I am new to the xda forums and was very excited about creating my own widgets. I have to thank Brandon for dropping me an e-mail to let me know I am welcome here and things are going on.
Unfortunately I joined after purchasing Zooper Widget and have discovered since to my dismay it is now unsupported. I have created a few widgets one a weather widget where the temperature is incorrect by at least 15 degrees if not more. My e-mails I send out depending on time and date from my calendar have times and dates that are at least 12 hours wrong it is like it has my correct location and time for display, but when sent it adds a half day so it must have me in another time zone.
I am disappointed in Zooper Widget, but that is nothing to do with this community obviously, but I am hoping to get feedback before I purchase another widget builder. I have noticed talk about KWLP and also Buzz Widget. What are your thoughts and opinions on these and or any other Widget creator you might suggest.
I thank you all for your feedback and look forward to hearing your thoughts.

I'm running Fresh 3.1.0.2 on my EVO, and I'd like to know if there a way to show more than one appointment on a single day, or for that matter two appointments on sequential days on the calendar that appears as a result of the Scenes - Work configuration. I understand real estate is limited, but I would expect some indicator of multiple appointments. My screen only shows the first of two appointments. Am I missing something. Thanks
If you're talking about the default calendar widget from Android, then no. You can however go get a different widget from the Market. Might I recommend "Agenda Widget"?
I've had my Desire for some time already and although I love it there's something that really bothers me and it's the 4x1 calendar widget. I find it the best for the main home screen but it's just useless. Most of the time it doesn't show the event that should be showing and it shows something later in time (it doesn't confuse the date, it just misses what's in between).
I've managed to get it back to normal several times after restarting the phone and/or resetting the application but it either takes very long or I can't remember the sequence of things to do to make it work again. It's a pain in the ass.
I've seen other open threads about problems with that widget but most of them are quite old and without real solutions. Of the proposed alternatives I found all of them quite ugly, frankly.
Is there a solution to the built-in problem or a widget that looks similar?

I have just jumped ship from Smooth Calendar to Small Agenda Widget. In 4x1 it just beats Smooth by showing 4 lines not 3.
Jorte has every size of widget you can imagine.
Thanks, guys! I think I'll go for Smooth Calendar. With the HTC-style mod that is around there it looks quite similar to the default one and reasonably decent-looking. Let's see if HTC brings something out to improve it.
Hey guys,
I have finally decided to make the switch to Android with this phone, however I do have a question I was hoping to answer before I switch...
One of the features I missed on my Iphone was being able to turn on my phone and have the homescreen display my outlook calendar and to do list(windows phone). I have tried doing some research and some hands on the Verizon store so I know about widgets...although the ones on the droidx I played with were very small.
So my question is...can I set my homescreen to give me half the screen worth of outlook events/tasks and then move everything else to other pages? Sorry if this is a repeat/stupid question but I appreciate the help!
The calendar app has a widget which will show your calendar apps, you can sync to outlook via various means including exchange activesync for your e-mail.
You also can download a app like Jorte it has several different widgets sizes like. 1/4, 2/4, 3/4, 4/4 of the screen size.
I use Launcher Pro Plus. Great widgets (calendar, agenda, facebook, tweeter, etc). I hope app will get updated for ICS
Also the CalenGoo app has tonnes of different size widgets for all your needs!

this looks like it will work great!
soon as I switch there will be no more excuses why I forgot to do something!
you can also install widget locker and display all of this on your lock screen (the initial screen you see when you turn the screen on)
Haha as you see there are many ways to do things on Android. +1 for Possibility.
you can do almost anything on android. super customizable! That's the beauty of Android.
Jorte can do this
There is also an app called Pure that is a highly customizable widget for your ToDo app of choice and Calendar, and looks much better IMHO. Jorte is the best calendar I've seen and that's what I use as an app, but with Pure you can skin the widget (I like highly transparent) and set all sorts of options so it looks perfect on the home screen...
So yes, the beauty of Android is you have TONS of options to do what you are looking for... Granted I haven't used an iPhone before, but I venture to guess you'll have many more options than you have now.
Hello, I wonder if there's possible to make a line graph with Zooper Widget Pro?
I trust the yr.no weather and would like this graph yr.no/sted/Sverige/Norrbotten/Lule%C3%A5/time_for_time.html
I know there's a widget itself for this but it simply just grabs the image itself and I can't customize it at all.
So I wonder if there's possible to somehow build weather graph in Zooper?

I don't know what you're thinking of making exactly, but this is a weather widget with graps I made a couple of months ago.
For me the only weather provider available in Zooper that works well with my widget is the default, Open Weather Map.
With Yr.no I mostly get strange readings and with Yahoo I get less weather data.
In the attachments you can see the data I get for your location with the three weather providers available in Zooper.

Woa that looks sweet!
I thought mostly about a line graph that shows the weather for the next 24 or 48 hours.
Not have to be line graph, those bars you've looks great, but it would be nice if it's possible to get out every hour of the weather change in a full day atleast.

Correct. Zooper doesn't pull the data for hourly forecasts. There is always Tasker as an option to get the data but I don't know if someone already tried to implement an "alternative" weather data provider that way.
I know I'm way late to this thread, but I'm just getting started with Zooper Pro. Right now, I'm only interested in making weather widgets. I'm hoping Mokum020 can answer a question for me about the wind rose. How exactly is that implemented? The widget in post #2 is simply stunning. If you didn't mind, could you post the .zw file you used so I could learn from it. Thanks in advance for any help.

Tasker can definitely pull it and parse it. Either from a weather data site or using the AutoApp plugin AutoWeather, which is still in alpha but seems to work pretty well.
So, lets say Tasker passes hourly data to Tasker to build a line graph of hourly weather. I think it can ABSOLUTELY be done, technically lol, but first you'd have to work with some rectangles scaled down to lines and a whooole bunch of math.
In Zooper every aspect of those 'lines' can be controlled via Advanced Parameters. So width, rotation angle, x/y etc. The issue is that you'd have to employ some fairly advanced mathematics to get the lines into a proper graph. Whether that math gets done in Zooper based on the Tasker data, OR, the math gets done in Tasker and just all piped over to Zooper, I believe it's doable but again the math would be time consuming aspect.
Not nuclear physics, but a lot of equations and trial and error. As working with Zooper variables and math is akin to cryptography sometimes, I'd be in favor of doing the math all in Tasker and then doing a data dump to Zooper just to spin and lengthen (or shorten) the lines to display/build the graph.
Thank you very much. I'm an old hand at Android, but very new to Zooper.

Hey guys,
I got Pixel 2XL hoping for the at a glance feature to work. I work in aviation and I need to check my calendar every single day to see what time I have my report and where I'm going to. Since my roster is on my calendar I was expecting it to show in at a glance but it doesn't. My at a glance it's only date and weather.. never changes for appointments or flights that I have on my Google Calendar.
How can I fix it ? I've added 2 screenshots to show, I'm on my off day today and it's an event all day, so at glance should say day off right ? When I'm working doesn't change also... Basically it's always always just time and weather displaying on mine.
There's any way I can fix it ?
Thanks a lot for your help in advance
do the events all include a notification? If not, they will never show in at a glance.
also, make sure they are enabled.
