I'm having also trouble to unlock my device the second time. On the first time the unlock works pretty well. I After a few weeks i decided to relock for the possibility to receive OTA update for lollipop. Now I'm unable to unlock the device again.
Fastboot shows :
FAILED (remote: device already rooted). An accurate connection is given, cause i can unlock another device. I think my TA partition is messed up, of course i have no backup..
Could someone help me or is there a solution for my problem?

I recently purchased a R800 from someone on Craigslist. The phone is already rooted, permanantly I think since it is rooted after doing a factory restore. It is not sim locked, I believe its factory unlocked.
I tried to do the OTA update, which downloads, but fails to install. It appears to get about 3/4 of the way done, reboots and gives me an "update failed" message.
I wanted to unlock the boot loader, I got the unlock key from SE. I must of tried 10 times to get the phone to boot into fastboot mode, it NEVER does it. It simply boots up normally. I even got an app that makes it easy to reboot into restore or fastboot modes (just click an option and it reboots), however just like before the phone simply reboots normally. I even did a factory restore prior to trying the update... no go.
Should I try to remove the root access? Is this what is giving me all the problems. I was able to successfully install root explorer and titanium backup and both of those programs worked fine.
R800i, Android 2.3.3, Kernel 2.6.32.9-perf [email protected] #1, Build number 3.0.1.A.0.145
Edit: Title should be "Can not OTA or enter fastboot mode, root problems?"
Is your phone sim locked? Sim locked phones need to be unlocked before able to unlock bootloader or fast load. After you unlock bootloader make sure you never ota update.

Your phone has a locked bootloader and a factory lockout on fastboot.
Best advice to you is flash the r800a world generic 2.3.2 root it with gingerbreak then ota update. Use a program called wontanserver as its super easy.
Dont get anyone to remove your factory locks on fastboot until you read tons of threads on these fourms from the last couple months.
Ok, lets see....

My phone is the R800a. It was my understanding that this phone was never locked (factory unlocked). It came in an official Sony Ericsson box and has no carrier branding on it what-so-ever. It was not purchased through a carrier. It does have a weird stock data APN called "Telekila"?!?!?

Doesn't wontonserver require credits to run? How expensive does this get?
I didn't know the phone could have a factory lock on the bootloader. I did go to the SE website where you get the unlock key and it was successful in giving me a key... Well I shouldn't exactly say "successful", it did give me a key code to use if and when I can unlock the bootloader, weather or not that code is actually legit remains to be seen. I'm a bit skeptical now since you said the phone is bootloader locked from the factory. I though SE was allowing their phones to be unlocked. I recently unlocked my Motorola Atrix and was expecting to do the same with this phone.
Thank you guys for the advice. I love this phone so far but I can't wait to get a custom rom on it
It uses credits but they are free.
There are currently 2 gentlemen on these forums that can remove your fastboot locks and unlock your bootloader.
Have a look for thier threads on this matter
I would like to have this done now, so gentlemen, whomever is able to do this please message me and we can work something out. Im dieing to get a new rom on this awesome phone/game console.

If you need help with unlocking your phone contact Alejandrissimo he does Unlocks
I flashed the r800a world generic 2.3.2 rooted it with gingerbreak then ota updated.I get the same thing as DMpire , reboots and gives me an "update failed" message.
Is this because I removed some of the stock apps that came on the phone after it was rooted? Anyone know about this?
Does it matter if the SD card is mounted or not?
Removing stock apps then trying to ota isnt going to happen. Reflash, root, ota, then remove your stock apps
Is there any easy way to do this? can I reflash it as it has a locked bootloader, or do I have to get the bootloader unlocked?

Alright, here's the thing... My mk16i has a locked bootloader... Even still i ventured to attempt unlocking it through test point method and s1tool.
Apparently all steps worked, the s1 boot thing is now reported with an lowercase letter (just as mentioned in tutorial) which got me pretty hyped up...
but I just seem to be unable to get into fastboot mode, I do get the blue led for like 2 seconds and then is changes to orange and cell phone goes to battcharge mode (black screen with big batt charging icon).
The only thing I have not tested is first flashing the stock rom... I dunno if having custom rom has something to do.
Any ideas?

