Hello everyone I am new here. Just bought my desired Desire yesterday.
I think there is something wrong with the HTC calendar widget. I have 3 all day events: on the 16th, 17th and 18th and the smallest widget on the homescreen shows the one from the 17th not the 16th... what am I doing wrong?
Thank you,
BTW can you not love this phone?
Can someone try it on their device and tell me if it screws up the order too?

Did you ever fix this problem? I'm having a similar issue in that I have an event on the 24th, and one from the 25th to the 11th, and for a while it was showing the one on the 24th, but now it shows the one starting on the 25th. Apparently there's other calendar widgets on the market so I might try one of those instead.

I have this very seldomly. Workaround for me: Uncheck the appointment as "all day appointment". Save. Enter Calendar again and mark it as "all day". Like i said it only happened a few times but this one helped.

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked and actually neither of my events were 'all day' anyway. The later one spans multiple days but has a defined start and end time. I tried making it 'all day' and changing it back but it didn't have an effect. Hopefully after these events pass it'll sort itself out. And in any case I might try the Pure Calendar widget (though since it isn't free I'll need to work out how to pay for stuff on market, it'll probably be obvious - they don't tend to make it difficult for you to part with your cash ).
Hi,
I can confirm this annoying behavior, and that the suggested solution works in most cases. I had to delete and re-create the event a few times to get it to work though.
Maybe this should be reported to the HTC Sense team as a bug report? Does anyone know the procedure to do this?
Best wishes,
Tobias
Try Gemini calendar and its own widget. It is free on the market.

Hi,
does anyone know if this is fixed in Froyo, or could anyone check it out?
Unfortunately, the issue also seems to happen on events that are not spanning multiple days at all and that is really annoying, so that the widget becomes kind of unusable.
Thanks!
Is it possible to verbally schedule or put in appointments through Google now. I know that I can make alarms, but I need to put in appointments into my calendar. Every time I turn on now and say' schedule meetings appointment for tomorrow at 7 pm'' but it just does a Google search. Also is there a Google now guide or user guide I can look through for all the different commands.
+1
I was wondering the same thing.. If someone could tell us if this is possible, it would be appreciated
Thanks!

I believe it's there when you set an event in your calender's.
Also you must be sure your event are on same account.
for example you are using [email protected] on you google now and calender.
then that event should show up in google now.
hope that helps.

Nope, my accounts are the same on NOW and calendar... yes, if i schedule a meeting in calendar it shows up in NOW, but not vice versa... I have the same issue as OP with trying to verbally schedule a meeting in NOW. Pretty much anything I say in NOW just does a gsearch...
It's been a while since I set it up, but you have to go to your calendar on the web and somewhere in settings there is a checkbox for events. Then you can send your calendar a voice text and it creates the appointment

Add Calendar entries: To add calendar entries, you first need to log on to your Google Calendar account at calendar.google.com Then click on the gear icon and “Calendar Settings.” From there, click on the “Mobile Setup” tab and follow the on-screen instructions. After you have entered the verification code sent to your phone, create a phone contact named “Calendar” and set its phone number as “48368.” Once that is done, you can use Voice Actions to create calendar items using the following format: Send text to calendar [event name] on [day] at [time]. For example: Send text to calendar “dentist appointment” on Friday at 11 AM. You will receive a text message confirming the addition of a calendar item if successful.

Sounds like a lot to do just to add a simple calendar entry especially in this day and age.
This is retarded. I can't schedule an appointment verbally. I tried it on my friends s3 with voice and it did it right on the first time. Its embarrassing.
Google now is great... But this issue get me down. It's plain simple, but the Gnow doesn't do this.
Other thing that I've noticed: if you ask, for example, "who is the president of united states" it answers correctly: Barak Obama. But if I ask: "who is Barak Obama?" that little thing show me web results only. Isn't that weird?
I just use S-Voice to set appointments, Google for everything else. S-Voice works well for setting calendar entries. I just say "Appointment tomorrow at noon, pick up Jessica", and it sets a calander event for 12-1p titled "pick up Jessica". It gets it right about 90% of the time.
"When is my next meeting?" opens web search. It should show when, what and where is your next appointment...

From Svoice, just say "What's on my calendar" to get your upcoming events or appointments. Worked for me. It even told me of the upcoming phases of the moon, if you have it enabled in calender.

You may thank Apple for the loss (hopefully temporary) of "unified search". It is part of the current patent litigation in California. 4.01 and newer wiped that out. If your friend's S3 still does that the carrier just hasn't disabled it yet. Unlocked S3s got disabled directly by Samsung recently as well.
I understand what you're saying, but I think it has to do with your former question having only one definitive answer - while the latter question could technically have unlimited answers.

S-Voice is such a blatant copy of Siri, it should be deactivated on all Sam**** devices. Google Now at least works in a different and innovative way (being location aware and all).
All you have to do is say, "calendar (event) on (date) at (time)... And your good to go

"When is my next meeting?" works now :victory:
They recently updated the Google Search app. It added the feature to add meetings to your calendar and check what your next appointment is (as well as open apps). However, I have had on & off luck with it actually scheduling appointments.
I once said: "schedule appointment for tomorrow at 7 pm for [event name]". It properly recognized what I said (the text appeared correctly), but it added the appointment on my calendar for two days later at 9 am...
I'll try the phrase mentioned above starting with "calendar..."

Last night I had second occurrence of a problem.
I noticed my widget had a blank document. I opened the document and got error "cannot read from file system... trouble ahead" and a blank page.
Which is no big deal except when I exited LN it saved the document WITH THE PAGE BLANK. Ack! /whine - my main to-do list!
Do you have any suggestion or, would it be possible when an error like this occurs to have the option to NOT save when exiting? In 6 months of using LN it has happened twice.
Thank you so much for excellent product, can't live without it, and your continuing work and awesome support of the app.

Hi guys
I've started using Google calendar as this has replaced my Sony calendar on my Z3 Compact and I like making amendments on PC and syncing the changes.
I have used http://www.guff.co/get-the-euro-2016-fixtures-on-your-calendar/ to add to the calendar which has worked great as it saves me manually typing it in.
Now my issue is that I've set the notifications to remind me that a match is on 30 min before game start but it doesn't seem to work. I've tested with a fake event and it does alert me via led and sound so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong...
Maybe it's the setting from the site guff, any insight would be useful as I'm looking to incorporate other sporting events!
Thanks
