Re: Xposed for me175cg
@ LejEndME, thanks. I used the T2 method on my already rooted Fonepad with 8GB internal memory but the installation of the xposed could not complete due to lack of space. I reset my phone to factory reset with only Xposed apk as downloaded app, yet the installation failed at the same point. I had to use the uninstaller.
I am trying to use a part of my 16GB SD card as part of my internal memory with Link2sd. Please advise accordingly.

service centre help or not?
Posted cm12
Just installed the zip version of cm12 on yu. Could not wait for the official ota update. Updated zip using cwm recovery which I had installed while the phone was running on the cm11 kitkat 4.4.4 version.
I understand that since this is just a system update there is no need to change or revert back to the original recovery.
(just a doubt- is it necessary to revert back to original 4.4.4 system stock recovery in case we get the OTA or the OTA will take care of any Custom recovery and will install iteslf?)
Initial boot will take a long time due to the Android Runtime (ART) virtual machine which is the improvisation over the Dalvik Cache. So please be patient for all the 122 apps to get registered in by ART. I had tried the ART while on cm11 4.4.4 (despite of system warning that it might lead to crashes etc... ), even then it took a very long time......
Working absolutely fine. Initial experience is awesome. Will be observing it now for some time. Most other features are similar to the cm11. no more 3g detection errors. Got to explore more....
My first posting in XDA.
I owe a lot to this community from which I have taken a lot. I hope I will be able to give back even little that I have got to help others. :good::good:
By zip version i mean the version that can be installed using the phone recovery with out the need of a computer to push the system (i.e. the flashable version). I am not aware what the debuggable version means.

YES YOU CAN JUST FOLLOW THIS STEPS
1. Download official CM12s Ota(1st zip in the link).
2. Place the downloaded zip file in the ‘download’ folder on phone’s internal storage.
3. Boot Yureka into Stock Cyanogen recovery - To do so, power off the phone. Then press Volume Up + Volume Down and Power button simultaneously,Onec you boot into recovery do data/ factory reset.
4. Select ‘Apply Update’ > ‘choose from internal storage’ > /0 > Download > and select “cm-12.0-YNG1TAS0W0-tomato-signed.zip” file. The ROM will be flashed and you should be seeing the Android Bot
5. Once installation is over, go to main page and ‘wipe cache partition’
6. Then select Reboot system now
That’s it! Wait for a while as the device boots for the first time with all new and fresh Cyanogen OS 12.
IF you dont get anyhting just revert me back ,or pm will help you.

Hi, You can very well install the .....signed.zip using the CWM recovery as I did.
1. Install the .....signed.zip file and not the ....flashable.zip or the ....bootable.zip files. Only the .....SIGNED.ZIP file either on your phone memory or sdcard
2. Reboot into the recovery mode either by using the advanced reboot option or by pressing the volumeup+down button and power buttons simultaneously and releasing them once you see the Yu logo and phone vibrates.
2. Use the Factory reset command first and then wipe the Cache
3. Navigate to the Install zip and chose the .....SIGNED.zip from either your phone memory or the SD Card as CWM has the option to chose the zip file. and swipe to install it.
4. After successful installation navigate to reboot and swipe to allow the system to restart.
5. Intial boot takes a very long time saying Android is updating. This is because Lollipop uses Android Runtime (ART) by default and not Dalvik Cache as a virtual machine for all apps. So please be patient till all the 122 or so apks are updated by ART. Takes around 10-15minutes.
6. The usual fist time boot stuff.... and then...
7. Enjoy. CM12 it is sweet.

