Zenfone-2 or ZUK-Z1 ??

Need to buy a decent Dual Sim phone asap - have narrowed it down to either the Zenfone or the new ZUK...
They are both quite similar in price and spec except:
ZUK has USB-C and a bigger battery (which is a major plus for me!) - however it has no Band 20 support...
Zenfone2 has more RAM, MicroSD, NFC, FM Radio - however 2nd Sim is only 2G and it seems to have crappy battery life...
What should I buy?

who told you asus zenfone2 has got crappy battery life? phone has got fast charge and decent battery life. unless you don't leave your phone alone all the time i am getting almost 5 hours SOT. so which is better than most of phone on market. also asus zenfone2 ml551 fastest and smoothest phone I have ever seen so far(samsung s6,edge,iphone 6,htc m7 etc) so if you think what you paid for asus zenfone2 it is a brilliant device...

I would go for ZUK Z1, I think Intel and android is a bad combination IMO, heating and battery drain is causing me trouble. But overall Zenfone 2 is a great phone, very smooth. Great camera (beats the Zuk Z1 in camera) but the Z1 seems to have latest hardware like the USB Type-C and also supports fast charging and has a bigger battery too! And not to mention the fingerprint scanner. It is also backed by lenovo.
So for now it is better to go to ZUK Z1.

There are some negative reports about WI-FI signal strength and speed on Lenovo phone, look around for test and report before you make a final decision.

No heating for me.. Battery is manageable. I'm using the 551 with 4GB ram and 64GB storage. Lenovo support sucks balls and as far as i know storage is limited in the Zuk. Fingerprint and looks would be the advantages of the Zuk. But if you're a power user, you'd enjoy the Asus more.

I'm not a big fan of the looks of the Z1 from what I've seen of it. In terms of power, it gets 43000 on Antutu, so roughly somewhere between the 1.8ghz and 2.3ghz Zenfone 2 551 (about the same as the 550, but that gains from only pushing 720p) - similar enough to the zenfones not to matter really then, both around the level of last gen flagships. Fingerprint scanner and bigger battery are nice plus points over the Zenfone, but Zenfone has more RAM and SD Card slot. If you need data on sim 2, then you really have to get the Z1. If not, then I think it's entirely down to personal preference and cost. Are they similarly priced?

for me i would go with the Z1.

I was debating the same thing. I went with the Zenfone 2 in the end. It was cheaper (even the Z3580 4GB model), there's an active developer scene, and it looks as if ASUS will support it for a bit longer still. Oh and the main reason was that it has LTE / 4G band 20.
The Z1 looks like it won't support band 20 yet, but maybe someone comes up with some form of solution, who knows.
After having used the Zenfone 2 for a week or so now I think I could have lived with the Z1 not having LTE band 20 and the slightly higher price. The custom ROM scene will start up at some point probably, and until then you have a fully supported Cyanogen OS 12.1 with an update to 13 coming soon.
If you care about having a 2 day battery life instead of 1 day with normal use, the answer is Z1 as well.

Known problems so far? (24/1 2016)
Asphalt 8 is only running with software rendering. So far the only 3D game that has a problem with the phone. Other games like Modern Combat 5, Real Racing 3 or Dead Trigger 2 all run fine and fast.
ROM & Updates?
There are in fact some updates out, that can't be found via OTA Wireless Update on the phone.
The updated ROMs can be found on Needrom - just search for "Ulefone Power" on Needrom. I can not link directly to them here.
And the battery?
I have run a Geekbench 3 battery test (on screen time) on the device and got 20 hours, before it died, but unfortunately Geekbench 3 didn't allow me to upload the results. So it can not be found online. But expect 3-4 days good battery life with normal usage.
The Fast Charger can charge the phone from 0-100% in 120 minutes! (I checked it) that is really good.... the charger gives 1.66A output.
Regarding the battery mAh capacity:

In real life, I have used it as daily driver, and I could go 3 1/2 day before I had to put it to the charger, so expect 3-4 days battery life. Depending on the usage.

