Most stable rom version for galaxy nexus? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hi I'm new to this and flashed the latest cyanogenmod 5.1 to my android looking to upgrade the old girl. I'm not happy with the performance though. WIFI doesn't work at distance and it seems to hang when connecting to wifi and data.
What's a good stable rom? or should I just go back to the old one?

[Q] which rom. help please

I have a rooted n5110 4.2.2 note 8.0
first of all I'm not a noob. However I have been spoiled. Up till nowi have had Motorola decices that have great apps like rom manager and team black hat leaks to help you decide what roms to flash.
I'm at a loss when it comes to all the options in this forum. I see some roms based on 4.2.2; 4.3 and isn't CM 11.0 based on 4.4? If I flash a 4.3 rom and dont like it cani flash a 4.2 rom or restore a backup to get 4.2.2 back? That was a big no no wirh moto devices. Once you upgraded you had to stay less you got a hold of the spf file.
Ive looked into both PAC rom and CM rom: the stable and nightly versions of both. I know nightlies may be unstable so I would stay away from them less it is easy to flash back to a 4.2.2 stable release. And downloaded the right gapps package. Why cant developers just included that in the roms?
So a bit of help please. What are the differences between the 4.2.2; 4.3 and is CM 11 based on 4.0?
I also use twrp as a recovery but have used cwm in the past. I habe both onmy sdcard in case of trouble.
any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Come on....anybody?

Hmmm, what (customized) Rom version are you using? I still have two DI2 - retired from CDMA duties but running GSM on Sense-based GB ROM and they are working nicely for our needs. One is on T-Mo USA network and the other is on AT&T network.
Have you tried a different GSM ROM at all? Some of the newer 4.x ROM are nice & cool but not ready as a daily, IMO.

Actually i'm using Pac-Rom 4.2.2 from chilly, the thread says that 4.2.2 are suitable for daily use, the phone is working nice but i dont have signal bars (i can recieve and make calls, send and recieve messeges) i tried some patch and other GSM tweaks, using the Stock (or any Stock Based Rom) is working completely fine but i cant stand Sense even the 4.0.4 leaked Rom works fine i haven´t tried another ICS Rom.
another detail using the *#*#4636#*#* menu the radio turns on and off if i try to set the APN.
thread of the Rom. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2049902
Both VZW and HTC dropped the balls in supporting the Incredible 2, leaving it behind the times in GingerBread land, and some of the most active & best XDA-developers have since moved onto other devices for their primary daily use.
We are no longer on VZW or CDMA and switched to Nexus 5's running latest KitKat - but, since we still got two DI2 in relatively near new conditions, I continue to play around with them with GSM carriers.
There are a few stable & solid 4.x custom/ported rom that run nicely on DI2 and they are a good match for GSM services - the newest ones released recently/this month are in alpha/beta stages and not solid/stable enough. If you are having issues with yours, I suggest switching to & trying a different one instead - there's nothing wrong with Sense Rom and if it works, that's all that matter for me.
Try this one, works for me - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2291476

Not that I know of & I certainly don't recall discussions about it, way ahead of its time or arrival then in 2011-2012. Maybe the Jelly Bean ones could - to play with Xposed, I run back to our Nexus 5 and they are great for customization on our custom Rom.

[Q] Need advice RE: KitKat ROM for Galaxy Ace 2 GT-i8160

Sorry if this has been asked many times in the past, but I cannot find anyone asking recently...
My girlfriend has the official jellybean 4.1.2 installed on her UK Ace 2 GT-i8160, but it often freezes up or lags when doing simple tasks... she was thinking of getting me to downgrade it back to gingerbread, but I wondered if getting one of the kitkat roms would be better?
The requirements are simple.... the most stable and reliable kitkat rom for a UK Ace 2 GT-i8160.
I've been reading and searching the forums for the last couple hours... but I just keep getting more and more confused.
Can anyone help?
EDIT/UPDATE:
CM11 looks like it's the most worked on mod, but I'm confused as to why there are so many 'stable' and 'fully working' releases, when the next update lists a few fixes... so it obviously wasn't 'fully working'? :S
Is the last version of 4.4.3 more stable than the latest 4.4.4? or perhaps a lower version than that?
Or perhaps CM10.2 would be better? - as I stated above, I just want the phone to be as stable and reliable as possible... the official jellybean rom is a joke, and gingerbread wasn't much better.
No replies, but ok...
I've spent about 10 hours reading threads about different roms, but it would have been nice if someone could have pointed me in the right direction to save some of that time. If anyone else is wanting the most stable custom ROM for their Ace 2, go for 4.3.1 TeamCanjica CyanogenMod 10.2.
I've just installed it and it works like a dream so far... like getting a brand new phone
Doesn't even need to be rooted, very simple to install through the standard recovery menu.

Most stable KitKat ROM for Ace 2 is AOSP ROM. No Custom ROM can beat its stability....

[Q] Want to convert my old Tmo GS2 into ONLY a WiFi Hotspot

Howdy folks,
I'd like to turn this phone into a WiFi hotspot for my house- and that is ALL I will be using it for.. so my most important needs are reliability (up-time) and rock-solid WiFi tethering performance. Currently the phone is running:
Android Version: 4.0.3
Baseband version: T989UVLE1
Build Number: IML74K.UVLE1
I do not think it is rooted, I think I just ODIN'd it to the latest Stock ROM available at the time when back when my girlfriend was using it. My first thought was to just find the latest stock ROM (if any) and ODIN to that, then find a reliable root method to flash a good recovery like TWRP, etc... then put the most stable ROM I can find that has reliable tethering... Do you guys have any guides that you can point me to? And any ROM, recovery, etc recommendations for me? Thanks in advance!!! :good: :highfive:

Looking for a newer faster ROM

Hi all,
I looking to upgrade my N5X's OS to something newer and hopefully faster.
Any recommendations? Or should I just factory reset and change kernel?
Best,
MoRoses
Wait Android 10.
