I've just received my G4 (H815P, with H815p10b-BRA-XXX firmware) and I cannot activate any non-stock keyboards, such as Swiftkey, Google Keyboard, etc.
The apps install normally, but when I try to activate on the "Keyboards and Language" settings menu, it doesn't hold.
Has anyone had this problem? Is there anything you think I should do?
Thanks!
There was an FW update pending. After installing it, it work.s Sorry!

Hi friends i tried to flashed s5 keyboard from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=51983340 here. After flashing i m unable to use keyboard. Its showing "Unfortunately Samsung Keyboard Stopped". What should i do to go back on stock keyboard???
edit: I m using stock firmware
Is it just the samsung keyboard? DId you try to install another keyboard from the playstore and try to use it? What version of Android is your phone? Also, try go to Settings > Apps > All apps and look for the samsusng keyboard and clear data.
In trying to fix a connectivity issue with my school wifi, I did a factory reset in TWRP (after making a backup). Upon completing the reset and restore, many functions have stopped working. Most apparent:
-Home key now only functions as lock (screen off/on) switch, and no longer returns to home screen (I'm using Nova Launcher), long press does not bring up recent apps (and using xposed to reassign menu button to recent apps makes that button do nothing as well.)
-Settings button in notification panel does nothing
-paid apps not downloading from play store (none work any longer)
-general difficulty accessing/implementing account data from google apps
I still have root, and those apps are all working fine, but paid features such as Nova Launcher Prime aren't working. When I checked the play store, I got a an error "-24" if I tried to reinstall that app. Based on online recommendations, I uninstalled Play Store updates and cleared the cache, rebooted, and now play store won't even load my apps list and closes due to an unexpected error. Does anybody have any ideas? Could reflashing the firmware help? I feel like there are probably other problems waiting for me to discover.
Thank you so much in advance
Okay, so I tried reflashing the NI1 firmware via odin, which at least fixed my ability to run Play Store, but didn't fix any of my initial problems.
Okay, I got it. The problems were all related to a corrupted Nova install, which was hard to find due to a similarly corrupted Super SU. I have no clue how the settings /notification panel bug came about. I will probably find new problems with other apps, but I am okay now.
Hi! I have a LG G3 and a googlequicksearchbox or "Google" "Google Search" version 5.7.14.19 (yes a beta) and dont see anything in the search phone menu, is totally blank... when try search any app in the phone dont give me nothing.
I try delete chache, data, reinstall, installl a no beta version, and the problem still here, I frozen a lot of system app (bloatware mostly)
Any ideas how can resolve this problem?
Thanks!
Are u on stock?
stock but with root, android 5.0

I'm confused about updating stock apps on my S8+. When I go to APKmirror, I can see that newer versions of apps are available like Messages, Camera, Bixby, etc... But my phone doesn't update to them. If I download the APKs and try manually installing them, I get error messages that it didn't work. I'm still under warranty for the phone with T-Mobile so I haven't rooted it and everything is stock aside from basic customizations.
What am I missing? Is there a way to force updates? Maybe a companion app that will do it for me?
Installed OTA, then re-rooted with magisk patch, as usual.. But "Recent Apps" functionality seems lost, no setting can get it working (swapping the buttons, changing to gestures..)
Anyone encountered / overcame such an issue? Can I even roll back?
BE83BA variant.
Thanks!

I know this functionality is linked with the stock launcher. Maybe you can get that updated or rolled back. Maybe uninstall it from ADB and install it from Play Store?

I don't even remember what it was called
Indeed I didn't have OnePlus Launcher, perhaps removed it with root tools.. But installing it from store didn't help.
Thanks for the reply though!
actually, this was an app I might have de-bloated
3 Button Navigation Bar
restored it, ok now