It is 196g - so you have to determine it yourself. For me it is okay, I have also seen phones up to 250g - and that's what I call heavy

Any idea about root, or rather, if Xposed + Gravity Box will work on this device?
Also, any ideas why Ulefone chose to implement 32 bit 5.1 instead of 64 bit even though the hardware clearly supports it?
And since I ran into that issue with the Cubot X15: Do widgets and background services like Whatsapp, Gmail etc continue working even after you close the apps and free up the RAM? (Especially noticable on a reboot.)

Regarding Xposed, i don't know if it wuill work or not, this is the first thing i will check once i will have in my hand.
Regarding 32 bit OS.. it looks very strange.. never seen any MT6753 with 32Bit OS..

no chances ... Bliss work only on very common devices and mainly on Qualcomm devices with source code available in github. . Ulefone don0t have chances in this way

also in some other case, with Oukitel K10000 , i have had issue with Geekbench battery test uploading results.. seems to have a bug that more than 15/16 hours is not allowed for uploading ...

Was an interesting video to watch but if I am allowed some constructive criticism:
The testing environments were not the same. Some of that is out of your control like different resolutions (1080p on the power vs 1440p on the other two) which drains more power from the higher res devices. The other thing was more controllable though: brightness setting. I know you put both on 100% but that doesn't mean they are equally bright since one phone could be extremely bright at 100% while another is half as bright at the same setting so this penalizes better/more powerful screens as well.

partly agree.. but is really hard to compare in other way..
i'm not so impressed by Power battery performance, 6000mAh on mediatek cpu and 1080p screen, need to double or close to double the battery life of the other two... and i only see the max gap is aroung 10/15%... needo to arrive at power off to judge better...

True, especially since the Galaxy S6 Edge that has a better screen resolution could actually keep up somewhat and it only has a 2600 mAh battery.
Any idea when your phone will arrive btw? Eagerly awaiting the rooting/Xposed reports.
And FWIW, I ordered mine yesterday from Everbuying and it already got shipped out. Didn't expect that since I assumed it was a preorder everywhere.

But the Samsung has the advantage of a AMOLED display. AMOLED will use less power, especially in dark scenes/black and the screen on the S6 is only 5.0 inch.
The Ulefone Power has to power a 5.5 inch LCD with full backlight all the time.

I put my USB measurement tool on a normal 5V, 1A charger (not on the fast charger as I didn't get any real results) and let it charge the Ulefone Power from 0-100%
When it stopped to charge at 100% the measurement tool showed 5958mAh

So from what I have read, this should then be calculated like this
Ulefone Power charged up 5958 mAh @ 5v (nominal) so 29790 milliwatt-hours, or 29.7 Wh
29.7 Wh x 80% efficiency = 23,76 Wh and assuming a battery voltage of 3.8v, then 23,76 Wh / 3.8v = ~6252 mAh
Anyone knows if that is correct? please correct me if I'm wrong with something here - and what does that actually show us then? Is the battery then real?

Cubot's new phone, the Cubot dinosaur will offer a jurassic experience. They want to solve the biggest issues we experience in cell phones today, namely battery life, performance, and the footprint of the phone. This phone will be 8.8mm thick while packing a 4150mAh battery, and Cubot hasn't been known to lie about their battery capacity. THey are also putting in 3GB of RAM that should help with performance, but are using the MTK6735? Which is a little strange, but hopefully the 3GB of RAM can make up for not using a Helio X10. It also comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which is an extremely nice surprise from a chinese manufacturer, as they are generally released with Lollipop.

got this device had it for few days very pleased so far a few teething problems but its running ok I like the marshmallow and the movement of apps new UI I had to set the sd card up on first use to choose it. but it automatically puts apps on the sd card for you it joins the sd card in with the internal rom as far as I can make out

