Hey guys!
A few weeks ago my phone(z1c) fell on the ground (directly onto a metal bar) and as a result the touchscreen cracked and died. Since I didn't want to spend much money for a new display+digitizer I bought the Z3 Compact. But a few days ago I found and bought a cheap one from ebay to revive my touchscreen-cracked Z1 compact as a secondary phone. Boring story - I know.
Well, yesterday I disassembled it (dumb me startet to dismantle it from the backside till I recognized that I can't swap the screen from there. (I completely dismantled the backside at that point)). Since I didn't have enough time to fiddle around with it any more I left it dismanteled till today. So today I reassembled it and swapped the display and there I am:
My phone is dead. It wont turn on. It just shows a red led when I connect it to the charger. I can't get it into Flashmode nor fastboot mode. I tried the Power + Volume Up reset as well as the 'Off' button beside the SIM-slot. Doesn't change anything. If I connect my Z1c to the charger with the battery _disconnected_ it slooooooowly blinks red. (Like 10sec red 1sec off).
Any ideas on how to proceed?
Ok now I tried with Testpoint but I can't seem to get it into emergency flash mode...
This is what I'm doing: Connect TP to GND > Plug In MicroUSB > Red LED is on > Disconnect TP > Red LED turns off after a few seconds
This is what happens without TP connected: Plug In MicroUSB > Red LED is on > Red LED turns off after a few seconds > Red LED turns back on > ...... (flashing slowly)
Am I doing something wrong? I attached a pic of the mobo
@munjeni D:
Here i've another pic of testpoint
That seems to be the same pin as I am trying to use. Still no luck to get it into emergency flash mode :/

Hey folks.
So I got this Xperia S, never touched water, never dropped in water, etc. etc.
When I open it up, in the back the PH (I assume) strips are read (I assume they're supposed to be white)
When I connect charger the LED shows RED (constant) pushing keys does nothing (no vibration)
If I plug it into the PC while holding down volume DOWN the LED changes to GREEN
If I plug it into the PC while holding down the volume UP key the LED changes to BLUE
What do I do to fix it? It won't start, sometimes when I plug it in the "charging" animation plays for a brief second then dissapears.

its supposed to be white, red is for water damage.....as far as ur led light is concerned its working properly......those are the right colors .....if u still have ur warranty i suggest u send it back to sony......as u have not mentioned if ur boot loader is locked or not or that ur phone is not booting coz of the red strip or if u bricked it cant really suggest anymore......but if its bricked just connect it to pc via the vol up and connecting and install a ftf file of desired firmmware via flash tool....or if u have a locked bootloader use sony update service (SUS)
Hello,
For couple of days i am searching for solution, but didn't found anything which will help me to solve my problem.
This is my problem:
Recently i got HTC Wildfire S phone which i think is soft bricked, don't know. Motherboard looks good, all connectors are great.
When i press Power Button, phone just vibrates (one time) and little sensor red dot appears for few seconds, after 2 minutes, it vibrates once again for fraction of second, and nothing shows up.
When i connect charger, little orange light in right corner of speaker appears. I left the phone for full night on charger, but in the morning i got just green light.
There is no any lights on display, i can't enter to fastboot (volume down + power button).
But when i press volume down and power button, the little red dot sensor shine and i can connect phone with usb to pc.
When i connect phone to PC via USB, PC installed drivers and said "device is ready to use".
I also installed the tool "minimal fastboot and adb" and all possible android sdk files..ect...
When i enter to command prompt and type fastboot devices i get some number. S1152563737 (This is random number but it looks like this one, it begins with "S"). Any other fastboot command typed in will just show message failed with message in brackets (1 bytes).
All tutorials, tips and information from forums say press volume down + power button , but i got what i already explaind just little red sensor shining.
Summary:
Phone vibrates one time when i press power button
With vibration, little red sensor shining, after that (2 minutes) phone vibrates one more time but this time just for fraction of second AND red sensor turns off.
Can't enter to phone fastboot volume down + power
Nothing showing at display (just black without lights)
I can connect Phone to PC
PC recognizes Phone, installS drivers
P.S
I tried something with PG7610000_Marvel_hboot_1.09.0099_2.13.401.3_0210_R and i found out this information about my phone
IMG VERSION: 1.34.110.3
If you know something about this, and you think you can help me, please leave reply.
Thank you
EDIT: I have 4 batteries, when i put other battery, press power button, red sensor blinks for 2-4 times (not light in speaker).
Please have in mind and you probably know that i am talking about two different LIGHTS, red sensor light and upper charging light.
Also for one time i managed to get lights in down touchscreen options, and it seemed that phone works but not sending anything on display. Light also fade in and out when i pressed power button. That happened for one time only.
I gived a lot of information, i hope it's not confusing..
After i unlocked and installed MoKee everything was fine until my phone got out of juice while listening to radio. Now the phone is just unresponsive and when I connect it to the wall charger it just blinks(kinda , it looks like a blink on top of a static red light. hard to tell) red light and does nothing. From time to time it stops for 1-2 secs and starts blinking again.