It is android version 5.0.2
To flash through recovery (either CWM or TWRP) use the .....SIGNED.ZIP i.e. the first file in the list and NOT the .flashable.zip or the last one. Only the first one.
I installed the zip through CWM
The only bug I noticed was when you add the Powersaver option tile in the Notification drawer, when in the power saving mode, a notification showing the power save mode got invoked. When I used the same option after rebooting I am not getting it now..
Also all of a sudden a red boundary started to appear at the edges of the screen. So I though I had opted for the screen refresh notification in the Developer options but I had not. Still i could see the red rectangle when the screen refreshed. I had to reboot the system. Now fine.
I happened to own a Acer Z220, I want to root it and get xposed framework for additional feature (a 3rd party rom is not expected at this stage:crying.
I find some good stuff from http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=674828, if someone speaks Russian, please ask if vm03 could update the twrp to the latest.
What I want is an updated version of TWRP.
ps: Since this unpopular phone has no excising Root+Recovery solution around, I decide to post what I have concluded so far.
-------------------------------------what I have concluded so far---------------------------------------------------------------
boot into recovery:
1st press and hold vol+ and power key
wait til vibret 2 times then release both key
and press vol - key wait 10 to 15sc
thanks trust4eve83
boot into fastboot
press and hold vol- and power key, wait 10 to 15sc
How to do a nand backup(without flashing a 3rd party recovery)
boot into fastboot
fastboot oem unlock
fastboot devices (make sure your device is there)
fastboot boot twrp.img (doing this also test if the 3rd party recovery will work for your device before you acturally flash it)
now you in twrp
Only working Root method:
I had tried many method, only KingRoot works.
Ps:
You might require a second try for a success root, and you "might" lost root access after restart.
How to flash a 3rd party recovery (after rooted)
$ su
# dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p25
assuming your recovery block is the same as mine, or try:
# dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/recovery
# reboot recovery
Ps:
Since I really dislike the root manager bundled with KingRoot, thus repeated some of the above steps to get clean system with TWRP+SuperSU.

does anyone have cwm or twrp acer z220
Root it by kingroot. Change it with SuperSU . ( google kingroot to SuperSU) . The one in used terminal emulator. Now u have SuperSU installed
For custom recovery, i can't help u . However , u can use flashfire to flash xposed framework. Download xposed framework , and flash the zip file ( exposed framework) with flashfire. Don't check auto mount , just proceed . After that , scroll down to everRoot option, and check all box inside it. After u done , flash. Last , install xposed installer. and voila!
My advice : don't use xposed framework if u don't know what you are doing . If something gone wrong , reflash ur Acer with a stock ROM ( u can get it from S4trio blog )
Keep in mind that flashfire only working with SuperSU.

I honestly tried to use Marshmallow. Compiles kernels dozens of times. But no luck.
Reboots and lags does not suit me.
And decides to use 5.1.1, as more stable.
I'm all about this ROM as Marshmallow has just been one big rebooting mess!
However, during flashing everything went fine except the build.prop install...

Did you mount system in twrp before install?
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using XDA-Developers mobile app
I got it sorted out actually, turns out it was because I was using the version of TWRP I got from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/sma...24h-twrp-root-busybox-kernel-adiutor-t3365990
I initially skipped installing the one you provided above because I already had that one installed, but switched to the one you provided and reflashed with no errors!
One last question, is it possible to turn off the rounded screen corners? Is that something that can be edited into the build.prop or is it in kernel?

Rounded screen corners is a kernel feature, not ROM.
And do you recommend your LCA43 kernel from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/sma...ment/kernel-sony-smartwatch-3-kernel-t3304102 or should we stick with the one already in the rom? Or are they one and the same?

Rom include kernel v. 2.22.
Today I posted 2.23 in kernel thread.
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Hi everyone, could someone please help me? I'm trying to downgrade my SW3 from MM to this rom, but I don't know how to do it. I've got installed windroid toolkit but it doesn't anything. I can't install twrp, unlock bootloader... nothing. I've got correctly installed ADB drivers, windroid recognises my watch, but this is everything I can do until here. I'm trying to do the downgrade because my battery flies twice per day, meanwhile in MM battery lasted up to 4 days... Has someone the same problem?

Reboot to Fastboot, and flash the TWRP .img from there. (note: be sure you are in the directory where the twrp.img file is stored)
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash boot [I]twrp.img[/I]
fastboot reboot
adb reboot recovery
And viola. You can then flash this ROM.
Do you plan feature 6.0.1 update? What are benefits over stock...?

Thank you for your help, but unfortunately my watch didn't pass the white screen saying fastboot. PC was saying "waiting for device" for so much time. Am I doing something wrong?