Introduction
This is the CUBOT Dinosaur
Hardware
This device is powered by a Mediatek MT6735A SOC clocked at 1.3GHz, with a plenty amount of RAM (3GB) and enough ROM (16GB). It has an 8MP Rear Camera (OmniVision OV8856), photos interpolated to 13MP, and a 2MP Front Camera (GalaxyCore GC2355), again interpolated to 5MP . Follow my next paragraphs to know more.
Unboxing
Packaging comes with some accessories: 1x Rugged TPU Cover (amazingly robust), 1x Micro-USB Cable, 1x 5V/1A Charger, 1x Quick Start Guide, 1x Compliance Regulation paper and the Smartphone (of course). No Headset included.
Unlike most devices from CUBOT, this one has a Plastic Chassis, with a Metal Chassis inside, this makes the whole device robust and lightweight in the same time. Pretty interesting, probably the first time that I see a device with something like this. To know more, just look the CUBOT Dinosaur teardown that can be found on the CUBOT YT Channel.
It is just 15.5x7.9x0.96cm, pretty slim considering that there is a 4150mAh battery inside, and it weights 201g, lightweight enough.
On the front side there is the usual 2.5D Curved Display enclosed in a plastic frame. Sincerely, on this device the plastic frame is pretty noticeable, I don’t know why. The upper front side of the device features a Front-Facing Camera, an Earpiece, and the Sensors hole that includes Light, Proximity and Gesture Sensors, and rare Notification LED. (only Blue color is supported, not RGB)
On the lower front side of the device there are the Soft-Keys Navigation Buttons (not retro-illuminated), and almost hidden Microphone Hole. (on the left)
On the back side there is the removable plastic back cover, with a nice texture similar to the Xiaomi MI4s.
The upper rear side of the device features a flat Camera supported by a Single-Flash (Single Tone) configuration.
The lower rear side of the device features some words about Model & Certificates, and the huge Speaker hole.
Inside, there all the slots are indipendent, smarter than other devices featuring a common slot where only 1x SIM-Card can be used at the same time if you use also a Micro-SD card.
Device
Screen
CUBOT, even if they do not declare it, choose an high-quality IPS screen on this device, made by AUO. But, it requires some a bit on work on the calibration, because color temperature and other factors are not as they should be. A software update might calibrate it.
Brightness is great, without no issues at all under direct sunlight. The Light Sensor works great too, and supports smooth light changes making auto-brightness much better.
About Viewing Angles, the screen doesn’t suffer any kind of issue, it behaves perfect in every single condition.
Camera
Rear Camera works as on all other devices with the same camera sensor, nice quality but high noise level. Focus is pretty fast though, even better that what I thought.
As you can see, HDR makes photos brighter just like it should.
Flashlight is powerful enough for nice shots, and it is almost required because even with medium light the camera sensor suffers a bit.
As regards Video Recording, there are no major issues. 1080p videos (Video Quality – Fine) are recorded with a decent level of details, just remember that there is no OIS so you can’t expect stable videos. It is just me or there is a slight purple tint?

Front Camera is decent, but it is just 2MP so do not expect superb quality or high-detailed photos.
Audio
Built-in Speaker is...excellent, similar (be careful, not identical) to the Ulefone Vienna. It is loud, and low-frequencies are here, even if not too much, and it has a nice clarity. Well Done CUBOT!
Unfortunately, it is positioned on the back, and, as I have already said for many other devices, if you place the device on a table you could experience volume issues, but this doesn’t mean that it is a bad thing. As always, what matters here is the quality.
Nothing negative to say about the in-call/telephony quality.
Telephony, Mobile Network & WiFi
Thanks to the 4G Band 20 support (some other Chinese Smartphones don’t have it), I’m almost always and everywhere connected to the 4G Network of my Mobile Network Provider (TIM Italy).
Also 3G Signal Reception is accurate, actually I never managed to get connected to the 2G Network of my Mobile Operator because there was always some 3G Signal available.
4G Network Speed is decent, it highly depends on your Mobile Operator and mine isn’t pretty good. While 3G Network Speed, is just fine.
There is no WiFi 5GHz support here, but WiFi 2.4GHz speed isn’t extremely low, I managed to get connected to my network connection at 65mbps, and Speed Tests reach more or less 35mbps.
Battery Life
I have measured the real battery capacity using my USB Tester, and as you can see it is even higher than declared. (declared 4150mAh, real almost 4900mAh) WOW!
Battery Life is just great, thanks to the huge battery. More than 10 hours of screen-on time are achiveable on this device. My PCMark’s Battery test confirms it.
If you are worried about charging times, well...you have to. It doesn’t come with a Quick Charge power supply, so it takes a more than 2 hours to full charge. Maybe they should have used the same charger used on the CUBOT H2 with 5V/2A output, because with my own AUKEY charger, it manages to use nearly 1.4A. The included 5V/1A charger isn’t enough I think...this is a little mistake made by CUBOT. My advice is to use another charger with at least 5V/1.5A Power Output.
Software
Unlike previous devices from CUBOT, this one comes with a completely clean Android 6.0 release, without any customized lockscreen or anything else. Only the Settings app has been categorized, but nothing else. Excellent!
Just like other last-gen Mediatek Devices, there are some typical features such as Gestures, Turbo Download, etc…
The UI is extremely responsive and smooth, no lags at all. Performance is great too, and you’ll see it on the next paragraph, probably the fastest MT6735 device.
Benchmarks
I have used 3DMark, Antutu Benchmark, Epic Citadel, GeekBench 3, GFXBench, AndroBench, PCMark (Work & Storage) and Vellamo (Browser & CPU Tests) to stress the device to the limit. I won’t test Games or Video Playback because there are already some related tests included in these Benchmark suites.
3DMark – GPU Performance isn’t extremely good, OpenGL 3.1 & 3.0 tests require lots of power, and this is where almost every mid-range GPU falls. OpenGL 2.0 tests are pretty good though.
Other 3DMark tests can be found on my Imgur album linked at the bottom of the thread.
AndroBench – eMMC Performance is the highest I have ever found on a MT6735 device.
Antutu Benchmark – I won’t say a lot about this benchmarks, this isn’t as reliable as others. I’m providing this just for benchmarks lovers.
Epic Citadel – As you can see, 3D performance is decent, enough for almost all games.
GeekBench – CPU Performance is nearly as good as other CPUs with the same configuration (4x Cortex-A53), enough to handle almost every type of activity.
GFXBench– GFXBench score is low, but you can’t expect something better with this CPU.
PCMark – As you can see, only Writing score is a bit low. Pretty good.