If I try to open / reset / fastboot the phone stops blinking for half a second and goes back to blinking. I found some topics about this problem in xda and other forums but they were all resolved by disconnecting the battery and letting it cool for sometime.
Well the problem with that is; I dont want to void my warranty by opening up the phone and I dont want the service to find out that I m fully rooted and unlocked (which means another excuse to void the warranty). Is there anyone who solved this problem without opening up the phone? or am I doomed for good.
EDIT: topic heading supposed to be red blinking led but my mind is getting bricked without my phone too
Try to connect phone to charger, and hold both valume down+power at same time. Hold for atleast 10 seconds.
Hey guys,
Yesterday, I've tried to update the TWRP Version to 3.02. I've downloaded the version which fits to my Xperia ZL and flashed the new version within the installed TWRP. After that I wanted to reboot to the system but it doesn't work.
The blinking red light when plugged to the charger is normally a hint for a broken battery...but the battery has never been a problem and before the update it was charged up to 60%.
Is there a possibility to get my phone working again?
Thanks in advance!
I had this red light sometimes. If you open bottom flap and unscrew the two screws under the sticker, remove entire back cover, then physically disconnect battery from motherboard (flex cable connector), wait some minutes then reconnect connector, sometimes it will boot again.
You could first try holding tip of pen or pencil on little yellow reboot button for some seconds to see if it will boot. This is all underneath the bottom SIM/SD flap.
The final thing is to reset using testpoints on the motherboard.
If you can get it into fastboot mode and see phone from PC you could maybe reflash twrp.img recovery image in case you had a bad flash when you upgraded.
Thanks for your reply!
I‘ve opened my Xperia and disconnected the battery but unfortunately it's still not booting.
The idea with the reset button I‘ve tried before with the same result.
I don't have a windows computer so I can't try different programs for flashing a new image. Have to ask a friend the next days...
When I connect the phone to my Notebook then first the red led and instantly the green led lights for a split second.
Hello, Huawei gadget friends.
My watch started to go in to a "low power boot loop" a week ago so I left it alone hoping a full drain would restore it back to working condition, but alas not.
So now this is the situation:
1) press button, nothing happens
2) connect to power shows the charging icon (white battery with power sign) and then after a few mins commences a boot loop as follows
3) from the charging icon, then gives the "Device software can't be checked for corruption..." message
4) followed by the red Huawei logo, then a single vibrate and then back to step 3 above
5) removing the watch from the charger stops the boot loop but then shows the low battery icon (white battery with one bar).
In one or two occasions, I saw it boot up to the colorful spinning 4 android wear logo, but did not complete (did not show "Android Wear" before rebooting again.
I have tried getting it to recovery mode screen or fastboot but without success -- I keep getting the second buzz without fail.
When the beta of 1.5 came out, I tried it, but since then, have wiped my mac and don't have the adb/fastboot software anymore. From reading the forums, there is now some new software called TWRP. Please advise what I can do.
Would I be right to suspect that it is some battery problem? Is it beyond help? :crying:
Thanks in advance!
MMM
Edit: I have also left it on for several hours charging (and rebooting constantly), thinking that perhaps it is just low battery -- but no success.
I'm experiencing the same problem, i turned it off yesterday at 17% and connected to the pc this morning to charge. I immediately noticed that it started looping with the white icon and it doesn't turn on, nor boots into download mode.
Have you found any way to restore it?
Mine doesn't show the red HW logo, charged for some hours and nothing.
I noticed that the pc see that there's something connected, but keeps saying "USB not recognized". I don't know what to do, i may open up and disconnect the battery
EDIT: SOLVED, it was just the cable that broke somehow. I soldered a new cable to the circular base but that didn't work, but as soon as i received this i connected to the pc and started pressing the button randomly till it showed the battery logo and started charging
I got this when I plugged it into my laptop. Plugging it into a dedicated USB charger solved my problem - I suspect the power rating on the USB socket wasn't high enough to charge effectively or that the USB socket is faulty in some other way. From what I understand, not all USB sockets are equal in that some are suitable for high-drain devices, some not so much. So trying another USB port on your computer may also help (Unfortunately at the time I was backing up to an external HDD on the other USB so that option wasn't open to me).
guyz, i have tried my method it actually worked on Xperia X Perfomance
When it goes to Bootloop for Drained battery, i just plug the cable and perform activity block method By pressing and holing power and both volume up and down and when it hits the 1st viberation i just simply release the key. (remember dont hold it too much long after 1st single viberation just release the keys ) and your phone will go to block activity mode. charging light will change it colors from red to blue.. after 2 minutes just press power button then you ll get another viberation and your phone will be seen as charged 2% and then it will be normal again...
i think it happens when battery drained and phone is unexpectedly trying to go boot in first place.
thank you
