On my wife's phone, the Netflix app does not work. It just hangs on the red circle screen for several minutes, than finally an error message pops up: could not connect to Netflix services (0000).
We tried different wifi connections, we also reset the phone (Google rep suggestion) but that didn't help. It sounds a lot like what's described in this G3 thred:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-g3/help/netflix-issues-marshmallows-t3280196
Apparently there is a patch that fixes this problem on the G3. Is this a knows issue on the 5X as well?

Apparently (0000) is not a proper Netflix error code (at least according to Netflix support). By reading the G3 thread, it seems as though this may be a marshmallow-related problem, and someone posted a patch that consistently fixes the issue.

I had a problem a while back with the Appstore logging out daily, so each log in adds a new device on-line. It was "fixed" on a revC apk and working fine for a few weeks. Just started doing the same yesterday. Anyone else having this issue?
I haven't seen this issue since it was fixed except for once. The appstore was logged out for no reason. It hasn't happened since so I haven't thought about it again. Not sure of any cause though.

Ditto here. I think I'm done with Amazon apps. Combine the losing password with the fact that you can't see the version of app store without logging in (to see if you need to update) and you can't paste into the password box (since I keep my passwords in a safe and normally don't see/type them) it becomes way too annoying.
So you are giving up on an app that gives you a free app every day because you occasionally have to re enter your details?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
I uninstalled appstore, and re downloaded and reinstalled from here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/mas/get/android seems to stick now. I have too many free apps to give it up, although I am replacing them 1 by 1. Play is so much faster at updating.

Well, not just that. The free app every day used to include some good ones, but I can't remember the last time I saw one that interested me. The re-entering of details (and situations where you can't do that, like if you're on a plane) combined with the lack of timely app updates (and occasional battery drain issues) just make it more hassle than it's worth for me. YMMV.
I just receive "We're unable to connect to netflix right now. Please try again later". I've googled and tried a few solutions, clearing data, uninstalling, rebooting, updating android. I am on JLS36C btw
Cheers for any help

I don't think Netflix currently works on 4.3. I have been able to sign in to Netflix on my LTE N7 and on my G-Note II (running CM 10.2), but any time I try to start a stream, any number of bad things happen - the message you get, an FC or worse, the app just vanishes. This may be covered elsewhere, but I am not sure it can be solved until Netflix does something...

Mine works fine. I get an error every now and again, but an uninstall/reinstall always fixes it. WiFi version though.
Not true I use Carbon rom and even used to use it on the stock ROM and I am able to watch shows on netflix on my LTE nexus using ATT network. It must be something else causing your device not to be able to connect.
I have no problem watching Netflix either on my LTE N7 (tried only over Wi-Fi). Haven't had to play with uninstall/reinstall either, but have had to sign in multiple times. That's the only sort of glitch I've found.

Ok so I'm using my free trial of play music all access and I love it but question, when I select to "Keep Music on Device" and it says it's downloading, does that mean I get to keep it permanently? Even after the trial is up?
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
No. Only music you buy is kept. However, if you are a music addict like I am, the 9 bucks is worth it. If you don't renew your subscription, your music will disappear. If you start using all access again, your music will come back.

Is Google Music finally working properly on stock ROMs? I remember the app was plagued with the "Music Cannot Be Played" issue, no matter what sort of connection you had. I've switched over to CM 10.2 and it works flawlessly now, but just wondering if any of the updates Google's released has fixed the issue.

Worked well when I was on stock zvc and Optimus. On KitKat now and works well too.

I flashed back to zvc yesterday and so far I've had no streaming errors. Knock on wood.

I just flashed back to stock today, and I have noticed that Play Music is better, but I still have issues. It will let me play a few songs (I got through 5) and I get the Music Playback Error. When I try to resume, it gives me the error immediately, but if I rewind the song, it allows me to play a few more songs.
I am going to try and disable caching and see how that affects it.
All of my testing thus far has been on Wifi (20Mbps fiber connection), so it definitely is not an internet issue.
Yeah the errors started up again for me too, but much more infrequently. Still frequent enough to be a huge nuisance though

I have logged a case with Google Play Support. They had me go through clearing app data, etc. Of course, this didn't work, so they asked for a logcat. I sent them two logs showing multiple occurrences of the error.
So far, they have been very responsive. I sent the ticket in yesterday evening and got a response within 15 minutes. Hopefully, their engineering team can figure out what is going on from my logcats.