Hello and thanks for the command lines.
I want to try it because my battery drain is too high with MM and kernel 3.10.1 (but no reboots).
But .... How can I use the virtual SDCARD? How do I have to do to put the zip file in this SD? AFter, I think it will be ok....
Thanks.
It's OK actually, just after twrp flash, I have "VIRTUAL SDCARD" on my windows pc, I put the zip and I flashed it in recovery.
Thanks

When the watch is connected to computer, type:
adb push rom_file.zip /sdcard/Download/
This command will copy ROM to /sdcard/Download directory.

More excellent work! Will we be able to root this (i.e. flash supersu.zip in TWRP)? Also, I can't seem to access the files (ROM.zip, TWRP.img), is the site down?

Webserver was in the planned maintenance. Now everything is working as it should.
SuperSu work fine. You can download SuperSu_2.46 here
Hey guys,
Thanks to @vanche for the modified kernel and twrp recovery and @fayiaz for the guide on how to root and @Johny Cipel for the original guide and everyone else like
@topjohnwu
@santhosh
@abdyasar
For the original twrp, root and other stuff.
Now thats out of the way
Requirements:
-Unlocked Bootloader (Moto G5 Plus with offers from Amazon won't have unlockable bootloaders but if you buy the standard model from them then you'll be fine)
-Vanche's Modified TWRP from here (http://cloud.vache-android.com/Moto/potter/TWRP/twrp-3.1.0-0-potter.img)
- Vanche's Modified Boot Kernel from here (http://cloud.vache-android.com/Moto/potter/root/potter_boot_test7.img)
- Vanche's Wifi Patch because wifi will stop working after flashing the modified boot kernel (http://cloud.vache-android.com/Moto/potter/root/wlan_custom.zip)
- Chainfires Root http://download.chainfire.eu/1021/SuperSU/SR3-SuperSU-v2.79-SR3-20170114223742.zip
--- If you already have TWRP on your phone, the one by Santosh, you must flash the one made by Vanche or it wont work and you can just download the recovery image and flash it via twrp by toggling the flash zip button on the twrp recovery install menu.
1.. Download all the three files then boot your phone into bootloader mode by holding Volume Down + Power
2. Connect your phone to your PC and then open the adb terminal wherever adb is located open command prompt at that folder
3. Place the recovery image and boot image where the adb terminal folder is located
4. Fastboot flash recovery first and then boot into recovery at least once then reboot into bootloader fastboot flash boot the modified boot image.
5. Boot into the system (May take a while for the first time after flashing the boot image).
6. Place the wlan_custom.zip into your phones internal storage
7. Boot back into recovery and then flash the zip this time
8. Then download and flash the SR3 Super Su from above using recovery and you should have root!!
Safety net may break so if you wanna use Snapchat or any other apps that use safety net make sure you login first then root. You can't logout or else you'll have to unroot and log back in.

The phone will wipe as soon as you unlock the bootloader so best to back up first.
Sorry but what's the differences beetwen this method and magisk?

Only the 'Prime Exclusive - With Offers and Ads' Amazon models don't have an unlockable bootloader, while the 'Standard Version' models can definitely be unlocked. You probably should clarify that or some will think that they can't buy from Amazon and unlock/root the phone.

Will do thanks
The "Magisk method" didn't give me privileges on /system, there are some things I can do and others do not, this method gave me full root access like in the other MotoG devices? And the safetynet check fails too?
Anyway thank you very much!!
What's going to be different than magisk root?

