hi All. I am loving the fact that i can run Marshmallow on my sprint note 2.
But every nightly i flash ends up giving me Random Reboots.
I end up reverting to CM 12.1. I really want this to work.
Anybody else have this issue and fix it? everything else seems fine.
GPS, Wifi, in call volume, all good. I LOVE the daylight brightness too!!
Anybody got anything on this?? Please?

I have lots of random reboots, especially when using gps navigation or streaming audio over bluetooth. I seen a few other people talking about random reboots but it seems to work fine for others. When I find some time I would like to try to reproduce the error while logging, but for now im hoping someone can get one of the later 12.1 nighties because I can oly find a really old one.

The last one i tried was 7/6, i had the previous one, had random restarts then dirty flashed the following day the newest nightly, same thing so i reverted to saved backup. TWRP is working great on this now.
Stock? Why stock? KK???
The CM12.1 rom works fine for me.
Its the latest snapshot.

Im on the 7/1 nightly and the only reboot I have is if I'm using data and hit a service deadzone which for me is like twice a week

Compass and GPS seems to work for me, tethering does not since WiFi is broken, maybe something in the kernel for WiFi to check into.

This is great! Been testing all day and so far only thing I found is the screen auto rotation does not seem to work. Otherwise a great alpha release!
Edit: I realize the orientation sensor was a known issue, just commenting on how well everything else works. Regarding the panorama, I found it to work just fine. The original zip file did not contain a camera app but the one I downloaded from the play store works great with picture, video, panorama, and save to sd card (an issue with cm10 on other devices).

[ROM][I317/t0lteatt][4.4.4][UNOFFICIAL] Dirty Unicorns v8.2 [Final] (11/21/2014)

///WARNING\\\
I am not a developer or maintainer!
I only compiled the ROM from source and can only attest to it running properly on my Note 2.
I make no guarantees that the zip will even install on your device, nevertheless run without issue.
Be warned that you flash this zip at your own risk and I refuse to take any responsibility for it bricking your phone,
breaking any of your apps, missing calls or unable to make calls,
becoming self-aware and making you it's slave, overheating the battery and making your pants explode,
or any other issue that may not be as likely as these.
\\\WARNING///
The thread for the official build of Dirty Unicorns for the t0lteatt (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2640856) maintained by JMZ hasn't been updated in quite some time and the Dirty Unicorns download site (http://download.dirtyunicorns.com/?device=t0lteatt&folder=Weeklies) hasn't posted a weekly for t0lteatt since July 21, so I chose to build my own flashable zip from source at https://github.com/DirtyUnicorns-KitKat. I have had to make small changes to a couple of source files to get the zip to build, but everything still seems to work just fine, so I figured I'd post it for y'all to have a look at.
If you have any problems, you can go ahead and post your issue here to see if anyone can help you. I wouldn't post your problems in the official thread unless they're also problems faced with an official build. I can't guarantee that I'll be able to help you figure out your issue, or be able to squash any bugs you may find, but I'll try to do everything I can to help.
Of course... Credit goes out to TeamDirt for such a great ROM... JMZ and all the other maintainers who spend their own time to make sure this ROM is available on a variety of devices... All the various projects thanked and credited by JMZ in the official thread (sorry... I'm too lazy to list them myself, but if you feel I should list them, let me know and I will list them in the future)... And all of you who continue to have patience and loyalty with this great ROM. Thank you all!
Flashing Instructions:
* Dirty Unicorns recommends TWRP, but I use Philz Touch recovery and it works just fine.
* Download ROM and GAPPS from the links below.
* Reboot into recovery.

Ahhh... That may be the confusion. I never turn on the audio history for Google Now, because it always seems pretty buggy on almost every ROM I've ran since the OK Google Detection from every screen was added. I didn't have any problems with the G+ update and I purposefully installed the update while the rest of my apps were downloading and updating, just like what used to cause the repetitive System UI FCs for me in the past on the official build. Perhaps it's a problem with the GAPPS you're using. I'm using the du_tbo-gapps, but I can only comment on using them with the total black out mode set. Which GAPPS are you installing?
You could try the pa_gapps micro or nano packages, as neither of these contain a copy of G+ and then install G+ from the play store (if you want to). Another work-around may be to not accept the G+ update. I know on my device, I have to implicitly install the update. Let us know how things work out for ya... Have a good one!
So I noticed that with any other kernels, the WiFi doesn't stick. Even sometimes, WiFi won't work at all. I figured leaving the stock kernel alone, it rums well.