Browser score is decent, as good as other MT6735 devices.
The same for the CPU score.
I didn’t expected so high performance on this device. An excellent work has been made by CUBOT engineers, and I hope that they’ll continue to update this device for even more improvements.
Conclusions
With an huge battery, even more powerful that the value declared by the Manufacturer, and with excellent performance, this device is a nice compromise between quality and price.
Do I recommend it? Yes, if you need a long-lasting and powerful enough device, then this is the best choice. If you need a device for heavy-gaming, well...it might be better if you choose something else. Light Games run without any issue though.

Yes, you can root this device.
Just flash custom recovery TWRP with SP_Flash_Tool. (https://mega.nz/#!fYkkSSIY!tcpvabiGf1JUPo08pSt22el55LYQIGdA1kh-MNe1vAs) Archive contains TWRP and scatter file for dinosaur.
After that you can flash SuperSU By Chainfire from TWRP.

I just started using this phone and second your awesome its a all good rounder I not sure if I root it its fine for me at the moment as far as I can see its pretty well 98%marshmallow in my opinion ?

How do i boot to recovery with the dinosaur? i flashed the recovery. it seemed to have worked. when i boot i hold down vol(-). a chinese menu appears with a single english entry (english factory) wich i chose not to do. did i do it right? the booting i mean.

That's wrong. Volume Up + Power

thx. im such a jackass. didnt work when i tried. didnt try again. i could boot into twrp but now im stuck at the welcome screen. cant swipe to continue. touch controls dont seem to work. is there a non touch based recovery for the dinosaur?

Review (part 1)
Introduction
This is the OUKITEL K4000 Plus.
Hardware
As a successor of the OUKITEL K4000 Pro, the K4000 Plus brings some nice improvements, with an overall better build quality and a new OS (based on Android of course) called OUKITEL OS. As regards the specs, there are no major improvements. It is powered by a Mediatek MT6737, with 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM and 8MP Back Camera. Maybe an extra GB for the RAM would have been appreciated.
Unboxing
Packaging comes with the standard kit of accessories provided by OUKITEL: 1x Micro-USB Cable, 1x 5V/1.5A USB Charger, 1x Quick Start Guide, 1x Warranty Certificate, 1x TPU Cover and the Smartphone (of course). A screen protector is already applied.
Talking about the dimensions, this is where the upgrade is noticeable. It is 14.43x7.15x1.07cm, not that bad considering the battery capacity, and weights 219g, still a bit too much.
Following all latest OUKITEL devices, also this one features a Metal Chassis, but with a removable plastic back cover. It feels solid, but the back cover makes it slippery.
On the front side there is the standard 2.5D Curved Display and the upper front side of the device features a Front-Facing Camera, an Earpiece, and the Sensors hole that includes Light, Proximity and Gesture Sensors. Luckily, a Notification LED is here.
Here you can see the Notification LED in action.
On the lower front side there is just the Fingerprint Scanner in the center, with no touch keys on the sides. I can't understand this choice, it is a waste of space.
On the back side there is the removable back cover.
The upper rear side of the device features the rounded Camera Sensor supported by a single Flashlight.
On the lower rear side there are some logos together with the Speaker hole.