Do you think that will be fixed soon with a newer version of SuperSU, or some "root hider" apps? The idea of running a phone without root is absurd/offensive/rediculous IMO, but I don't want to be denied the ability to run certain apps because the developers have the rediculous idea that running without root should be "OK" to ordinary users? This idea is extremely offensive to me!!!
Guys, I wonder why the OP is "Account currently disabled"? I hate running without root, but, it seems a bit early and not all the problems have been worked out yet, such as TWRP not accessing SDCARD yet - I think I was a little premature buying my Moto G5 Plus as we don't really have "stable" release custom ROMs or fully functioniong TWRP and to even root we have to rely on some not well known sources for kluged files to make SU work?
I just find out that this rom https://forum.xda-developers.com/p8...m-lineageos-17-1-huawei-p8-lite-2017-t4064121 could be installed on our device wtih minor changes. After installing all things you will need to install stock recovery and wipe cache and try to do factory reset(i tried to but i got error massage) then you will successfully boot into rom

Try the lastest TWRP in this thread
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p8...wrp-3-3-1-0-huawei-p8-lite-2017-t3953122/amp/
After installing system.img, u need to resize the system partition, until see the used space ~17xxmb and free ~18xx mb,
after that flash gapps
and MUST flash Magisk Phh 19.3
the flash the patch file.
After first boot, you need to, format data in erecovery
Everything works smoothly except......can not make and receive calls, ooopss
update, i try to roll back to emui8, and start the process again. it works now.
recommend to update, lets teach the old dog new trick
A big job ahead ?. I will try and I will tell you if it works thank you for your answer. One last question is there a way to keep a custom recovery because sometimes magisk's module causes a botloop (sorry for my bad English ?)

So I came back (finally) to emui 8 and I tried to install the recovery custom but I still cannot access the internal storage memory.
I think it comes from my model because I have a Huawei GR5 2017 which is supposed to be a 'copy' of the honor 6x but all the roms which require emui 5.x installed do not work.
In any case thank you very much for your help! [emoji106]

The trick is you need 2 twrp.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-iErvJefoFri7HKNEU8uSnYo8kmIyVd9/view?usp=sharing
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MnFBplsp3nZ3b0BiJ764cV67kHXeRzL4/view?usp=sharing
use twrp-3.3.1emui8v2.img for everything
In the last step after everything flashed, you flash the other twrp huaweitwrp.img
reboot into that twrp
chooose advances; fix encryption
reboot system, then you can access internal memory
the same process with android 10.
mine is also Gr5 2017 and now running 10, no bug

use the guide above if you want to go back to stock rom because every single custom rom will require you to flash from the stock rom
next i follow the guide provided here, after flashing the patch go back to stock oreo recovery which is available on the emui 8 folder you downloaded earlier

finally flash huaweitwrp.img provided by lusci on the post #7

These are the steps (thanks @DunoCZ) I followed if an Honor 6X user want to install this ROM:
- *Upgrade to EMUI 8!*
- *Remove the saved fingerprints and Google Accounts just in case*
- Flash the TWRP recovery from @Dil3mm4
- Format cache, dalvik cache, data and system: TWRP -> Wipe -> Advanced Wipe
- Flash the ROM via TWRP (you can try with fastboot but it already works with TWRP): TWRP -> Install -> Install Image
- Resize the system partition: TWRP -> Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> System -> Resize (DO NOT FORMAT!)
- (Optional) Install GApps, Magisk
- (Required) Install patch
- Reboot and wait

Yea, i cant get it to work. No matter what i do after
- flashing system.img
- resizing the system partition
- installing opengapps
- installing magisk
- installing the patch
followed by either:
-straight up booting it.
- doing everything i can in every bootloader.
evenm if i freshly format /data the system get stuck in a boot. Have tried all of the recoveries in this thread. All are basically the same, from what i have observed.
Edit: Figured it out. apparently my gapps was somehow broken. Downloaded a fresh arm64-ogapps and all is working now

Ok let me make it simple for you.
1. Flash stock Oreo Rom (no need to boot it)
2. Flash TWRP by Dilemma in fastboot.
3. Go to recovery and wipe data by typing yes to decrypt data partition (if not already decrypted)
4. Go to fastboot and flash system.img
5. Reboot to recovery and resize system partition
6. Flash GApps
7. Flash los patches zip
8. Flash disable Dm verity patch
9. Flash magisk-phh zip in the end.
10. Reboot and wait.
I used these steps to flash different GSIs/ROMs and it works perfectly.
I managed to flash the rom but without flashing the gapps because I don't know exactly which one to flash should I flash gapps for android 10 arm64 or gapps for android 8.0 ??
try both and it gives me error 20
