Hi guys,
my sister has problem with volume adjustment for ringtone and notifications after last Asus-Update.
She is not more able to adjust volume for ringtone and notifications separately. She has tried also with many different applications to adjust the volume separately, but its not more posible.
Do you know maybe what is the issue and is there maybe one workaround for it? She has the ASUS ZE551ML.
Thanks in advance and cheers

Hi
Is there any way to lock the volume control ?
I often find I adjust the volume control when using the HD and often even mute it without noticing, resulting in missed alarms etc.
The perfect setup would be so that the only place I can change the colume control is within a call. When the call is over the volume control should go back to what it was before and lock it.
Any apps that can do something similary to this ?
Thanks in advance....

Is there a programme available to lock the volume buttons. I also hit them accidentally and sometimes completely turn off the volume and miss calls.
Can anyone help us on this one?

1 + here to.
I find it strange that you always can change the volume. It should only be in one place. Changing the volume on talk you should be able to do during a call.
But you should not be able to mute the volume by misstake in for example in your pocket.
Strange...
It looks like in ICS it's no longer possible to uncouple notification volume from ringtone volume (i.e. modify notification volume w/o ringtone volume).
Is there a workaround I don't know about?
Does anyone know how to make the ring and notification volume the same without having to adjust both in the settings?
It's really annoying to have my ring volume turned down, only to get a really loud text message notification shortly after.
Download Quick Settings from the market, it has an option to link the Ringer and Notification volumes so they work together. I never understood why they weren't controlled together in the first place.
Worked great thanks.

Cool. Thanks!
Thanks for the help. This must be a samsung thing because all the HTC phones I owned had an option to link notification and ring volume.
Is there seriously no way of setting individual volume levels for the ringtone and the notifications in vanilla android?!
Click volume rocker and the last volume change slider will appear. Click the drop down arrow on right side of slider and you can change individual volumes.
Sorry misread. I don't believe there is a way to change notification and ring separately
Is there a way to do it without root?
I like my notification volume reasonably quiet without it impacting the ring volume.
Sound profile in play store works well
Hi any app to have different volume for Notification and ringtone?
There's an app called Volume Controls that will adjust the different volumes, but one you manually adjust the volume with the up or down buttons it resets itself. At least it used to when I used it on my N6. I really wish Google would make separate controls for notifications and the ringer. Samsung does it on their phones.
