About ROM
Github :https://github.com/BrokenOs
From Lead Dev, InkSlinger420
This started as my personal project..I was looking to start something that was exactly what I wanted on my nexus 7 instead of either a Rom with a bunch of features you need a search to find (not that there's anything wrong with that, just not my cup of tea), or too light where i needed a module to get it (not that there's anything wrong with that either). It is very early in, but I and my team are trying to make this a enjoyable project and keep it updated as best we can regularly. Keep it friendly, or GTFO.....Thanks guys..
Thanks to Slim for the best base...and anyone (person or team) who has helped me along the way..
Standard Disclaimer
No one besides yourself is responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in the products you find here before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Your warranty will be void if you tamper with any part of your device / software. That said, I have tested this, and wouldn't post it here if I thought you would have issues from using it.

- Tweaks Menu - Ad Blocker, init.d and baked-in Kernel Tweaker
- Sound & Notifications - Vibration Tunables, Heads Up notification control

...and more coming
Installation Procedure:
Flashing procedure for the noobs out there:
1. Make a backup of your current setup
2. Wipe system, data, cache and dalvik cache. Factory reset isn't good enough. Some **** likes to linger like a bad VD.
3. Flash ROM and GAPPS
4. Reboot system and setup
5. SuperSU will ask you to update binaries. Don't worry, root is good. Just select yes to appease the app.
6. Profit!
If there are other kernels, mods or bootanimations or whatever other fancy stuff you add, do that after the initial install and boot. Be warned. If you have problems and are running anything besides stock BrokenOs, we won't support it. If you're flashing anything to your phone, we assume you have basic troubleshooting knowledge. Thanks for your cooperation.

BrokenPop is the Broken team's LP offering. the vast majority of the base is tracking from AOSP but there's much help from the hard working Slim team as well! Those guys kick ass. If you're looking for a clean, lean moderately themed M offering, your search is over. More features will be built back in as we move forward but it's time to show you around the new Broken goodness.

@ishubhamsingh Thanks Bhaiya for mentioning by Name ! Awesome ROM.
Sent from my Moto G 2014 using Tapatalk
First of all I must admit that this ROM is indeed great! There are a lot of options available to the user. However there are a few bugs, so I recorded a logcat (first one is from Camera, which says "Cannot connect to camera", the 2nd is a FC when tapping on Sound & Notifications > LED light and the last one is from Push Notification Tester, to test both LED notifications [which seems to work from time to time] and Ambient Display which doesn't work for me).
Thanks for such great ROM.

Unfortunately I only own the tf300t model and it would be beyond my skill level to setup an RIL without owning a TF300TG. it should work for your model but there would be no 3g support
CleanROM with kernel for (G) model works fine. Maybe I could just look for the proper libs/system parts, and by adding them to this Rom and flashing (G) kernel after it may work. Just asking for opinion from the dev, how do you think, will it work that way?
Thank you.
Got the answer. It is impossible.
Thank you one more time.

I like PA simply for the level of customization available. I'm not one to theme etc, but the visual options become very attractive once you've experienced them (i was skeptical, and wrong). that being said, haven't taken this version for a whirl yet, just hopped on cm10.1. once all settles, i will likely come home to PA

Always asked myself the same question.
Sent from The Beast using Tapatalk 2
This is not the question for me as I love the features like per-app DPI, per-App status bar, this PA colours for Navbar and so on - only thing I don't like is that I don't get many updates (especially in kernel as ROM doesn't seem to have many bugs)
Do we have TabletUI available on this ROM?

well the lack of updates is due to the recent project that the lead developers have taken on, (AOSPA) which is closed source. once paranoid 3.0 is open source, development will be up and running in full force. and to answer the other question, yes tablet UI is available with this ROM.
Mirror? DL link is giving me fits.

oh and other question: possible to dirty flash this over CM10.1?

Dirty flash over CM10.1 is possible yes, if you have any problems just wipe, make sure to make a backup just in case! also, as I am not privy to the source as of now, I do not know how far along they are, so no eta from me sorry!
Also, new mirror is up, I got too much traffic on my dropbox account so I switched to google drive for now(hopefully goo.im approves my application soon!)
Is the tablet mode on this, exactly like 4.1 Jellybean or does it have any 4.2 UI elements left in?
4.2 elements

Does this rom support the dock's battery? CM10.1 doesn't have support for this yet, wondering if PA does.....

I want this rom to be the go to for a CLEAN AOSP experience. Ultimate battery, performance and reliability OUT OF THE BOX, that's the goal of the rom. I picked the source that impressed me the most to do add my own layer of optimizations over it, tailor made for our device and it's hardware, more than a bot building the same source for 15 different devices. This rom may not be for those who feel the need to flash nightlies and even weeklies as I will always pick refinement over the addition of features. The base will only be updated when a new version is proven to be as clean as current version and when time allows it. To those who like the sound of it, you're in for for something great
There will be TWO changelogs for ONE rom. First, the source changelogs you can find linked in first post. Second, for my own layer of additions/fixes/tweaks: W03Tweaks

third party apps do not report the min and max clocks well
If you go in performance settings that is the real value
And guys please let me know if you get some SOD (sleep of death) device not waking up, this is our first release and I will soften our deep sleep tweaks if happens more than on stock CM11. Should be okay by the way!

