Hi, I just got the tab s 8.4 and I have the note 4. Sidesync works (shows up on the Tab s) but I cant hear anything if I make a call from the Tab. My voice can be heard on the other end.
Is there some setting that I am missing to set up? Ive checked online and no one else seems to have this issue. Im sure its something simple.
Thanks in advance.

I have been using the original Tab 7inch as a mobile office since it came out. It runs my trading programs and phone quality is great enough for business. Can the ATT Tab 3 (7 or 8 in) make phone calls? It appears some international versions can but the ATT model does not have a phone icon. Not sure if just adding a dialer is the solution or if hardware is missing.

I use an app called "Spare Phone" to use the tablet as a phone. It requires you also have Google Voice .
I use earbuds for the calls.

Thanks Unreasnbl. That appears to be a voip solution but I am looking for native cellular voice calls. I guess I'll stick with my first gen tab for the time being.
Thanks again
Was this project never undertaken? I am also looking for a way to make phone calls that will not count towards my data (i.e., I want to use my own phone number), but so far I only see the old GTab information. Can anyone point in the right direction? I have used hangouts dialer to make calls, but it is only showing up as private, and I cannot receive calls (when they call my number it goes to voicemail immediately).
I just picked up a Note II from Sprint and it had 4.1 on it. I connected it to my Jeep Wrangler (2012 Unlimited) UConnect Radio (Model 130) and everything worked great when making a phone call. (I first this last friday tried a Note 3, but that wouldn't make calls at all from my jeep and Sprint said that they know and it might never be compatible, so I had to return it and swapped it out for the Note II on monday.)
The phone then upgraded to Android 4.3. Now I have a unique Bluetooth issue that I have exhausted searching for an answer to but cannot find one.
The phone will answer calls just fine through the UConnect radio, and it will make calls to some people just fine through the bluetooth. But when I call some people it will ring thought the speakers just fine, and then when they answer the UConnect radio announces "Call Ended." However the person is still connected and it still shows the bluetooth connected just fine in my action/notification bar and the headset button in the call is still highlighted green. But I have to hit the speaker button to speak top the people at that point. Again, this doesnt happen on every call so thats why I am confused.
I have found a solution however, and this is where I need the help of one of the superusers on here. (To preface this, I have read about 150 posts online about the Note 2 and bluetooth issues. I have deleted and repaired the phone from the Jeep UConnect and removed the Uconnect from the phone about 20 times. I have tried Bluetooth Auto connect, I have tried Tasker, I have tried disabling the media audio option, IU have tried bth allowing MAP and not allowing MAP. I have tried both allowing the phonebook and call history download and tried not allowing it. I have called Sprint...NO HELP, and I have called Jeep...NO HELP. Both Sprint and Jeep told me there were no firmware updates available to fix this (Jeep said they cant do firmware updates on my radio) and Sprint said there were no plans to fix this kind of bug in the future)
When the UConnect announces "Call Ended", I can drag down my top action/notification bar, click on the gear for settings, click on Bluetooth, then click on the UConnect gear for settings, uncheck the "Call audio Use for phone audio", and then re check it. Once this has been rechecked, the Uconnect picks back up the audio just fine and I can continue the call on the radio handsfree like it is supposed to be.
I live in CA where is is required to be handsfree so I really need a solution to not fumble with the phone for 10 seconds trying to make it do what it should do automatically. (Like my 4 year old Galaxy S2 did just fine).
I have tried tasker but cant seem to find a way to make it perform those steps I need.
My big question then is this... Is there an app or someone that knows how to write a simple app that would simply disable then re-enable the call audio checkbox under the Uconnect settings with the press of one button. or the press of an app icon from the home screen or something. Or has anyone seen this and knows of a fix?
Sorry for being long winded, just want to make sure the problem is clearly explained. I am truly at my wits end.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give, it is greatly appreciated.
So couple questions. Are you pure stock, got root, custom recovery?

Does anyone know if the SM-T210 Samsung tab 3 7.0 have vibrate? I chatted with Samsung today and they were not able to tell me if it does or not.
I don't see the setting, however maybe its something that is hidden and needs a separate program to make it start working?
any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Nope, none of the Tab line models supports it.
I found a thread from 2011 somewhere else - http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/general/menu-key-to-answer-call-to-reject-t1226639 - but, 3 years latter..
I really want to use this tablet as a phone. Skype is working great over a data connection (even on 3G), and with a skype number it almost feels like a phone... almost.
I can dial with google now, no problem.
But is there a way to answer skype the same way I would do with a normal phone - with a press of a button on the headphone? I know this is a little thing, but when walking on the street this can make a huge difference.
Hey guys, I'm looking for a solution for couple of weeks now, and actually feel stupid.. I remember finding this option on my old S4 mini but cannot find it on th G3
So, the problem is, whenever I call somebody, a popup comes up and asks whether I want to make an Internet call or cell phone call. I want this removed, change to cell phone by default but cannot find the option anywhere..
I've tried uploading a picture but it prevented me as I'm a new user on the forum
Please help.