Something similar happened when I logged a complaint... 4 months ago. Not to be cynical, I just can't help it.
Hm yeah I think I'll stick with CM10.2, it's extremely stable at this point for me, zero issues, and Google Music works flawlessly.
I had this problem as well. Ended up switching to rhapsody until the issue is resolved,

I got pissed off fixing the front face camera issue on my Nexus 7 and gave Google a call. Basically, its says "cannot connect to a camera" and crashes on stock camera app. Skype crashes as well.
I've did all the resets and a hard reset as well, and none of the methods seem to help, and I believe the rocket science is not needed to get the front face camera working. The device runs stock android.
I've called Google twice and described the issue, and they always say its a known software issue and I should wait for a fix. I tried to google it, but haven't found anything on this particular issue, so I think the device is defective and my update will never come.
Is this really a software issue?

Front camera is a know issue on Nexus 5 I know. Still a camera fix and battery drain fix should be rolling out in the near future via 4.4.3.

I remember other devices (old evo3d) and would get that error if I changed ROMs and or kernals to ones that didn't work fully.

Its not an issue on all hardware, only a select number of Nexus devices. But, they are stating that 4.4.3 will correct this issue, among other fixes including the camera focus. Basically 4.4.3 is for fixing the bugs, not really for updating features.
Both cameras work here.

Mine is working fine.
Got it replaced. I knew it was a defective, but the Google rep kept insisting me to wait for an update. Just had to call again and basically REQUESTED a replacement.
So as far as the update goes I really do like it. However I am having a couple issues. Wifi calling will no longer connect for starters. Also when I open messaging and then open a conversation there's like a 2 sec pause before the conversation actually opens. Anyone else having these issues? I'm wondering if I should just do a hard reset and start from scratch. Thanks for any help.

No wifi calling for me after enabled for a few minutes from a fresh reboot. Get a can't connect wifi calling to the network message, but if I reboot It works right after for a few again.
I have neither issue, and I use WiFi calling on many different networks, you should call Sprint and have then reset your WiFi calling. On the messaging, try a different app, such as Textra. I notice a lil more battery drain, but that will prolly change after 7 soaks in for a few days.

Are you guys with WiFi calling issues using any ad blocking software. As that seems to be likely what is causing my issues with WiFi calling. Adguard disabled it will work all day just fine.

Wow thanks. I use adguard and once I disabled it it worked right away. I did enable it again right after so we'll see if it holds.

It likely will not, or doesn't for me. I'd go without it for a while and make sure WiFi calling is fine. (make a few calls and such) then later fill a report from within the app feedback. They will likely get back to you asking to change the logging level to everything and reproduce the problem. so maybe do that from the start. The more reports the better chance it gets fixed.

NEED URGENT HELP
I updted my LG G5 sprint to Nougat and since then the LG IMS stopped error has been popping every sec....
is anyone having this issue and how to fix it
LG G5 Text Message Issues since Adroid 7.0 Nougat Update
The problem with not receiving text messages reliably on an LG phone running Android 7.0 Nougat is related to the text messaging app that LG created and loaded onto our phones as the default messaging app. I reported this issue to LG about a month ago after extensive testing and I've confirmed that many 3rd party messaging apps will work reliably. For instance and app like Textra will work reliably and offers much more functionality than the built in LG app.
I even went as far as to provided my testing details then send my phone in for warranty repair so that LG could have a closer look and work towards a resolution but all LG did was factory reset my phone and said that the phone worked fine. When I got it back I tested again and the issue remained. I firmly believe LG has no idea how to resolve this software issue and is ignoring it at this point and basically screwing their customers over. Luckily the solution is to ditch the LG messaging app and use any 3rd party messaging app instead.....but I would encourage anyone having this issue to hold LG to task and report it to them as this issue is a direct result of a poorly written application they created.
This is my first LG and it will be my last....never again!
