No Idea. Go to their website and see what they say to do.

You need to have Teamviewer running on your work PC. It will show the same sorts of details that you mentioned. Those are the info needed to connect TO the device.
Then on the phone, tell it to make a connection, and enter the info displayed on your work PC.
I don't have Teamviewer on my phone or the PC I'm at, so I can't check exact details. But this is the basic version.
Checking the Teamviewer documentation is your best bet, since this is really a Teamviewer question, not specific to using it with a G4.

ftp site

for information on accessing the ftp site, see http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_FTP_Site
I'm STILL experiencing annoying problems with the FTP - namely that it doesn't support the commonest method of changing directories, CDUP. This is just stupid, there's no reason why CDUP can't be enabled (at the moment I have to manually specify folders to go back to if I want to navigate back to the root from being in a particular subfolder!)
Also, for some reason I tried to connect to the FTP with my Hermes over 3G in Opera Mobile, specifying the username and the password inside the actual URL (xda:[email protected]) and Opera STILL asked me for a username and password to log onto the server. And then, when I typed it in, it didn't like it, and kept on asking me again and again and again... The same Error 550 Permission Denied.
The forum's been (almost) sorted; please someone go take a look at the FTP and see if these problems can be sorted! I love the irony of not being able to access the FTP from an actual HTC device 8)

What happens if you only enter the usernamen/password when Opera asks for it?
CDUP enabled... Awesome.
Re the Opera problem: same result. 550 error every time. Very curious, gotta be the way which it initiates the FTP transaction... Tried to packet sniff in promiscuous mode but I don't have wifi on my PC (getting a laptop soon but don't have it yet, so can't wifi packet sniff) and for some reason I couldn't pick up any packets coming from my PDA on the wifi network even though I'm connected via cat5 (so in theory I should see the traffic in wireshark)... I feel too ill to go messing about trying to make it work though, just thought I'd let you know it still doesn't work. Very odd.
Kudos for the CDUP enablement though.
Okay, maybe I am just stupid or something, but a LOT of the links that point to the FTA are broken. So I did a little reading and now connect with an FTP application. After doing some browsing around, most of the files are gone. What's up? Am I missing something? All I want to do is downgrade the phone (Cingular 8125).
Edit.... Okay now I read somewhere else that the roms have all been removed per a request from MS. Is this the issue and I am not really being that stupid?
a lot of files missing at Blueangle
Hi, i use to download BA rom at ftp site but now most of the roms is missing left only directory only.
Site Admin: The Black Helicopters are Coming!
I don't want to be the party pooper but I like this site and wish for it to be around for a long time:
The uploads area is again showing a bunch of full or dumped ROM images. I count no less than ten ROM dumps/updates in the Hermes directory.
CDUP enabled
CDUP enabled
Is this? correct in saying there are no admins for the Prophet, Atom or Magician FTP areas?
yes
yes, don't worry

Is the server down?
Is the ftp server down? I can connect to Red Hat's ftp server, so I don't think the problem is on my end, but I get a server time out error trying to get to the BA ExtROM unlock and repart tools.
The master is a good guy who give us an useful site to access.ty
Could there be made a folder under the blackstone thread for dumping roms?
I don't want to flood the thread with multiple files in the root.
Thx

Hopefully they will get to the right section
Thx

Cannot install Goodlink

HERM 300/TyTn II by T-Mobile
I am trying to installed goodlink on a cooked ROM (on WM6)but after I download and execute the OTA setup (over the air setup), i get the error:
"Unable to retrieve handheld serial number. ROM Version MaNiLlA2d
Contact IT administrator. Press OK to exist OTA Setup".
I have tried it with other ROMs too but still the same.
I wonder if there is a way to emulate the proper serial number.
Any ideas anyone ?
Thanks
p.s. I had goodlink working fine on WM5 before I replaced the ROM
can you confirm what model phone you have? A Hermes does not equate to a Tytn II as your original post says.
Its a HERM300 as it says in the back. Its a T-mobile MDA Vario
pm me a sample account, so I can test, I installed it but I don't have any use for goodlink.
sorry if my question sounds ***** but what is GoodLink?
some sort of exchange service. I am able to get exchange 2007 working fine on mine sooooooo not sure.

You dont need a sample account to test.
You just go to : https://get.good.com and download the appropriate cab file that matches the hardware / OS.
Then once you install that, the OTA SETUP application appears in your programs. If you try to run this, it will go to the goodlink website and try to download the actual goodlink application. Before it hits the internet it checks the serial number. Thats where the problem appears and the message pops up.
Thanks for the help !