THIS IS AN UNOFFICIAL BUILD OF LIQUID LOLLIPOP AND NOT SUPPORTED BY THE NORMAL DEV TEAM. SO IF YOU FIND A BUG, DON'T ASK THEM FOR ANY KIND OF SUPPORT. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE OFFICIAL LIQUID LOLLIPOP, YOU CAN FIND THAT HERE.
Here is a build I put together today of LiquidSmooth v4.0 (Android 5.0.1). I build unofficial builds for one of the S2 variants, and having the d2att S3, I figured I would build it for it too. And since it worked, figured I would just drop it here.
THINGS TO NOTE
ABOUT THE ROM
This build does not use the Material Dark theme that the official Liquid Lollipop uses it. I reverted it to Material Light in some places just because I prefer it. There are still a few system apps and places you will find the darker theme, but most of the ROM is light. Camera is a little off still. Works for some, doesn't for others. I recommend Open Camera from the PlayStore. Pictures work flawless with it.. Video will cause FC.. Wifi, Mobile Data, etc are also working. As far as bugs, I'm sure there are some, but being early in the Lollipop era, it should be expected.
ABOUT THE KERNEL
The D2-Shift that I recommend to use with this comes from the awesome @rogersb11. It's built with Linaro GCC-4.9.1 and includes the faux sound mod (thanks to @faux123). When flashing the kernel, it will install Stweak kernel control app. HOWEVER Stweaks support is not complete yet. So use Trickster or whatever kernel control app you wish with it.
DOWNLOAD AND INSTALLATION
THAT USUAL DISCLAIMER STUFF
Yup, you knew this was coming. Neither I nor anyone else including, but not limited to, my wife, kids, your neighbor, or that annoying Fluffy the cat down the road are responsible to damage to your phone while flashing this. This includes, soft brick, hard brick, one brick, two brick, red brick, blue brick. ALSO, I built this specifically for the d2att variant. If you want to try it on another d2 variant then you do so at your own risk. It's up to you to know if it can work and how.
DOWNLOADS
Unofficial Liquid Lollipop from this link right here.
Gapps from this here link (or 5.0 Gapps of your choice)
Shift-D2 Kernel can be found here.
Update SuperSU (thank you @Chainfire) from the link you can click on right here.
INSTALLATION
1) BACK THAT THANG UP! Seriously, it never hurts.
2) Factory Reset, Full Wipe
3) Flash ROM, Gapps, Kernel
4) Flash Update SuperSU
5) Safety Wipe of Dalvik (ART now)
6) Reboot
SPECIAL THANKS
First and foremost thanks to the entire LiquidSmooth team because of course, without them, this wouldn't exist. I always have to thank @rogersb11 like my life would cease without him. Seriously though, the kernel is all his building, and the help he has given me over the last little while as I learn how to build from source. Say thank you to the man, would ya? Thanks to @bob24260 who first introduced me to Android and rooting and all that fun stuff a long time ago, and who also took that nervous step of being the first to flash this with me.

No Thank you!
I've had the distinct pleasure of knowing GeekyNimrod for a while now in "real" life and I also had the pleasure of being the first to flash this.I'm loving it.Great job Geeky.I may have been the person to introduce Geeky to Android but I've always been old school gingerbread person.Geeky changed that with his work.I'm absolutely in love with this build.Camera straight out of the "box" so to speak.Once again great job and I look forward to future builds. In my thread title it says No thank you,it should have said No,thank you!Was thanking Geeky not criticizing as the lack of comma implied.Overlook me,I'm a doofus.
Oh yeah,First!!!!Lol

For pics, yes. Video, no.

I was just getting ready to clarify
Hardware repo should be good to go. Video MOST LIKELY comes from a d2 common repo. IDK tho, I don't have this device and my N2 is Exynos not Qualcomm
not taking pics also,It took a pic first time, next time it stopped working, the focus circle stuck and it won't take pictures
there's no file manager!

Try clearing data on camera in settings, reboot to recovery and wipe dalvik (ART)and cache. Its worked for me on similar issues before.Camera is working fine for me.As far as file manager there's plenty to choose from in the Play store.
I found Clear Dalvik cache, but why you mention (ART)
I do not find such option in my TWRP 8
Flash failed. Re-downloading now.

There is no dalvik on Lollipop. When you clear dalvik in recovery you are actually clearing ART.ART stands for Android Run Time.It replaced dalvik.
[QRCODE][/QRCODE]thanks for your quick reply!

Not sure what you're referring to on volume boost. As far as camera,if its not working for you I would suggest Open Camera on the Play Store. Its free and it should work for you.

