Funny because I just used this a few days ago and it worked fine.

That's because they restore access to it later if you read further into the comments section.

No data connection with T-Mobile

I switched to Espresso about 3 days ago from an HD2. On first boot everything seemed to work, but after about an hour of use my internet stopped working. I tried hard resets, nothing worked. I went back to the HD2 just to make sure it wasn't something that had gone wrong with my account and internet worked fine on the HD2. So I switched back. Now I am still without a data connection, have no idea where to even start because this is my first android device. Help?

You need to call tmobile and tell them that you need to change your web plan to the android plan.

Getting message to pay for tethering after root

I reverted to 2.2 last night and installed Cyanogen 7.1. When I go to tether my phone to my ipad, I get a redirect from t mobile asking me to sign up for a data plan. I was getting this message before, which is what drove me to rooting this device as I had kept it stock up until then.
After a bit of searching all morning I haven't found any solutions aside from giving them 15 bucks every month. Do I have any alternatives? I've tried using other tethering tools such as Barnacle and Wireless tethering for root users to no avail.
Thanks,
I was getting it as well on other ROMs. Changing the user agent of the browser fixed it for me.
Use barnacle wifi tether and have never had any problems

I have never touched any root settings nor using any third party apps yet I have never gotten that either.
ROMs that I used:
stock GB (c.a May 2011- Jan 2012)
Icecream JIBwich 1.2, 1.3, 2.0 (c.a Jan 2012-April 2012)
Adromadus Audacity Beta 2.0 (now)
Sorry I can't help with Cyanogen 7, but if you flashed AAB2, you could both enjoy ICS and simple tethering solution
As far as usability of AAB2 in concern, AAB2 doesn't have a properly working camcorder, have no FM and have a few glitches but is rather more sufficient for daily use.

Verizon GN Wi-fi Hotspot Problems Stock Non-Rooted

I've been searching around and I don't see anyone else having this problem. I have kept my galaxy nexus stock since I purchased it the day it came out. I started paying for tethering this week and I've been having a huge problem with it.
When I enable the wi-fi hotspot for the first time it works excellently. I get amazing 20Mbs down and everything is rainbows an ponies. If I then disable it and enable it again I am able to connect to the hotspot just fine but I get no internet connection.
I'm starting to think it's possible I have a defective device and might need to get it swapped out. I've seen a few blog posts that seem to mention issues with the Verizon nexus wi-fi hotspot but no real fourm activity regarding it.
My other option is to wait for the Jelly Bean update and see if anything gets better. Or rooting and seeing if it happens to work. I'd rather root for fun though not to get something I'm paying out the ass for to work.
Thanks for any help

[Q] Tethering Options for One VX

Hi to everyone.
I would like to know how to tether with this phone. I have the phone rooted already and tried a couple of third party apps but none seem to work. Tried PDA(Foxfi) when not rooted did not worked and then rooted the phone and tries Wifi Tether and none of the profiles or combinations of options seem to work for this phone. I really spent quite some time fooling a round with different options to no avail. I haven't tried flashing any roms because their seems not to be to much development going on for this unit. The other reason is I need this phone to work 100% percent because this is my work's phone. I have an unlimited data account with AT&T and use to have a Sony experia TL and everything worked great until they changed my phone at work. Now I am stuck with this phone with no tethering. Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks
I got tethering to work with this app codegooglecom/p/android-wifi-tether/ which I think you mentioned above. You just have to go to Settings>change device profile> and scroll down until you see HTC Rezound (LTE/CDMA/gsm). Restart the app and it should work. Edit:I forgot to mention that I am on JMZTotemC2 v3 ROM so it might not work for you on stock, but I don't see why it wouldn't
If that doest here is a universal method that works for all devices

problems staying connected to make calls/sms

I got my note 4 Thursday and rooted Friday night using the Tmobile auto root. Since then I am having problems making and receiving sms and calls. I am connected to wifi with no problems and can use regular data with no problems. I have AdBlocker Plus installed and thought that was the problem as I was also having the problem before I rooted. I have disabled ABP and still have the problem. Any ideas? I need my phone to actually work

Are any of you on "spark"? I'm not rooted and I've missed a call and a few texts I've sent haven't gone through. Just got phone yesterday. My neighbor is on the s5 and has same issues with spark. Not rooted. Just curious.

what is "spark"? I wasn't having any problems with my note 2 prior to this. Since I did something to fix it this morning, I haven't had the problem. I have no idea if it's resolved or if whatever I did was just temporary. I've called from my other phone several times and have been getting texts since.