This was in the performance settings. Also it doesn't appear to be sticking the new minimum. Trickster mod is now reporting that it's sticking I'll let you know if this changes and what happens after reboot. No sleep of death yet and none of the heat I had with earlier kit kat builds.
Update: 1574 minimum on reboot

What's Broken:
ROMS
ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy JB. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
How to flash:
Don't do it if you don't know it
ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes

Sounds like something did not flash correctly. I would do a factory wipe / format system and reflash rom + banks gapps to be safe

Couldn't agree more! Was sticking to the 1/31 CM11 build until this popped up, and I am also pleased that xfloating works with Halo. It wouldn't behave right on other ROMs featuring Halo but opening multiple apps works perfectly on here! Love that PC-like multitasking!
Only bug I've found is that the haloshortcuts app doesn't work with AOKP ribbons. It's supposed to open an app in a window when clicked but opens normally, instead.

By any chance this can be ported for Korean model? F240L?
Deep Sleep
First off, love this rom.
Now, I can't get this sucker to deep sleep. Using Wakelock detector, Suspend_Backoff seems to be the culprit. Anybody have this problem? I used PAgapps.

Oh, and @FcoEnrique
I won't build LS970 till you try GEE, and test yourself K? Cause this is one of the few CM Based ROM's on here.

I would actually release now, but my partner is asleep, and I don't wanna release without his consent.

Holy dam! this ROM is gorgeous and smooth, even without lockscreen notifications I would stay in this one but I'm having gosht touches :crying:
I'll try flashig some kernels to see if that solves it, I'll report back later. :fingers-crossed:
Hey people
Here's LiquidSmooth for gee (geeb users, pls, install the ROM then a geeb mod kernel. I recommend Jollaman999 GEEB mod with stock camera.

It's me who has to thank, your kernel is, imo, the best one around, so I went for it.
I know you are not a coder. But camera flash not working in dark scenes I don't think it's an LG behavior. It was working in older dirty unicorn that I remember. I think 8/24 version and older. But then they got focus issue again and now no roms seem to have flash working like this anymore since the new focus fixes.

It is indeed. Stock ROM doesn't turn on flash when focusing in the dark. Only the old gee cameras do (like in dirty unicorns).

Oh, I think I found my favorite ROM ^_^
Carbon is nice but what I miss in it is slim recents. This ROM has it plus many other cool features.
liquid smooth is perfect. Here's a better review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5kXYer7En4
I see there's a folder for optimus G in their official site. I think you can join the team and be Optimus g maintainer ^_^
I see. Old gee was working well I think in early August with focus and flash in the dark but then in updates to unicorn they focus went bad but flash worked. Then they fixed ficus bit flash went. Since this is still gee hopefully they can get it running again. Would that be a kernal issue?

There is no problem. Camera works as it should. Stock LG performance. If you wan a feature, that's something else. It is a kernel feature but it's not something a builder can help. Ask @jollaman999 for it. He's master of kernel tweaking.
P.S if you don't care about camera quality and only want that feature, you can try nexus4 ported kernels in JustinXu thread.
Thank you. Yes I care about both. So hopefully a good blend can be discovered. From my experience when the focus was working well pre picture flash really improved the picture especially on closeups. LG Optimus G camera never seemed to use the flash properly in actually stock roms but these new stock kernels are much better even without pre picture flash.

And my feed back to this ROM: awesome! It has whatever a custom ROM can have and more! I also tested crDroid. That's also nice but what brought me back to this ROM was the different floating mode by which you can have dual window as well. In other features they are pretty alike. Liquid smooth is really smooth. Thanks again for providing this.

Actually, I'm thinking over switching to crDroid. That's what you are doing with us: always dubious about which one to use They're all amazing. However, to have both CM improvements and the features here I will do this switch as I found that dual window not much useful. So, if There's going to be any update for crDroid too, please let me know. Are its sources updated?
Great rom loving the features and smoothness. Only issue I'm having is that there are no ringtones for anything alarm, text, phone. Maybe a bad flash?

you're right. No flashing problem.
Do you guys have the sound files in the appropriate folders in sdcard? I'm not using liquid right now, but I'll do a new build tomorrow and let's see how it works.
New build uploading. It will have ringtones problem fixed (for some reason, the first build didn't inclide the /system/media/audio folder :S).
I'll update OP in a minute.
Really enjoying this ROM thanks! Pretty smooth sailing this week minus the WiFi/Bluetooth bug that haunts me on all 4.4.4 gee builds. If I'm connected and move far away enough from source that WiFi/Bluetooth has to roam, they crash and become unresponsive until reboot. If I turn off before leaving source/pairing I'm OK.
Same issue I have been having also

Sorry, nothing I can do about that. Try Jollaman's new v11.1 kernel, but i don't think it fixes any bluetooth related issues.
I personally am not experiencing this