Don't know why your were having camera issues, but mine has taken pic after pic with no problem. File managers can be downloaded from the PlayStore.
As for video recording, a read of the OP would have told you it wasn't working.

stock partition only..
but it might change in the future..
What a beast you are
New build is up guys! Use the first "download" link in OP to get it.. ill be uploading on the second link too, in a minute!!
Changes - Check Euphoria's gerrit.
Sync was done like 7 hours back!
Used a new toolchain. UBER TOOLCHAIN 4.8 for ROM and 4.9 for kernel!
Everything is frikking smoother and faster now.
SELinux is set to permissive. I like it that way.
I am still looking to implement LVM. Might take time. I am a NOOB
I've tried both beta's and they both run extremely smooth. Only problem I've had with both is when someone sends me a text I get unfortunately messenger has stopped on both beta's. I've tried clean installs on both coming from nameless then tried clean install coming from cyanogen 12. Tried cleaning data and cache from messenger app but nothing has worked. Everything else has worked but receiving texts. Correct APN was verified so I'm at a loss.

I've seen where people were having same issues with cyanogen 12.1 as well so might be an underlying issue there. Wish they could get it resolved for what time I've played with this ROM I'd love to give it more time as a daily driver but I need to be able to receive texts. Other then this issue the work looks very good and promising.
WiFi is broken when flashing SuperSU for root.
ROM worked fine prior.

Super su 2.46
Thanx for a great build
(Just flashed beta 2.48, wifi speed is back at normal again, it was extremely slow and sluggish on 2.46?)

Thanks, will try out 2.48
Everything actually works at first boot. ROM backups my apps through cloud. But after restarting, WiFi breaks and am unable to fix the issue until I do another clean install. Only happens on 5.1, can't replicate it on 5.0.2.
EDIT: Scratch that, I actually flashed 2.48 :banghead: Wonder what the issue is.

Wifi works with 2.48, but no way rom will enter deep sleep!
Even changing sleep mode in kernel tweaker doesn't change anything!

This deep sleep problem is really weird. Which gapps do you use?

CM12.1 is here for the LS980, aka the Sprint LG G2.
This is a source build rom, which includes all the latest changes from cm. The nightlies are starting August 2nd.
Instructions
Official support is now limited to ZVE and ZVG basebands. CM-12.1 is based on a completely new kernel. This has enabled support for the latest basebands newer than ZV8.
While many people and devices are in various states we officially recommend flashing back to stock then fully updating your device before using cm-12.1.
If you are coming straight from cm-12.0 the rom will not boot.
Download cm-12.1, and gapps. Put them on your sdcard, reboot to recovery. Flash, and enjoy!
The latest will be available at:
http://get.cm/?device=ls980

sweet, been waiting for this! but-- latest nightly is from 7/26, and is only version 12, not 12.1, and no google apps? seems a bit preemptive to me
Downloaded and installed nightly from 08-04. Flashed over stock rooted ZVG then a full wipe.
good:
GPS seems to be much more responsive with cm12.1.
bad:
camera app wont open, downloaded google camera and others from the play store, nothing works.
no flashlight shortcut in quick settings panel, when i try to turn on via "OK google" causes force close. this is a really useful tool for me and its bumming me out its not included here, or in stock ZVG
Shiny, may be able to abandon the official firmware (again) a bit later when things are a bit more stable.
Anyone have any reports on if the screen double tap to wake works?
Can't wait to flash this. Been having issues updating past 5/17 on CM12.
After fighting with ZVG to get root it's all working. 7-17 Gapps was giving me issues though. Downgraded to 4-21.

Double tap didn't work on older versions, but you can tap 5 times to wake in the version I'm using (I don't know why it's 5... but that has worked reliably for me)

If you tot to any version of kit kat the phone will update to lollipop. Paste this address into your browser for root tool. http://sourceforge.net/projects/avicohh/files/Android/LG_One_Click_Root_by_avicohh.exe/download. Sorry, don't know how to put link in post as of yet. Autorec file is specific to sprint. File name is something like omg so good version. Autorec will take care of everything else for you. Then just flash 12.1 and gapps normally.
What gapps version are you guys using with 12.1? Initially I flashed 7-17 but ran into issues with the Play Store being unable to download/install any apps. I flashed 4-21 and now I get occasional, seemingly random vibrations, sometimes up to 30 seconds long. Doesn't seem to interfere with operation though.

What tool do you use to tot to kitkat? The LG Flash Tool will not recognize device model anymore after you flash CM12.1 nightly.
