Hi folks!
I got the Wildfire S from my Mum and flashed it to 3 different Custom-ROMs.
the problem is, her phone has an error. Everytime when waking up from standby, it takes like 5 seconds before the display does take input!
Means : When someone calls and the display went on, u have to try many times (like 5 secs or more) to receive the call. same when trying to unlock.
With stock rom it was even worse! there it took like 10 seconds or more.
now we want to flash back original rom without root and take it back to our dealer and let it change with a working phone. problem now is, the USB-Ports seems to be broken or so??
when connecting with her laptop or even with my PC the pc's recognises the phone as "unknown device" and when trying to install usb-drivers for asb or fastboot, it says "the device is already up to date".
so i CANT use fastboot, adb or even the RUU-flasher-exe files
no i am searching for a way to flash the phone with a stock rom out of the recovery menu.
is there a way or a way to fix the usb-driver problem ???
someone plz help!
i installed htc sync and tried to flash the ruu manually by fastboot.
it only flashes system.img and the boot.img. when trying to flash the other stuff like hboot and recovery or radio it says "wrong verficiation id. Remote not allowed"
now the phone wont boot further than bootloader or recovery
bootloader is unlocked!
plz someone help!!
Is there a way to flash a stock rom out of the recovery?
can SOME PLEASE make me a backup of his system and upload it anywhere so i can fix mum's phone?
plz ppl help!
ok got it back working. with custom rom only, but its ok for now.
Hello,
I don't know exactly what happened, but at some point last week my phone started only booting to fastboot. I can't even access recovery, even after flashing a new one (clockworkmod touch, and then regular).
What is going on? Is the phone a complete brick?
Thanks in advance!

Use a RUU, then S-OFF and flash recovery.
I cannot use an RUU, since I am stuck in the fastboot/Hboot screen, which the utility does not recognize... :-(
Plan B?
Boot your phone in fastboot-mode and running RUU.exe on your PC should work completely fine.
But you asked for a Plan B, here you have one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=10509780&postcount=102
First, thanks for the responses!
I don't know why, but the RUU did not recognize the phone in fastboot mode...
In either case, I followed the instructions in "Plan B", with the following RUU:
RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.29.405.5_Radio_32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_159811_signed
The problem is that during stage [6] SYSTEM, I get "Fail-PU" and am told that "partition update failed" (I am guessing that PU = partition update) and am asked to reboot.
Should I try a different RUU? something else?
I am happy to say that although the RUU did not work and I don't know why, I tried again flashing clockworkmod through fastboot, and now I am able to get to recovery!
I will try to install a ROM and see how it goes. Thanks to both for the help!
Ok, so i got the update OTA to 4.4 i think. I was rooted, but had stock recovery. The update failed. and when the tablet rebooted, the touchscreen no longer responds, and it stays stuck on lock screen. I cant boot into recover, when i try, it just shows an android, with an exclamation mark, and the string 'no command'. adb fastboot recovery command works, but no recovery. any other command, like fastboot flash w.e, say, waiting on device. Im out of ideas. Ive researched, i need help. please someone take pity on me. lol. Thanks.
Hi,
I either hard-bricked or soft-bricked my phone. It does not turn on, led indicator shows nothing. (It does not even load into bootloader). But when I connect it to my PC it shows up in device manager and let's me access phone's internal storage. So I'm wondering if it's a hard-brick and i'm screwed or do I still have any chances of recovering it?
What happened:
Firstly I was trying to go back to stock with a ruu from ruu.lalleman.net. I've checked my CID and got the correct one.
Then I relocked my phone, after that when I booted into bootloader it showed "RELOCKED" "SECURITY WARNING", but from now my phone wasn't able to boot normally, it booted straight into fastboot.
Now I tried loading the RUU on my sd card as explained here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc...lp-thread-htc-one-m8s-to-stock-howto-t3190238 But all I've got was an error saying "device halted due to Large Image update fail !"
I figured out that I couldn't install the original RUU because I had the update to MM.
At this point I was fiddling with my phone for a long time so I thought that it needed charging so I tried to boot into recovery just to charge it. It didn't work it booted straight back to fastboot.
Then I tried unlocking my relocked phone via htcdev just to flash any recovery to charge my phone. (this was probably the stupidest decision out of desperation ) After the last step of unlocking, when it asked me if I want to unlock the bootloader I selected "yes" and the phone just vibrated and went black.
If someone has any ideas on how to recover my phone, please help, I'm desperate. :crying:
nevermind, after trying for a while I somehow managed to do "adb reboot".
So I had relocked my phone after using twrp and rooting my phone, than removing root since phone was being slow.
now, I get the message that it cant be trusted, and wont boot...
I go to recover my phone, and the recovery boots straight to error message. so my recovery is gone. Next thing I do, is try to flash the stock image or recovery, cant because its locked, tried to reunlock, says to go into developer mode but cant get into system.
tried RDS lite, get the message it cant boot into fastboot when IT IS in fastboot.
Tried to boot directly into twrp, nothing.
I know im just gonna be told to send it in but im trying to avoid that... please help.

Try the flash all for your variant in the return to stock thread
Tried that, says my Flash Permission is no, so when i attemp to flash all, it says i dont have permission and to go through settings to unlock bootloader, but i cant access it unless i can log in, lol , its weird
