Hi Guys I have the mentioned phone with 4gb-64gb and was CN which I transform to WW.... (2.3GHZ CPU)
which custom roms can I install from this thread?
* is it depended if it is CN or WW ,,what about mine which has been changed?
* is it CPU depended or all roms are for both CPU's 1.8 or 2.3?
thank you!!!
I would imagine that since you flashed WW firmware you would use a ROM built for a WW zenfone. Also since it is a 4gb/64gb model it would have the 2.3 GHz processor.

Hi guys,
I have recently upgraded from D855 2gb to D855 3gb device. Are they identical and can i use the rom built for 2gb rom on 3gb? I am already on lollipop and not rooted so will the process of downgrading to 4.4 , rooting and then installing custom rom (lollipop) work?
I am on v20b and its causing a lot of battery drain. Is this version buggy?

V20F is the latest official rom and has some patches and optimisations. For customs roms there is no difference wether you flash it on the 2 or 3GB ram device. It does matter for stock roms though afaik since there are 16 and 32GB rom versions.

Some custom roms have different versions for 3gb and 2gb models(liquidsmooth) as well as custom kernel built with sm4.8/4.9.

Yeah CM12 has one version. Rocking stock too love it!
I just recently bought my zenfone 2 from amazon. Ze551ml 2GB/16GB version. I was updating it using the phone's check update but I got lazy because it updates it version by version and not to the latest one. So I downloaded the latest firmware on the support site of asus with the latest one at the size of 1GB. What I'm asking is if I updatesd correctly by updating it to the latest firmware straight away?
PS My phone seems to work fine but does the ZF2 really consume more then 1gb of ram with no apps open? Oh, and I haven't rooted it yet.
Yes
Hello
I have an lg g4 h815 eu. My bootloader is unlocked and i have root. I was trying some other kernels. Is there one that support hotplug so the cores go offline when not needed? I only saw it on cm13 with a custom kernel.....but on stock rom i dont see it.....thanks

Hello everyone.
My friend owns an Asus Zenfone 2 ze551ml and he would like to flash a custom rom (AICP) but he's still running Lollipop stock and, since AICP requires MM blobs, he was wondering if he had to upgrade to MM and then unlock the bootloader etc or if it was possible to flash MM bootloader while using Lollipop.
Also, sorry for the bad title but I couldn't think of a better one, hope you understand.

Hello everyone,
My cousin has Zenfone 2 ZE551ML (the variant with 1.8Ghz and 4 GB RAM) and he wants to go back to stock MM ROM. My questions are:
1. Is any ROM from Asus website safe to flash with Asus Flash Tool? Or do I need a specific ROM for it to work? If I need a specific ROM, can someone give me a link to a MM ROM that's good for flashing?
2. Does ZE551ML with 1.8Ghz use the same firmware as 2.3Ghz? (it's the same model so it should, but I just wanna make sure)
Thank you in advance.
Try this tool : https://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/tool-ze551mlmodder-t3458145
This one perfectly worked well for me back then : https://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/wwze551ml2-20-40-19420160713-raw-t3437416

I went back to Lollipop via the second link and then updated to MM from there.
There is no separate firmware as far as I know, I haven't seen any so yeah its the same for both there.
