[ROM][DEV] Glacier Port of MoDaCo Fear ROM

I am working on a port of this rom:

It is the fear edition
Credit for the ROM goes to Paul of Modaco and FearKill plus any credits Fearkill is giving
Unfortuntly THIS IS NOT BOOTING UP
DO NOT FLASH UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING
Be sure to make a nandroid

I have got it booting to the boot animation
Logcat not available from me - once i loaded this rom, it would not let me get a logcat
It bootloops from the lg boot animation
Updater-script needs work
-Must mount system and other partitions manually in recovery
-I had to push the boot.img manually through fastboot

As this is my first ever rom port, i would love the help of this amazing community. I am also learning so if possible, it would be great if you would point out what you changed.

got it to boot further using faux's kernel. I think its further because i took longer before boot looping. I wont know for sure since i cant get a logcat...
any help would be much appreciated...

LOL now you people are just being silly. I really would love to test the MoDaCo's rom but ATM busy ill do check this thread so update it.

He's obviously trying to get other experienced developers to help him out with his port. Have some respect.

I am still working on it and trying to make it work, though as a new dev it would be phenomenal for some help from an experienced dev

Hi, I'm using this ROM about two weeks ago, and I are going great. My congratulations to the developers.
* I installed two updates already with the flashing of the boot, of course, in all I have a problem, if I turn on the phone with the charger plugged in, the touch screen does not work, but I draw the battery not working again.
* Besides this last upgrade does not work:
"cm-11-20140304-UNOFFICIAL-ace"
Keeps saying the phone:
"The process com.android.phone has stopped"
And obviously you have to restore to previous version.
I trust them to fix it. Thank you very much to all.

Stay tooned on the topic in Dev section as you will see it's being worked on.

Try this versio cm-11-20140303-UNOFFICIAL-ace.zip for me this working good another 304 i have the same rezult andoid.com has stopped.

Make clean flash another builds Nightlies or Beta Release.
Remember: Do not "crossed the streams":

Yes. If u r on Nightlies now, and u want to install BR, u have to do clean install. Otherwise u'll have problems with the ROM.

PS: I waited 15 or 20 minutes and nothing, the cell does not turn

U must flash the provided kernel as @robgie said using flastool or cmd

well, I have an Xperia NEO (hallon) the zip is "vanir_hallon_4.4.2.031714" I have changed kernel and still does not pass the logo of the kernel, I went back to download the zip but the Haida and worked well, weird no?

sorry for that i don't have the device @saatvik2012 maybe help u as he told me he tested and works perfect & he built it from the source

of course! give all the credit to @deccen90 to do the patch. I'll just send up a mirror of your patch

Thank you for ROM but there is a little bug that crashes launcher if apps are installed on SD card and you connect to PC via MSC.
Also i cant end call, must wait for other person to end it.

Thanx for the good work, I love your rom.
I understood that since 04/04 the kernel used is a unstable one.
I tried to install the build from 04/04, 05/04 and 07/04 with each time the same result : kernel freeze with color noise screen, not even kernel logo.
So, I revert to 30/03 build and it's ok.
I understand that I could help by flashing the unstable kernel and sending you the dmesg output.
But I'm afraid loosing all (bricked phone or I do'nt know what)...
Is there any procedure to easily "save" my current /boot to resotre it after the test ?

This is good (30/03 build )

I have a problem port SystemUl especially the battery icon with the Xperia Z2. I changed a few things in SystemUl.apk but nothing works.
Maybe another application is responsible for the battery icon
Any ideas

I have ported the Nokia X stock ROM to the Huawei Ascend G330. I thought it was possible since it has the same chipset as the Nokia X (MSM8225). I used @GalaxyUser's guide. Currently it gets stuck at the boot animation.

I used CM10 kernel because I dont know how to build my own from source
Any help to get it booted would be greatly appreciated

Then setup adb and get it working. It's the only way to fix a building ROM.

Adb is already set up on my Windows and Ubuntu dual-boot, when I install a working ROM its working, anyway I'll keep trying and I will post the logcat to you asap

My xperia zl always have some problems,weekly he crash the system e.e
my phone boot and crash few minutes later :v keep restarting and he dont have signal......

See the logcat.You will surely find some reason for your problem.Use any logcat application from playstore to start monitoring and writing your logs.:cyclops:

I suppose that your phone boots up and after sometime crashes and restarts.How much time it works fine after a boot.What happens when you enable your wifi connection.Are'nt you able to connect to a wifi network.If this happens with every rom that you try, i think it could be related to a hardware problem.Only way i will be able to help if you could get a logcat out of it
Could you explain in details what exactly happens after you boot.
