if so, try flashing the rom first and then remove the applications using link2sd. its simple and easy.
it requires root access.

[Q] HEEEELLLLLLP! Bootloop . .

Hi all,
Really hoping someone can help me with this one.
I was quite happily flashing miui Rom to my one x from the Viper rom. . . Unfortunately after using fast boot for the boot image and CWM v5.8.4.0 to then flash the zip I have entered a boot loop from which none of the following has worked:
Recovery through CWM
Fast booted the original boot img i was using previously and tried recovery again
Tried factory reset and wipe everything and then fastbooted my previous boot.img and viper rom. . . .same issue (Hanging on Htc screen)
Tried the same with the bindroid rom too but no joy.
If I let the Rom continually reboot itself then I can get to the main screen on both Miui and the bindroid Rom but then both become unresponsive and then ultimately reboot again. . .
I've searched all over and cant find a resolution for this. .. . . .
Has anyone got any suggestions as to what it may be and what i can do?
Thank in advance for your help!!!!!!!!!!!
dont know if this has any relevance . . .

Hi Matt . . . If you mean factory reset in recovery . . .yes tried that. . . the thing i'm most perplexed with is when I re run the viper rom install, everything appears to go smoothly. . . no issues until it comes to actually having the ROM start up. (sorry for delay, has me as a new user one post every five mins max)
follow this steps:
1-download again the miui rom
2-go into fastboot
3- type:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Code:
fastboot erase cache
4-go into recovery
5-make a full wipe (cache, dalvik, data, system)
6-flash the rom and reboot

I havnt redownloaded the miui Rom and tried this but I have done this complete process with the Viper rom that I previously had functioning on this phone. Will the Miui Rom make any odds?
I appreciate the help BTW!!

:silly: uh huh! What I meant is I think i'm doing things Kosha . . . . . Will trying a redownload of Miui make any difference if Viper and the other skinned rom I tried didnt work?
oh hang on . . . . . ...
Thats just odd!
I was in the middle of doing a spaz check following your instructions to the letter. . .I "re fastbooted" the boot.img again as per the start of process for the viper Rom whilst wating for the Miui Rom to redownload (the last action was to run the viper install thingy prior to this) Then when I went to go into fastboot again to do all the wipes. the phone booted as if nothing had ever been changed!
WTF!!?!?!? Whilst relived, I'm slightly P***ed at my phone for what appears to have been a giant c*ck about. . . I dont get it!
i don't know what's going on

It looks like you booted the image and didn't flash it.
It's "fastboot flash boot boot.img"

Do you wiped : data, system, cache & dalvik-cache before flash can-13.0 ? ... because if you come from stock 5.1 , device will not boot on 6.0 if you keep older data .

well my english is not very good but ill try...
first of all i tried to install official b340 firmware on my c900b160 g8 using your modified cust.img but it failed and didnt work so i restored original cust and restored the backup i made with twrp before doing anything to phone and phone boot up perfectly and everything working then i went and tried to install resurrection remix rom ( i tried it with or without gapps ) and i got stuck at boot loop problem after optimising apps then i thought the problem is with remix rom and i installed cm13 rom but it also went in boot loop now im running phone with the backup i had and trying to find a solution to install custom rom.+i had installed many custom roms on other phones before and i did the insturction of installations compltely ( wiping and ... before rom install ) the problem is that the phone boots up successfully first time after rom installation but after optmising apps part it goes reboot and never boots again (my steps on installing rom : copied the files needed into my sd then went in twrp and wiped everything then installed the rom and then wiped cache again and rebooted into system and then the problem happend)
it was all i did with the phone. ( i just want to get rid of huawei's slow ui and rom )

it looks like you are processing too fast,
you try too many things = make the situation worst
there is no way a clean flash will not work
please make sure to follow instruction, flash RRos and use this kernel