You've not unlocked it properly.
Well... I spent more hours into this last night, here's what happened:
Apparently test point method and s1tool can unlock the bootloader, I got notifications from s1tool, flashtool and Omnius that my phone was already bootloader unlocked... BUT it seems that the real limitation for "bootloader unlock allowed: no" phones is that fastboot is disabled, and searching through all the forums I only found one post of someone stating that no dev has been able to enable fastboot on these devices.
So, I even restored (relocked) the bootloader with s1tool in order to now try Omnius.
The good news is, Omnius works... I really have no idea how it did it, but Omnius did unlock my "unlock allowed: no" phone, and it uses the same test point method... the bad news is that it required me to buy an "Android single unlock license" for 15 euros... so I really hope it will be worth it.
That's all.
Good luck everyone.
Hello All,
I had previously unlocked my bootloader with the SE official method. Recently I had to submit my cell to the service center due some issue so I had relocked the bootloader using the Flashtool. Today I got my cell back and not I tried to unlock the bootloader again using the SE official method, it is not allowing me to do so.. It gives an error saying unlock device required.. Please help.. :crying:
Common issue, so you'll have to sit tight for a way to unlock those back from service, or give them a ring and try and find out what's causing the issue and report back here with something useful.

Hi everyone
I wanted to try going from the stock Android 4.3 to cm12.1.
My phone was bootloader locked but unlocking was allowed.
So I followed the process on the sony website and got the unlock code and entered it.
Phone then refused to restart, stuck on booting screen.
Eventually using Flashtool, I found a stock rom and reflashed that, still wouldn't boot. Then I relocked the bootloader and now it boots again.
However, it now says sim card is invalid and refuses to let me join the phone network (I'm in Malta, using the Go network).
Also, I'm now unable to reunlock the bootloader as it says failed when I try doing so using fastboot and says it cannot be officially unlocked when using flashtool. Worryingly for me, in settings it now says "no" for unlock allowed (it used to say "Yes").
So now, I've got a phone that otherwise works normally again except that it doesn't actually work as a mobile phone! Please help me someone as Sony have already refused to do anything to help, their customer (dis)service people simply point out that once you unlock the bootloader - even if that itself causes the problem - they will no longer help you. Cheers, thanks Sony, no way will I ever buy any product from you ever again!
What a crap day...

i think you have missing something after unlock bootloader, and you can't give any wrong or false to sony. because you're do this with your vault and you're is vault your warranty. and sony have give you a warn sign before do this, and you accepted because you do it.
so no any vendor problem if you fail or your device is bricked.
after unlock bootloader, you need to reflash your stock rom again and do a full wipe data and cache from flashtool before flash any rom. after wipe and flash you can check your device is boot up perfectly without any problem. you only missed that. try to reunlock if still can, but try to unlock your bootloader using flashtool too.

Well on Sony's site it also says that any repair will be chargeable once you do unlock, so I would have expected them to have done something at a charge not to totally refuse to help at all. I accept what you say but I DID follow the instructions exactly, I unlocked the bootloader and rebooted it as instructed and from there it went wrong - refused to boot.
Anyway, I have tried several stock roms including even using the Sony tools and letting it do a "repair" reflash, all to no avail. "Sim Invalid" is what I'm left with and what I have noticed when flashing every stock rom with flashtool, what is missing from the "Wipe" list is cache, the only option there is "USERDATA". Is there something wrong with the flashtool perhaps?
Even when I relock the bootloader using flashtool (which I seem to need to do every time even after flashing a stock rom) it still seems to regard the phone as unlocked, or at least when you go the "BLU" screen it shows only the option to relock each time. Something has definitely screwed up here.
I got a UK stock rom via Xperifirm and used Flashtool to create the TFT from that. Still no joy. I'm assuming something is wrong with the sim lock, somehow, but how to fix this? I'm realising that reflashing stock roms doesn't totally return the phone to factory condition, so what am I missing here please? Is the phone totally stuffed now or is there still some way to repair it?
Ok so further to this, I just gone into service menu -> Sim lock and I see this:
[x] Network 0
[x] Network subset 0
[x] Service provider 0
[x] Corporate 0
[x] SIM 0
So is the phone locked or not? What does the x mean? The phone was previously fully sim unlocked as I bought it without a contract from Amazon. Is there a way to fix this please?
help me please
i have xperia m, after unlocking bootloader it stuck on bootlooping, i have not enable usb debugging...any way to fix it?
How's it going folks?! I hope y'all doing good. So I've been trying to unlock the bootloader of my Vivo S1 1907 (MTK) device, but I've failed again and again. I've tried almost every method available on the internet, but none is working. I tried using ADB&Fastboot ( every method ) but it shows some sort of error each and every time. I contacted the Vivo customer support and asked them for help, they said I can't unlock my bootloader since Vivo doesn't allow it.
I wanna root my phone for some reasons, is there any way I can do it? or is there any way I could unlock the bootloader? I'd really appreciate it if you guys could help me out.
Thanks
Same problem bro
Hello,
did you manage to root the phone? I got the same model...
