I am installing a Gpad 7.0 in my dash and I need to know if it is possible to allow charging while connected to a usb DAC so I can output audio to the amplifiers? If so what DAC should I use and what cable would suffice for the connection.

Anybody have any info regarding this matter. Thanks
Hello everyone,
i recently got a LG G Pag 10.1 and picked up a otg cable for it, it reads flash drives just fine. i also picked up a inateck hbu3vl3-4 (a 3 port usb 3 hub and gigabit ethernet port) the tablet will not read any of the usb ports or even use the gigabit network. do any of you folks have any ideas on how to get this device to work?
(the same otg cable/hub works on my s4, though the ethernet port does not work on it either)
any help would be great,
Wizeone
I have an old USB-Ethernet adapter. It works with an OTG cable to provide me a wired internet connection. Unlike your device, my adapter is neither an USB hub nor gigabit capable.
Hello i installed a nexus 7 in my car not i really dont want to take out my center console because its a huge Pita. But i realise that i now need an otg. I was runninh sound via bluetooth to my radio but the lag os crazy. I have acces to the the end of my charging cable. I was wondering would adding a usb to usb adapter and a usb hub. Would that be consider a usb otg cable. Would i be able to purchase a usb dac and use it. Also could i charge at the same time. I have absolutely no room to fit a audio jack on my tablet. So usb dac is my only option.

You generally need a kernel installing to do as you have said eg elemental x or timurs. Yes, you can then use a usb otg cable to power and host the usb dac.
I want to connect the HTC One M9 to RJ45 ethernet, using some micro-usb to ethernet adapter via OTG. Android supports it starting from marshmallow, but no idea if the feature is present on the One M9, I think it depends on the kernel.
Anyone knows if it's possible or got it working?
Forget this phone, LG V20 and Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ support OTG USB to ethernet adapters. See more here:

Anyone using a USB dac/amp on HTC 10? just got my fiio k1 today in the mail and I can't get it to work with any headphones. when I press play I can get noise from the headphones like it wants to play but nothing else comes out. I just have a USB c to female USB 3.0 cable to hook the k1 to USB c port on the 10. Would I need a hub that has its own power to be able to use this dac? Maybe the 10 isn't providing enough power?
Hi, I know this is an old thread but in case someone searches for this.
I was finally able to get USB DACs to work with my HTC 10. Answer is install an aosp ROM. Seems like the Dolby feature in sense ROMs might be giving an issue with USB DACs. As soon as I switch to lineageOS my dragonfly red worked. Also, smsl idea DAC.
