Some one know if we can downgrade with PC10IMG.zip with a goldcard. Because my g2 is post ota and locked to htc screen without adb access.
Thank you
Yes, you can. The whole procedure is documented at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=831398 .
However, in order to downgrade, assuming you don't already have S-OFF, you will need access to the data on the phone. If you are saying it won't boot then you may have a problem. Can you get into recovery ? Can you get into hboot ?
You could try the gold card on its own but I don't think that will be enough, I think the version editing in that procedure is needed as well.
Yes I can get into recovery and flash the ota update (the phone already have ota before) but adb say "device offline".
I can enter into hboot and fastboot.
I'm S-ON
I don't want to throw away 400 usd argh.....
What about if in CMD you do...
fastboot devices
If it shows your s/n you could possibly do
fastboot oem rebootRUU
this should bring up "fastboot usb" on screen,... then run the RUU?
BUT NOT 100% sure sorry. Do at your own risk blah blah blah.........
yes fastboot oem rebootRUU work but same problem try to flash pc10img.zip from pc via command line, say "main version is older" and there isn't a RUU.exe for G2 and the desire-z RUU don't work for cid checking
I presume a factory reset from recovery doesn't help, have you tried that ?
Yes I try but doesn't help.
All this after use visionary........
For one time I take the easyest way not the safest....
I have an HTC wildfire S A510b MARVEL PVT SHIP S-ON RL

i need to install custom ROMs on my device to get more free space in internal memory, for that i have been trying to unlock my bootloader but i cant. i followed steps given in HTCdev.com it provided me with the unlock_code.bin but when i flash it. It doesn't happen. The file doesn't flash. can anyone help me unlock bootloader.
Could you specify the exact steps you take to flash the unlock code? And what is the error you get?

RUU for my ROM was not available on HTCdev.com so i ignored the RUU step and continued from step 1, as it was mentioned on web that if your ROM version is not present than u dont need RUU. i followed every single step mentioned on HTCdev.com, i gave them my binary ID token they sent me unlock_code.bin file on my email account. but when i try to flash that file. it stuck. nothing happens. i tried other RUU's for my model i.e. PG76120 but non works. and the unlock code that htcdev.com provided doesnt work also. it hangs when i try to flash that unlock_code.bin on my phone via cmd.exe, on web it says that it will take 5secs. i left my phone for more than 10mins. but it didnt flash.

you should not ignore ruu for your rom bcz...the original hboot doesn't support fastboot command..!
He said that he has version 2.26, that already has the unlockable bootloader .
Maybe you could try to get another unlock code?

Did you select 'Fastboot' by pressing <power> button on hboot menu before to type the 'fastboot' from cmd.
If you don't this then probably it wouldn't be done!!.

i went in HBOOT by pressing power and volume down button simultaneously. i let HBOOT scan for images, there weren't any, than i selected fastboot using power button. after that i connected my phone to PC via USB cable. fastboot changed into fastboot usb. than i commanded cmd tu flash unlock_code.bin into my phone (unlock_code.bin was placed in same folder where adb.exe,AdbWinApi.dll and fastboot.exe files were placed and i opened cmd from that folder where all of these 4 files were placed) I have win7 ultimate and activated on my desktop.
do i have to copy AdbWinUsbApi.dll also ???

Hi i have the same version on the OP .... can i flash other RUU on my phone? since i already unlocked my bootloader got S-ON ..
and its not simlock (already unlocked) what RUU shud i flash on my phone inorder to remove the bloatwares from telstra and remove carrier logo upon startup.
Ok this is the story.
So I see there is a new custom ROM (HTC One maXimus) with Android 4.1.1 for the One X. I decide to root it.
However the ROM forum tells me that I have to install this 'PJ46IMG.zip' containing the new HBOOT 1.23 in order for JB to run on my phone.
Following the guide, I then start to un-root my One X, first installing the recovery.img file, then re-locking the bootloader using the 'fastboot oem lock' command.
This is the ISSUE!
When I tried installing the RUU version for my One X (I matched the RUU looking at the bootloader menu Radio version), it tells me that my phone is not connected to my laptop (when it clearly is?!).
This is exactly what the bootloader menu says:
*** RELOCKED ***
Endeavoru PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-0.94.0000
CPLD-None
MICROP-None
RADIO-1.1204.90.13
eMMC-bootmode: disabled
CPU-bootmode: disabled
HW Secure boot: enabled
MODEM PATH: OFF
My phone even says 'FASTBOOT USB'.
I can't seem to re-boot my phone as it always comes back to the bootloader, plus I get this "developer warning" message as the phone boots.
Also, whenever I try doing a fastboot command on my laptop, it's just stuck on 'waiting for device'.
IM LITERALLY STUCK GUYS! Just hoping there's someone here who knows exactly what to do
try rebooting your pc and bootloader

