Just joined to find out if anyone else is having a similar problem...?
I've created a second user account on my nexus 7.. Set up was all okay. But when trying to use apps installed via the play store the screen become unresponsive...
I can use stock apps, ie. YouTube but apps such as Twitter don't allow me to input anything at all..
I have new htc 820 desire, bought a month back. Havent installed any custom rom or kernels. Not even rooted. Few days back my location based apps stoped working, like google maps, cab apps, etc. Google maps is opening but it is unable to determine my location. Even if location service is on along with gps. Then i noticed that my contacts are not getting synced with google. Even other apps are not getting synced and i am not getting any notifications either, which i used to get from various apps. None of my apps are disabled in app manager. I even tried to install a diff version of google play service but it dint installed. Google play service is not geting disabled from both app manger nor from play storre. I tried to clear chache and app data from play services but still nothing happened. Google play service in app manager seems unresponsive coz both uninstall and disable butons are frozen.. ill attach a screen shot.
Guys please help me out.. it seems a play service error..
Greetings
i had recently updated the google apps like maps, google play services, google play games along with other random apps like imo, peel smart remote, messenger etc . i was on a whatsapp call when i was switching from WiFi network to mobile data . No sooner i did that, the google services stopped working and the phone restarted. once it was in, the maps stopped working. i kept getting the message "unfortunately google services stopped working " a couple of times.
Now even the google play app is missing from the app drawer and also the google account does not seem to sync.
i have encountered the same issue before and i had to do a hard reset along with clearing the cache in recovery mode to fix it.(i lost my root privileges in that process. )
kindly assist
Can anyone share "CM13 Nightly LG G3 D855 Disable Service Backup File" with me
Hi Guys,
I disabled several google play services by reading some articles and lost the track of it, around 170 service out of 391 is disabled now using disableservice app.
So, what i need is someone who uses lg g3(d855) with cm13 to share the disable services app backup with me, so I can see what services I need enabled minimally to make it work properly again. Apparently i broke something and gmail app is not working. I couldnt get logcat to work, it gives read failure error and I am not sure if this is related to disabled services.
Note: I didnt take any backup, because i thought i was safe as long as i am restricted to what i read but then articles kept growing booom here what i am.
Any help appreciated.
:good:I have found what i disabled, and got it working again. still i would appreciate if anybody can send me a proper disable service backup.
So if you disable:
com.google.android.gms.feedback.FeedbackService
com.google.android.gms.feedback.FeedbackAsyncService
Gmail App won't work.
Cheers
I am seriously planning on getting the A50 tomorrow. Can someone comment on the bloatware? Many people say there's many preinstalled apps and pop up ads... I have a huawei and the only thing i can say is wtf if this is true
Bloatware is understandable, but forced popups?
and which of those bloatware apps can be uninstalled and which can't
Any input from owners would be appreciated
Most of the bloatware can be uninstalled. I have not faced any popup ads in 10 days since I bought this phone plus you have Nice catch to take care of it.
There are no ads in the European version. I have seen 0 ads. Most bloat can be removed but Facebook and Linkedin can only be disabled.
The 'pm uninstall' command works over adb on Facebook, Flipboard, Bixby Home, Samsung Max, My Galaxy; but none of the apps actually get uninstalled. Without 'su' access, there doesn't seem to be a way to force uninstall these apps. The only option is to disable them from the 'Apps' menu.
There is no bloatware as such but Samsung Max is ad-supported and makes a mess of the lock screen whereas My Galaxy keeps nagging for installation of Samsung Widget. Disabling these two does the job.
Samsung includes IronSource to install multiple thrid-party apps during the setup process in some regions, so you have to ensure that you don't give your consent. Even then, all these apps are uninstallable later. I had reset my device once after an update and found that the setup process had changed to be less deceptive, so the onus is on you to be aware of what you are doing.

Turn off lock screen stories
You will be asked multiple times about promotions. Just don't enable those and you will be good to go. I am working on initial setup video which should be out later today or tomorrow.

I have used this device for over 20 days and I haven't seen any ads, there is some pereinstalled bloatware which you can uninstall. Turn off lockscreen stories, go to settings, security, and turn off "receive recommendations", "my galaxy" app just sends stupid notifications just disble it, there are some app recommendations in the game launcher app which I guess you can turn off

Samsung Max displays ads over and above lock screen stories. You can activate only the Premium account which still shows ads when charging. Hence, Samsung Max needs to be disabled as well.
Just buy package disabler pro and youre good to go! I disabled all bloatware automatically (there is an option) and disabled myself crap like bixby, google, chrome, facebook etc.
