Hi, Running marshmallow Resurrection Reminx dec 24 build, was just texting over whatsapp and locked the screen, when i came back, the phone just does not respond to anything! tried restarting by holding power button, but then it does not vibrate when trying to power on
tried charging for 30 minutes, nothing, connecting usb to pc i get no response from device or pc!
tried powering on holding power button and volume up button, nothing, tried also with volume down
tried connecting to pc holding volume buttons, nothing
im hoping i just have to wait for the battery to die? its weird because when i call i hear 5 or 6 rings (on my house phone not on device)
this was like 12 hours ago and i had 60 something % battery...

Dears, help me please!
I have my nexus 7 for 3 months. It was working pretty fine before... BUT... last thursday I left it charging overnight, I woke up turned the tablet alarme off and put it on a backpack to travel.
When I tried to turn it on the screen just did nothing!! The strange thing is: when I got mail it notifies me... the pulse light is active but the screen doesn't show.
I tried to charge it, hold the power button, hold the power + volume down buttons and nothing solved.
Anyone has/had the same problem?
I have the same problem. It happened a couple times already but I could not figure out why it happens. When I push the power button long enough it just restarts. It happens only when its laying around a couple hours like over night.
The tablet returned from the repair.
It seems like they changed the mainboard. Sadly there was something behind the camera glas and there were scratches on the screen. So they had to send it in again. Then they also changed the screen. All this took about 3 weeks.
I suggest claim for repair its definitely a hardware issue. Now my Nexus is running flawless and I am waiting for the Lollipop update.
You could also just try holding volume down + power for about 30 seconds. I've had a couple of freezes before where holding down the power button did nothing. But, holding down power + volume down worked. This is assuming you weren't flashing or doing something else, this is only if you were using the tablet as normal and it just suddenly won't turn on.
Hi,
I've looked around for days but haven't found a solution to my problem:
I was browsing on my Nexus 7 2013 when it suddenly turned off completely.
Since then, there is no indication that it is alive other than the computer chiming when the tablet is plugged to it.
About the tablet:
1.5 years old
Had >50% charge at the time
Ran CyanogenMod with KitKat for about 3 weeks
Things I've tried:
Charging for more than 5 hours, with two different chargers and cables
Pressing power button for 30 seconds
Pressing power + volume up buttons for 30 seconds
Pressing power + volume down buttons for 30 seconds
Pressing power + volume up + volume down buttons for 30 seconds
The above four items, right after plugging in the USB cable
Unplugging and re-plugging the battery (cracked the cover corners a little, sigh)
If I press any buttons long enough while tablet is connected to a PC, the PC chimes twice as if in recognition that the device was dis- and re-connected.
As I've run out of ideas, any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
... I take it no answer means I'm screwed?
I did a software update recently on my Z5 Premium Dual E6833, and when I look at it later it was off! I tried to turn it on, but it was unresponsive. No signs of life at all. Its completely dead. OFF button in SIM slot does nothing, even if I hold it for more than two minutes. No charging LED light when connected to wall charger. When I plug it to my PC, it was being detected as "Unknown Device". Tried loading some ADB driver but it was not accepting it. Tried few different chargers and cables as well. Also Volume Up + Power does nothing at all, same for Volume Down + Power...
Looks like it runs out of charge when it did a software update, it was still have more than 50% when I started the software update. ..
Can anyone guide me on what to do next? I am in the middle of the desert at the moment for the next three weeks, and no access to any local service center. Thank you in advance for any advice that you might have... :crying:
i am worried since you did the volume up + power button trick!
charge your device over night , hold the volumeup+ power button for atleast 15 seconds , the device must jerk thrice! remove fingers on second jerk . the device will shutdown . at this point connect device in flashmode and flash the kernel!
Thank you for your reply, appreciate it! I have tried that trick of holding the Volume Up + Power even up to 30 seconds, but for some unknown reason, it does not vibrate at all. I have tried it on numerous occasion but the vibration was not coming at all...
So basically as the title says: Z5 Premium was working, I unplugged it from charging to 100%, put it down for 15 minutes and when I picked it up black screen and no response to anything I know.
I tried turning it on obviously, holding power + volume up for 30 seconds, plugging it into USB on PC.
The only wierd thing other than this happening was 2 days ago it went black and non-responsive and I thought it was toast but then holding power + volume up worked even though it didn't seem to at first.
Software is rooted stock with TWR which I can't boot into.
Is there anything else I can do at this point or should I give away/sell for parts?
Cheers!
Yesterday i played till 6% then i charged the phone (11pm).
The phone was connected to the charger etc. But then it ran out of battery and swich off. I left the phone charging and i went to sleep. I woke up 5am And the phone still off (not charging at all).
I just see the whole time the red dot next to the right side of the selfie came flashing.
I tried to press on button for 30 sec. Nothing
I tried to press volume - and on button for 30 sec. Nothing. Same with volume + and on button. No results at all.
Tried another cable & charger same. No result.
