Anyone else is missing the new 6.0.1 feature 'do not disturb ---- until next alarm'?. Coming from a 6P and it was there on the 6.0.1 update...
there is on mine. You need to set an alarm first
Like Red said, you need to have an alarm set first. AND... Any automatic "do no disturb" settings like, "every day from xx : xx to xx : xx" will override the "do not disturb until next alarm". So if you have the phone automatically do not disturb until 8am every day, but you need to wake up at 6am and set the do not disturb to until next alarm before your usual rules kick in... at 6am, do not disturb will not automatically turn off with the alarm. It'll stay on until 8am. Just FYI.
Thanks! Embarrassed, hehehe...

How do you set the LG G3 to silent with no vibrations,so only the alarm sounds?
I have tried " do not disturb" with prioroty for alarm, but it some times vibrates when a notification is received.
Thanks
Yeah I was wondering the same thing. Quiet mode is gone and Do Not Disturb - Priority Only resets when you toggle off Do Not Disturb. So you have to go into the setting every time before going to bed or else the alarm will not sound. Very annoying.
I don't believe there is a way with L

Sorry to do this, but using the stock clock app to set an alarm, the "do not disturb until next alarm" doesn't turn off after the alarm sounds and is then turned off.
It's not the end of the world as I can still manually deactivate it, but it seems like it would be a nice feature if working properly. I've already wiped the system cache in recovery, but if hate to do a factory reset just to get it back.
So anyone else noticing it not working?
Disregard....
My automatic rules were overriding the "until next alarm"
I just upgraded to Marshmallow. I can't find in "Do Not Disturb" End Time="when downtime ends". Am I missing something?

sounds & notifications/do not disturb/end time
You have to have do not disturb turned on to change the settings.
It's turned on. But "when downtime ends" is not there. I ended up using Tasker to implement automatic "Do Not Disturb" on/off. I wish I didn't have to do that

It's awful isn't it. I've asked a question on here about it as this can't be the best way to do it. There doesn't seem to be an easy way to switch between priority and totally silent like there was before.
I have a standing downtime which is priority only from 11pm to 8am. This didn't turn on last night after mm upgrade however it was still showing as scheduled. I changed it to 7am finish and it started. I changed it back to 8am and it was still on. It auto turned off this morning as planned and it's still showing in my schedule. I'll see if it auto turns on tonight and then check tomorrow morning if it's still showing in the schedule and let you know.
"Silent mode" in Miui triggers "do not disturb" on smart watch???
Hello all,
I use a Huawei Smart watch with my brand new Mi Max Helium phone - which has the most recent global Miui rom installed.
I prefer to receive vibrating alerts on my watch - with no sound on the phone.
On my other phones I select "silent" mode on the phone and the watch (as well as the phone) vibrate when calls come in.
On the Mi Max the moment I select "silent", the watch goes in "Do not disturb" mode and no vibrations are delivered...
It also works in the reverse: if I select "do not disturb" on the watch, "silent" mode is activated on the phone.
So somehow those two toggles are mixed up as the "do not disturb" on the watch should be linked to DND on the phone
Is there any fix for this?
Thank you for any suggestions
Update: this is apparently a know issue - and there seems to be no clear fix. My smart watch has to work - so time now to explore alternative roms...

Is there a solution for this problem now? On Pure Nexus I had no problem, but back on Global Miui there is the problem with the DND Mode on the Smartwatch, if I switch to silent in Miui.
Looking for an application for Gear S3 that can put phone and watch on silent/Mute quickly.
Preferably an application that can also be set watch and phone on silent for a period of time and then automatically activate the volume again on both devices.
Not 100 percent sure, but think maybe bixby routines.. but when you use do not disturb, you can choose for how long, and then it enables sound after that time.
Maybe not quickly but automatically, You can do this with the "Do Not Disturb" functionality. You set the time to start & stop & it will mute both your phone & watch.
You can also allow exceptions like an alarm or calls from specific contacts.

Agree, "Do Not Disturb" is what I use for similar actions...