Screen
Sincerely i'm impressed by the screen of this device, even though the color temperature is a bit too high just like on all OUKITEL devices, it is super-bright, sharp and seems to have an higher than average refresh rate.
The Light Sensor supports almost smooth light changes, with a proper auto-brightness management. This is its maximum brightness.
Viewing Angles matches IPS screen capabilities, nothing to complain about.
Camera
Unfortunately not everything can be great, and the camera department is something that definitely has not impressed me at all. The rear camera isn't able to keep the noise level low, even outdoors, and, as a result, the image detail isn't that great.
"HDR off" on the left and "HDR on" on the right. HDR works just fine, but the noise level ruins it.
Some extra photos taken outdoors. Look great only if you don't zoom them.
The Single-LED flashlight is barely sufficient to provide enough light for low-light shots.
As regards Video Recording, 720p videos are decent, with stable 25fps.
The front camera is a standard OmniVision 2MP sensor, and it isn't a wide-angle variant.
Audio
Speaker Quality confuses me, it is super loud, probably one of the loudest i have ever tried on a smartphone, but at maximum volume it distorts soo bad that it seems to be near to die. Dear OUKITEL, please reduce the maximum volume to avoid any possible hardware damage.
As regards the Microphone, it is decent but a bit too quiet, this is where the volume gain needs to be increased a bit.
GPS
GPS Signal is good, not the best, but at least it is able to lock satellites indoors.

Telephony, Mobile Network & WiFi
OUKITEL provides full european bands support, with 4G Band 20 (some other Chinese Smartphones don’t have it). My 4G connection was working just fine, but i think the signal indicator isn't accurate, because i never managed to obtain such high speed with such a low 4G signal.
WiFi 5GHz isn't supported. Connected at 65mbps with my 2.4GHz Network, i was able to reach ~37mbps, not the best, neither the worst.
Battery Life
As always, i measure the real battery capacity using my USB Tester, and it seems that the real battery capacity almost matches the declared value (declared 4100mAh, real ~4070mAh).
Unfortunately the PCMark Battery Test crashes after a long while, so i had to switch to Antutu Tester. Not the best battery benchmark, but it is the most hard to handle benchmark with extreme battery usage, maximum brightness, and everything on. Pretty good result.
As regards battery charging times, the 5V/1.5A charger isn't fast at all, requiring more than 4 hours to full charge the device.
Software
Unlike most devices from OUKITEL, this is the first one released with OUKITEL OS! Even though i don't like custom UIs, this one doesn't seem to be too bad. Based on my research, this based on 360 OS (well-known chinese company), with a mixture of features from iOS and other UIs. The result isn't disappoting, at least for me, and the UI feels extremely smooth, even on high-load. Definitely well-optimized, unlike Dido OS or any other unknown bad UIs that i have seen in the past. Unfortunately, it is running Android 6.0 Marshmallow under the hood, but Android Security Patches are up-to-date.
All kinds of Mediatek features are still here, with MiraVision, Gestures and so on...
One Malware found using MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, but i guess this is a false positive.
The Fingerprint Scanner is blazing fast, almost instant, without any accuracy issue. I'm sorry for the video without any music and intro, but the YouTube Video Editor is out of service. If it won't be back, i will switch to a proper video editor.

Benchmarks
I have used 3DMark, AndroBench, Antutu Benchmark, Epic Citadel, GeekBench 4, GFXBench, PCMark (Work 2.0, Computer Vision, Storage & Work 1.0) and Vellamo to stress the device to the limit. I won’t test Games or Video Playback because there are already some related tests included in these Benchmark suites.
3DMark – Just like all MT6737 devices, GPU performance isn't good at all.
AndroBench – eMMC Performance is decent, write speed lower than read speed. (as expected)
Antutu Benchmark – I won’t say a lot about this benchmark, this isn’t as reliable as others. I’m providing this just for benchmarks lovers.
GeekBench – CPU Performance is nearly as good as other CPUs with the same configuration (4x Cortex-A53), enough for basic daily tasks.