Hi, I did the exact same thing and faced the same issue. To resolve it, do one thing, just try unlock the bootloader again. And your phone will start working as before. For unlocking the bootloader you will need the Unlock_code.bin file which you used initially to unlock your bootloader. I hope you have the file. I was able to find it in my mailbox. HTC would have sent this file in email.
Let me know if I helped by clicking Thanks
So did you flash the stock boot.img before you relocked the bootloader? And your CID matched the prerequisites right?

I have found the Unlock_code.bin file, but whenever I try to flash the fastboot command, it is still stuck on 'waiting for device'
What am I doing wrong?
Try a different USB cable or different computer

Hi,
Now I think about it, I only flashed the recovery.img
Plus, I did not have time to check the CID, because everytime I enter a command, it is just stuck on 'waiting for device'
You should have checked the CID first before you even started to do anything.
Reinstall a stock RUU and then try to unlock bootloader from there.
Got it working now !!
All I did was use a different computer and re-rooted it! Thanks for all the help guys!
Go to Fastboot

Are you on fastboot mode. Keep volume down + power button pressed for sometime and your phone will restart in Bootloader modem, you will be HBOOT, use the up and down volume keys to select fastboot, then press power button, your phone will switch to FASTBOOT from HBOOT. When you are in Fastboot mode, try running the command for unlocking.

First of all you can't run RUU with unlocked bootloader you need to relock it, go to fastboot connect phone to PC and run command:
fastboot oem lock
to relock bootloader.
Then run command:
fastboot getvar cid
to find the cid of your device. when you find it well find the appropriate RUU for you region.
However you can run PB.img from Goldcard without having to find appropriate RUU, but not all SD can be made to it. Go to AAHK2 thread and you will find what manufacturers are supported.

I'm unable to find appropriate RUU for your phone cause it's for TMobile UK. So Goldcard is the only way. However go to AAHK2 thread to find out which SD card can be used. When you make a gold card extract rom.zip from RUU that you tried, rename it to PD98IMG.zip, put it to the root of your goldcard and reboot phone to bootloader. Use Vol up and down buttons to install.

RESULTS: basically i now have a full stock desire hd although i now have no service i cant seem to get it to connect to my network... i followed all your instructions?
flash recovery
I have been through a similar situation before
But I have known the version of ruu for my phone
The key is the error message you have is solved by an easy way
You have to open the ruu u have
And look in the temp folder (%temp%)
For a file named rom.zip
Copy it
Unzip it
Flash boot.img
Recovery.img
System.img files in the fastboot menu
I.e
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Fastboot flash system system.img
Then try running the ruu again
It should work
Otherwise the gold card will solve it
Keep me updated

Control / C is the wrong way to copy the info, dos works differently, once you've marked the info in the dos window, just hit enter to copy it, and then paste it the normal way, either with a mouse right click or control + V into the window at the HTC dev site.

I have restored my ATT M8 to stock from unlocked and rooted and now I have a couple of problems.
First, SunShine says my phone needs to be rooted to proceed and directs me to the HTCDev site to unlock the boot loader.
When I go through the process to re-unlock the bootloader, I can't get into the Android directory at the command prompt.
As the screenshot shows, it looks like there might be a problem when I boot into the boot loader.
I've also included a screen grab of the command prompt and directories.
I no noob when it comes to flashing, etc, but this has me hitting my head on my desk!

is your phone stuck on that screen or do you actually get to the point where it says fastboot usb on the screen ?
First there is no folder called /Android there ! Its called .Android and that's usually a sign that its a hidden dir !
Create a "normal" Android dir which you have admin rights to also !
Open a command prompt from the folder and check again.
