Why I amn't able to update to 5.1.1 ? - One (M9) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys I need your help.
I have M9 and first time I had installed unlocked/developer version of firmware 1.32.617.30 and performed full installation of insertcoin ROM ICE 3.1.2 and it installed successfully but didn't boot . It was stucked on starting apps screen then it rebooted and continiued optimizing apps from 0 to 158 and repeated this cycle all the time . Then I installed firmware 2.10.401.1 (read that it was based on latest firmware ) but the resuilt was the same . Now I have installed lollipop 5.0.2 Insertcoin 2.1.6 and it works well but why amn't I able to update it to 5.1.1 ? am I doing something wrong ? I also tried to install Android Revolution HD rom, and other 5.1.1 based roms but problem still remains.

Unable to install the latest updates for HTC one M8 (Software update: 4.19.118.3)

Hello,
i have been un-rooted my HTCone M8 since 6 months and i flashed the lollipop 5.1 downloaded from one of your forum based on advice from an expert, and currently it gives me notification about a software update: 4.19.118.3 (128.18 MB), after the download finished, i restarted the phone, at this point the phone took me to the flash screen TWRP and warm me that it cannot flash the updates.
please can anyone help me to solve this issue, because i stopped the update notification but the phone still continue warming that.
thank you,
OTA can't be installed with TWRP .. it needs 4.19.118.2 stock recovery.img and pure non-rooted 4.19.118.2 ROM then you can OTA to 4.19.118.3
You can get the stock recovery and how-to here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/tutorial-how-to-stock-stock-twrp-t3086860
Hi,
You must first flash stock recovery. OTA updates can not be flashed with custom recoveries.

installing revolution HD w/ twrp?

hi guys - so i tried to install the revolution rom on my recently unlocked m9 and it'd only boot to the bootloader or download.
i found some threads back from 2012 that said twrp wouldn't install the rev rom, but suspect it's out of date - it seemed to work fine.
is there some magic here? i tried to flash my firmware to the version matching the rom (3.35.401.12) and got a code 10 failure in adb. my current firmware is 3.10.605.7. doesn't flashing the rom update the firmware too? or do i need to successfully flash the rom prior?
should i use a different recovery? twrp launched the rev aroma installer and all seemed to go perfectly smoothly... no problems came up until reboot brought me right back to bootloader.
the aroma install says it might boot loop a couple times, but i booted to bootloader 5+ times before giving up and going back to a deodexed stock vzw rom.
any help is greatly appreciated - i'm hoping to get up to marshmallow before calling it good enough and moving on.
Flashing the rom doesnt update the firmware. S-on makes sure of that.
You must be on the base firmware for the rom to take. You need the vzw marshmallow ota update before you can flash a marshmallow based rom.

Need the stock recovery from 6.0.1

Hi All
It seems like the Android on my A1 got corrupted somehow. First the Recovery got corrupted and then the OS. it simply does not end the boot animation.
The solution I wish to try.
I have flashed the stock recovery but that is from the version 4.4.4 and it does not let me install updates
I wish to install the patches from April and May and see if the phone boots after that.
Stock recovery does not allow me to do that as it thinks it is till in 4.4.4.
WOw that is not an great issue buddy , You might have flash some wrong ROM I hope.Find any Official Lolipop or Marshmallow Version for your handset (Not OTA updates, Official Stock ROM) and flash that using flashtool.First boot can take upto 20-30 minutes. So be patient and if problem resolves grab me beer buddy I will mail you the Official lollipop Stock Rom link.
Thanks .. problem I hope is solved right now .. flashed the Lolipop using the sp flash tool and now updating it to marshmellow
Can anyone provide me stock recovery of marshmallow build no. is MOB30N June patch...plz its urgent

Need help updating from Android 5.0.2 to 7

S-ON Rooted device is on 5.0.2 on Android Revolution HD 5.0 with TWRP version 2.8.6.4
want to update to the newest version of the Viper Rom since it is on Android 7. What steps do I need to take to get it to successfully flash?

Flash back to stock and take the ota updates is the easiest way.