PCMark – Not too bad scores for this SOC. Decent Results.

Conclusions
It took a bit longer to review this device because, nearly to the end of the reviewing process, OUKITEL released an OTA Update T_T Meaning that i had to retest everything again haha. Anyway, at least this means that they work on the software a lot.
Excluding this funny coincidence, this device is probably the most perfect ever released by OUKITEL. Buttery Smooth UI, even on the slow MT6737 SOC, and with an overall good quality of the hardware. Maybe they could have improved cameras a bit more, but this isn't meant to be used as a camera smartphone.
Hopefully it will be updated to Android 7 Nougat as soon as possible.
I can recommend this device to all users that don't mind about using a Custom UI, and to those who are in search of a cheap battery-phone.

Oukitel K4000 Plus Rom latest original system + TWRP 3.1.1 + Root + Xposed + Flash Tool
1 : install all drivers and reboot your system
2 : copy recovery (stock or twrp) in "Rom/SP Flash Tool/K4000Plus_V1.3_20170620 (Android 6.0 - Oukitel Os 1.0)", delete (replace recovery.img)
3 : backup all your data on the phone and shutdown your oukitel K4000 Plus, launch SP Flash tool, load MT6737M_Android_scatter.txt scatter file in Rom/SP Flash Tool/K4000Plus_V1.3_20170620 (Android 6.0 - Oukitel Os 1.0), put usb cable on your Oukitel K4000 plus and flash it with SP Flash Tool, wait finish message.
4 : disconnect USB cable, press V+ + Power for starting recovery mode (TWRP here), and change russian lang (english, french...), make a TWRP backup, then connect your USB cable on computer, with MTP, copy Xposed and Root files in theses folder, on the internal memory of your phone, then install Root/SR5-SuperSU-v2.82-SR5-20171001224502.zip, Xposed/xposed-v88-sdk23-arm64.zip
5 : exit TWRP (reboot your phone), first system loading could be ~20min.
6 : configure your Android system, then install Xposed/XposedInstaller_3.1.2.apk
7 : if your have any problem with a Xposed Module, boot in TWRP recovery, and just install Xposed/xposedS-uninstaller-20160829-arm64.zip, it gonna uninstall Xposed/xposed-v88-sdk23-arm64.zip previously installed, reboot on Android and disable the bad module, then reinstall again Xposed/xposed-v88-sdk23-arm64.zip on TWRP.
Ps : you can restore original stock for official updates with Recovery/stock-recovery_K4000Plus_V1.3_20170620.img, but your gonna need SP Flash Tool after that if your want TWRP recovery again. (Your can choose to juste restore recovery TWRP)

