We usually see the new phone apps ported to the old phone.
When will we start seeing N5 apps for our N4?:silly:

So i got an Evo like last week...I love it, I truly do, except for the low battery which I bought a second one, so no big deal.
Anyways, I love having modded things and I have modded everything from my old HTC Wizard to my PSP. So I am really interested in CyanogenMod or other ROMS.
The thing is though, I downloaded a bunch of apps and synced a bunch of data, and just got the phone look the way I like. My question is...Is there a way to save all the stuff to my SD, so that when I install a new ROM, that all the data and apps and etc is all there? The second part of the question is...should i just wait till EVO gets official 2.2?
I just really don't want to lose my stuff and start over.

To keep your apps / data you can use a good backup program like MyBackup or Titanium Backup. I use MyBackup Pro and love it, have not used Ti backup, but I see many users on here that do use it.

Well if past versions are any indicator...I think I would save my money and buy a TWINKIE instead!!! Come on...give me a break already. If its the same old bland and black ui with widgets that do not match over all ui theme, the usual google bloatware,ui issues going nack to version 1 regarding how the launchers do not properly format wallpapers to screen in landscape mode..if it even supports landscape mode..,calendar with a widget that does not even include a full month calendar...generally very basic over all. I will hold off on jumping on this bandwagon until I get the "experience" that awes me vs causes me to snore. They should call it Lemon instead.
Have a free KitKat guys !

Rumor is they chose Kit-Kat because they're breaking away the core apps from the OS into the Play Store - so "break me off a piece".

Like Google Keyboard. Someone was talking about Google Camera as well. Google Launcher would be nice =D
i would like to see google take this opportunity not just as a marketing scheme to pull in more money but also really bring android up to par with iphone in the user experience area. an interface that is eye catching like sense but actually optimized to run smoothly on any device..can be done with what they have now actually, the themers pull it off for the most part..so they could also. andtoid needs to take that next step..not just be a bunch of marketing crap with absolutely no substance. and stop with the .1,.2,.3,.4,.5....etc releases..really. Release a STABLE operating system that actually works well enough to do everyone until the next release. That gives time to really develop new things instead of focusing on small updates that amount to nothing in the end. Kit Kat,Butterfinger, Hershey's...I dont give a damn what you call it..just make it good.
I have been rooted with a custom ROM basically since day one (almost 2 years ago). If I press the "Recent Apps" button twice it will close all running recent apps. Is this a feature on stock Android or is this a feature of the various ROMs I have been using?
I ask because I just went to play with a Nexus 5 today at Best Buy and noticed this 'double-tap' feature to close all apps was not on the N5. I am trying to figure out if this feature was removed on KitKat or if it was never a feature on stock Android.
That's a PACman specific feature. (I forgot whether AOSPA has it or not)
Sent from Google Nexus 4 @ CM11
I never really liked that feature, preferred the separate clear all recent button.
Often times I'd end up killing apps that I'd wanted to still run in the background.
Is there any way to get some wp8 apps back onto wp7.8? even old version of apps but coming from androids and iphones i really miss some of my social apps like instagram(6tag)(instagram Beta) and snapchat(6snap). Even Skype!!
I'm running the N preview, so I'm not sure if it's something to do with that, since I really didn't play around with it much on stock.
Anyways, I've noticed most apps that ran in tablet mode on my Nexus 10 are just plain stretched out phone apps now. What gives??
For example, Gmail, which was a fantastic example of a tablet optimized app, is now running just one pane. It looks stupid. Plume only has 2 panes instead of 3, which isn't bad, but still, lots of wasted space.
Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere?
I just noticed the same thing happening to me. They use to load in tablet mode, now they aren't Edit: it's a bug with multi window, even when you arent using it. To get tablet UI back I had to go into multi window, and then maximize my right side pane to full size. Now all apps are working again.
i went to post the bug in Android Issue tracker, but it's already there. it's caused by apps that make the tablet change orientations, and it looks like google is already on it.