I think you have past the point where i got stopped. Have you done anything specific ? i couldnt get to the point where it asked for the pin, as it was checking for the serial number just before that.
Is there anything that i need to do in order to get there?
Thanks
Have you checked the IMEI that the OS is reading from the phone??? If not go to Device Identity in Settings/System and see if the IMEI is corrupted to start with...

Using SMB Module with Astro

Anybody able to tell me how to use the SMB module with Astro? I cannot find anywhere in the application to connect to my computer. I've looked through the documentation too, with no luck. I've got both Astro and the SMB module installed.
I've emailed the developers, but no response yet.
Thanks for any help.

If you drag the row that contains "Home" to the left, "Network" is all the way on the right. Tap "Network" then tap "New".

Thanks! I had seen that screen, but when I clicked on the WiFi symbol (thinking it would create a new share connection), all it does is take you to WiFi settings. Of course, I wasn't smart enough to click on the "New" button.
ASTRO SMB Configuration
It would be wonderful to have a few screen shots and a bit of discussion on how to actually get this running.
I tried what I thought would work and the system hung in a wait loop.

Albaholic, thanks for the screenshots.

jcifs.util.transport.

means your phone can't connect to the computer, have you verified that it works on a pc?
-edit- make sure your wifi is turned on
WiFi is on, and I can ping the EVO from the PC.
I've confirmed that the shared folder can be seen from another PC.
I am wondering if invalid payload size is a clue?
Are there any Windows 7 issues I should be aware of?
It could be a permissions issue. In the screenshots I provided, I'm using an admin share. What do the permissions look like on your shared folder?
bah, i have the same error, i can ping np, i can access my shares from any other comp in home, but get payload error on the phone.

Using a windows 7 box and an admin share. Finds the ip addy of the pc using only the hostname, but it most be getting a bad response from the PC.
Anybody find a solution?
Too add the windows box shares the directory with 2 xbox's in the house and shares the printer with 4 laptops...
same error for me "Invalid payload size: 405" !!
Please fix this. I have checked my share is working properly and on a second PC. As well as works on ES File explorer but i dont like that app.
EDIT: phone - HTC Desire, 2.1-update1
I have a smb server running on my Ubuntu 10.04 box. I got it up and running after finding the advanced settings. On my captivate, when in the smb setup dialog pressing the phones menu button brings up an advanced settings tab. You get two options, key and value. I set key to "Workgroup", and value to my workgroup. Back in the previous settings dialog i have only filled in Label, Server (used IP address), User Name, and Password. Works like a charm now. Hope this helps
I wanted to connect to my SMB shares on my Mac running Snow Leopard OS X, and while other PCs could see the windows shares just fine, on my Android phone with the Astro SMB module I kept getting Invalid payload size: 254. To solve the problem, while in the connection profile editor, I pushed Menu and chose Advanced. Then I created a new property and key:
jcifs.smb.client.useExtendedSecurity = false
Once I added this, I was able to connect to all of my Mac samba shares just fine!

Thanks bro, that fixed my prob i was having, i now have another problem, When trying to view files on the network say example a photo i get the following "file type jpg not found" the same goes for any other file i get "file type ***** not found" any idea how to fix that?
I have a STRATO HiDrive (which basically is an online harddisk that supports several protocols such as SMB, SFTP, WebDAV etc). I tried connecting to the drive (cifs.hidrive.strato.com) using my username and password, but to no avail:
UnknownHostException: cifs.hidrive.strato.com
It works fine using my computer, though. I also tried switching off extended security as you described earlier, but that didn't work either.
Another program, FileExpert, connects just fine but is really slow and hangs while reading the share's folders.
So I tried SFTP, which connects but then returns a "StringOutOfBoundsException". Dunno if they're related, I'm basically trying to solve the SMB problem.
Any clues?
I not find Astro smb module on market.
Anybody have the apk?
Thansk.

Update Lumia 820 from Denim to Windows 10 Mobile using PC.

I have been scratching my head over this all weekend now. My institute has this authenticated HTTP proxy which doesn't do well with WP8.1, so I have created a small proxy server on my router which routes all requests to the parent server and I am able to connect my phone to the internet. Problem is that the connection is VERY flimsy.
Update to the latest WP10 build ALWAYS fails with 801882cb (network disconnection/failure), so I've been looking for methods to do the update on my PC. So far, I've tried Windows Device Recovery Tool, which shows Cyan as the latest update (I'm already on Denim) and Nokia Software Updater for Retail which doesn't connect to server or recognizes device at all.
I came across WDK which contains iutool.exe which can send .cabs and .spkgs to device but where do I get those? Any tips for those with similar problems as me?

Take a look at this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/windows-phone-8/development/windows-phone-internals-unlock-t3257483
You might be able to create a W10M ROM for your L820, and use the tool to load it to your phone.
Good Luck.
