[SOLVED, I got a copy of the mixer_paths file]
I have an ATT LG G3 850(21Q) . The Android version is 5.0.1. The Kernel version is 3.4.0. The build number is LRX21Y.
I rooted it using the latest release from xda forum and was completely fine until I changed the mixer_paths.xml. I rebooted my phone and now I have no sound or microphone. I had made a copy of the file and replaced it. I rebooted and it there is still no sound. SMS/MMS messaging now also keeps popping up with an Unfortunately, Messaging has stopped . Anything I try to use with sound or video either has an error, forces closes, or both. I uninstalled everything and factory reset the phone and it still has a problem. I am thinking that the mixer_paths.xml got messed up or the build.prop was messed up. I only consciously changed the dpi setting which I also tried back at default with no luck. Any chance I could get a copy (file or paste) of one or both of these files? Pretty please with bacon on top?
Thanks in advance!
Are you still in need for the mixer path XML

Guys can you help me out,
I was trying to edit SystemUI.apk with this tuto http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2527867 Then I needed to put it on my phone following this tuto http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2235956
Now my phone keeps putting "Unfortunately, System UI has stopped." I tried rebooting, same thing. What did I do wrong? Maybe in the signing? The video tutorial used "zipalign -fv 4 ...." command while I read on other tutorials you should copy the original manifest and I don't know which files but in the video he didn't do it...
Please help, the error message keeps coming in the way and I can't to anything.
LG Nitro HD, CM 10.1.3 Wind kernel.
EDIT: I managed to have access to CWM by fast clicking before the error appears so I could reboot into recovery, does this help?
EDIT 2: The video told us to replace old meta-inf and android manifest in the new apk but he didn't show it so I didn't do it, was that the problem?

I re edited systemui.apk with signing this time then I put it in a flashable zip file the author of the status bar modding gave me and then I sideloaded it in CWM and flashed it. Now I can use my phone but my status bar has disappeared.
What do you advise me to do? To reflash the original SystemUI.apk of my rom? I will try all this tomorrow.
Edit: I forgot to say that I had disabled SystemUI because if I enable it the error will come again.
So I tried to I tried reputting my original SystemUI.apk and flashing it but I still didn't have the toolbar and the crashes. So I think I am gonna reinstall my ROM like you said.
Solved
Finally I made it
I factory reset the phone and wiped cache but the root was gone so I re rooted it and reflashed my custom rom and gaaps and kernel,
Then I followed this tuto http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2203166 that was much simpler and easier than the video one I saw previously for editing systemUI.apk and how to compile/recompile.
I pushed it through via file manager after I set the correct permissions and rebooted my phone. Now the status bar has my text in it

first off have you installed anything in regards to sound(mods, apps....) if you have uninstall them now!!!
second off if you have installed apps since last audio uninstall them if that does not work go into recovery and do a factory rese(backup apps first) do NOT install apps after wipe and check if audio works if it does it was one of your apps if not bring phone in for repairs
you go in to recovery by turning off phone and holding power and vol+ until you see the lg logo then release a second and press BOTH buttons again and hold then chose factory reset
edit: beccause you did to try swapping it if they allow that otherwise it needs to be send to LG repair

I'm having same problem.
Can you send me default build.prop file or factory reset is necessary.
Also, did you later manage to modify build .prop without loosing sounds?

What lines did you mess up in the build prop? I'm having the same problem. Happens when I change my LCD desnsity to 530 with Root Browser. It's happened twice. When I tried to overwrite my build.prop with the one provided below it soft bricked my phone and I had to flash stock rom from my computer.
Thanks
Guys,
Any time you make edits to the build.prop make sure you take a copy of the original so you can revert back if something gets messed up.
This has happened to me also. I edited the build prop with Root Explorer and it has messed up sound settings.
I had changed the value for Multi window for all apps.
Hey Guys,
Could someone please provide a new link to their working build.prop file?! Preferably stock.
The link above no longer works!!!
The same happened to me while editing the build.prop file
Thanks in advance

same here. what should i do?
Hey gus,
today my Camera suddenly stopped working properly. When i try to use dual mode or start taking a video, the app suddenly crashes.
I already tried a factory reset. After that I could not even find the app installed, it disappeared. When I reinstalled it (backuped the apk before reset) I got the same issue: dual mode and videos not working. The phone was rooted and I used the camera mod that sets the 1080p framerate to to 60 fps, but the camera worked properly until today. In addition to that the media profiles xml should be original again since I did a factory reset, so this should not be the problem.
Anyone pls help me.
Maybe someone can upload his/her camera files so I can try installing another apk? Its possible I got a damaged apk or so..
When you change something in protected area i.e. system you change it for good. No matter how many factory resets you do it would stay the same. Applying camera mod involved modifying mediaprofile.xml that is in system/etc folder. Only way to fix it would be to grab the stock mediaprofile.xml and put it back in the system/etc folder.

I guess I'm not the only one having issue with the camera mods. I changed framerate to 1080p60, but got worse results and the phone got stuck on the boot screen. Had to use the flashtool to go back to stock. If your phone boots, restore the xml as previously mentioned. Im curious, which version of the G3 do you have?
Thanks for your answers
@enaybee: could you please upload your original file? I just dud a backup of the apk, forgot the media profiles.
@garykl: Got the german 16 GB version from 1&1

Here you go media profile xml
Thanks man, now I just need to reinstall it as a system app, can you explain what i have to do? I put it in the priv-apps folder and etc folder, rebooted, but nothing happened
Just grab the mediaprofile.xml and place it inside /system/etc directory with the help of any file explorer that gives you access to system folder (requires root) like root explorer or es explorer. Make sure stock file replaces the modified file. Reboot and that should take care of the issue if it was only caused by the mod.

I already did this with es explorer, set the permissions to rw r r and rebooted, all files are in the right folders.
Still no camera app
Maybe it doesnt work because we got different phone versions?
I checked the model number and it says D-855
Edit:I dont know why, but suddenly the app appeared in my drawer. Problem solved, thanks alot for your help [emoji106]

Okay, so...I've been searching for a good month or so on what and how to do to eventually fix this, no luck.
First of all, let me say I'm a complete noob in this stuff, and yes, i understand that I shouldn't have tampered with what I have no experience with, anyway;
I saw a thread on ported apps from the G4, and figured, "Heck, why not". Rooting and everything went smooth, until it said that I have to change the format (?) or something of the system/apps folder to something else than it already is.
That's where everything went in the wrong direction. The folder became invisible (?) and unreadable by the phone, even tho I could see it with the ES File Explorer, but couldn't with Root Browser. I tried changing the format of the system/apps folder to what it originally was and that didn't help.
So, now I have no system apps which I can use, I always get the "_____ has stopped working" notification. Bluetooth doesn't work, NFC, the remote app, can't change the lockscreen effects OR the lockscreen wallpaper, and many other apps and settings crash randomly.
The question is, can I find or get by any chance a copy of someone else's folder to copy it back to mine to fix this if it works this way. Or is the only way to fix this to flash back the stock ROM to the phone? Or perhaps is there a way to make the folder "usable" again by doing something I don't know? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Currently running Android 5.0 if that matters.
Edit: Just failed to mention that the phone is usable, not in any bootloops or whatsoever, the LG launcher is not working of course, but I somehow got the phone running with Nexus Launcher. The keyboard is the same, using Swiftkey. Yes, it's usable like this but not convenient, I need the system apps lol.