Review (part 1)
Introduction
This is the m-net Power 1.
Hardware
Joining the battery phone area, this device features an huge battery considering that it is only a 5 inches device: 5050mAh. Thus, combined with the low-power and also low-end Mediatek MT6580 SOC clocked at 1.30GHz, the battery life should be great, or not? Keep reading the review to know more.
Unboxing
Packaging comes with basic accessories: 1x Micro-USB Cable, 1x 5V/1.5A USB Charger, 1x Quick Start Guide, 1x Warranty Card, 1x Extra Back Cover and the Smartphone (of course). A plastic screen protector is already applied, but there isn't any case included in the box.
Being a battery phone, it is clear that this device can't be considered small neither light. It is 14.3x7.17x1.17cm, with noticeable bezels, and with a weight of 187g.
The whole device is made of plastic, there are no metal parts for the body, but the unibody removable plastic back cover make the device pretty solid, even though it doesn't feel premium at all.
On the front side there is the usual 2.5D Curved Display and the upper front side of the device features the Front-Facing Camera supported by a Flashlight, an Earpiece, and the Sensors hole that includes Light, Proximity and Gesture Sensors. No Notification LED is here.
On the lower front side there is the classic soft-keys zone, with Recents, Home and Back buttons.
The upper rear side of the device features the Camera Sensor supported by a Single-LED Flashlight.
On the lower rear side there isn't important anything at all since the speaker is located on the bottom.
Device
Screen
Even though this is a low-end budget smartphone, it features a decent screen, with an acceptable color accuracy. I would not have expected to find such a good screen on this device, impressive.
The Light Sensor supports partial light changes, with a sufficient auto-brightness management. This is its maximum brightness.
Viewing Angles almost matches IPS screen capabilities, but there seems to be a small gap between the screen and the touch-panel. I guess this is not a full-laminated screen.
Camera
Camera Quality is mediocre, barely sufficient to get some decent shots, but with an excellent auto-focus management. There seems to be an issue with the exposure management, making all photos look darker than usual even on excellent light conditions. An OTA update might fix this issue.
Just like most budget smartphones, also this one doesn't have an high quality flashlight, with a noticeable blue tint. It is powerful though, still better than nothing.
As regards Video Recording, 1080p videos are recorded at 25fps, with a barely stable frame-rate.
This will probably sound weird, but the front-camera is able to take some great shots, and the front flashlight is powerful too. Unbelievable.
Audio
Unfortunately, when it comes to audio quality, it is possible to notice that this is a budget smartphone. Lack of volume from the speaker, and muffled microphone.
For standard calls it is just fine, but i can't recommend it for sound recording in loud environments.
GPS
GPS quality is decent for outdoor usage, insufficient indoors.

Telephony, Mobile Network & WiFi
Being an old-style 2G/3G smartphone, it isn't possible to get any great result, at least not in my area, using the mobile connection. Signal Reception seems to be great, but do not consider this result as the bible since 3G network coverage is basically everywhere nowadays.
The same can't be said for the WiFi connection. Connected to my 2.4GHz network, the result was not impressive as regards the bandwidth, unfortunately an issue present on the majority of MT6580 devices.
Battery Life
Following my standard battery testing procedure, i tested the real capacity using my USB Tester, and, based on the result, its capacity doesn't match the declated value (declared ~5050mAh, real ~4795mAh).
As expected, the PCMark Battery Life test provides a great result, reaching almost 18 hours and an half. (lowest brightness, WiFi on, Sync on)
Thankfully, m-net provides a 5V/1.5A charger instead of a crappy 1A or 0.5A. Ok, this isn't still fast charging, but with more or less 3 hours it is possible to recharge the device completely.
Software
Running on Android Nougat 7.0 with July 2017 Security Patches and a light version of the FreemeOS ROM, the device looks pretty clean and doesn't have major performance issues. Unfortunately, there is some bloatware pre-installed, that can be uninstalled without any problem. Due to the screen refresh rate capped to ~50hz, the UI doesn't feel as smooth as it should be.
Common Mediatek Features such as MiraVision, double tap-to-wake, gestures and so on are there.
No Malwares Detected by the MalwareBytes Anti-Malware app.

Review (part 2)
Benchmarks

Epic Citadel – Some OpenGL 2.0 games should have enough power for a decent gaming experience.

PCMark – Just like on all MT6580 devices running on Nougat, the Work 2.0 test isn't able to run properly due to issues with Video Editing tasks so i guess some codecs are not working properly.

Vellamo – Surprisingly, all tests run correctly even with just 1GB of RAM. The results of course can't be impressive.
Conclusions
This is the first device ever released by m-net, and, considering what they managed to obtain, i guess they will keep focusing on budget devices. Even though it is called "Power 1", it can't be defined a powerful device. OK, its battery is superb, but it would have been better to have some extra performance too.
I do not dislike the idea of having a compact battery phone, since many users do not like devices with a screen bigger than 5.2". With a decent front camera, and a solid, but cheap, build quality, i can't say this is a device that should be ignored completely. I hope m-net will fix the back camera auto-exposure issue, and why not, also optimize the OS a bit more, in order to obtain a more usable smart-brick (not in a bad way, but it is thick).

Fastboot and the m-net power
Can't get the phone to stay in fastboot it enters fastboot mode but within seconds it boots. Is there a button combination im suppost to press or something

i tried kingo root. no luck. i think its a glitch with my phone.. ill try kingo again

how to download rom? my m net power have a problem with a firmware, is very very laggy
