[Q] HTC One V turned into a brick - HTC One V

Hi! I have a problem with my HTC One V. The phone doesn't power on, doesn't go to fastboot menu, but my computer recognizes it as QHUSB_DLOAD. Can I restore my device without replacing the motherboard or flash memory? If it possible, tell me more about it!

Use this software to fix it: http://unlimited.io/qhsusbdload.htm

oh, I try to use this software but no result.
there exist other decisions of the problem?

and so I will be able to revive it without hardware intervention of people from the service center? And yet, the phone was lying for a long time without recharging. Will the fix work with discharged battery? or I should buy a new battery?

No, everything should work if you do exactly what's written there.
The computer does recognize the device as QHUSB_DLOAD driver, right? That's exactly what the fix was made for.

You can type lsusb in the terminal, but you don't need to, just plug in your phone and type in the commands.

After I wrote lsusb, I saw that my phone is connected as a Qualcomm modem (or something like that). I've uploaded arcive, entered the terminal, wrote the commands and saw: QDL Reset. But phone still does not reboot, and the charging diode is off. I repeated this actions several times, but without success.

Well, I just looked at the thread of the program and it looks like this issue is often caused by a hardware fault or some other underlying fault which can't be fixed so easy. In this cases the fix doesn't work and you'll have to send it to htc.

Judging from what you've said, you may have formatted and deleted your /system partition. If you can still get to CWM, you're in luck. If not... Call up Ouya and ask about that warranty! As it is, without /system, there is no OS.
I dont know how to enter cwm. .
I tried some things like plug in a usb keyboard and press alt printscreen but no luck...

Try that and press control-alt-f1 after it SHOULD have booted. You may be out of luck if you actually formatted /system.

Call up Ouya technical support and see if they can do anything for you. Maybe an alternative method to get yourself into the recovery.

Super-bricked my phone trying to unroot, can I fix this?

I tried unrooting my d855 phone using this information:
http://www.androidrootz.com/2014/07/how-to-unroot-lg-g3-all-variants.html
It got stuck at 11% time after time. When I was going to try it on another computer, the phone will no longer go into download mode. It will not go into recovery either. I just get a boot error saying "secure boot error" and windows recignozies the device as a qualcomm device with no driver AND no com port. I've looked at all the posts I can find including the linux approach but I'll never get anything showing up at /dev/sd*
Wth can I do, is it screwed?
Hi there.
According to your explanation it is pretty well bricked.
Perhaps your only way to bring it back to life will be using this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2933853
Read everything very carefully to make sure you make no mistakes along the process.
I honestly hope that you can bring it back again. I know how I would feel.
Good luck mate. ?
*Let me know how it went.
Thanks for the link. I saw it and tried everything that I could but the phone never responded. I ended up sending it in for repair :-\

Just heard the MB was fried. Whether this happened during my unrooting or was a latent hardware error I don't know, but it may be worthy of mentioning.

I think I fried it so bad they never questioned possible root causes not even the official tools could flash the darn thing.

Maybe somebody knows the answer.

I have a LG G3 D855 and my problem is that my phone restarts a lot, like when it not plugged to a power source (pc or wall) it won't boot and if it reboots and i dont't have a power source near me i can forget using my phone cause there will be no way that it boots. After booting and i put in the pin number there is a 7/10 chance that it reboots and if it doesn't reboot by just simply trying to drag down the notifications bar it will reboot. If anybody knows what the problem is please tell me, im getting really annoyed by it. Thank you

I have stock marshmallow kdz flashed on my phone and since i cannot enter in my phone because after putting my pin number and i want to unlock it it reboots. I think it all happened after i wanted to install Xposed, and i needed to flash xposed framework and the phone went in to bootloop and had to bring my phone back using the .tot method. When i can enter my phone i will tell you my kernel the name of the kdz im using is this "D85530a_00_0225". Thank you

Oh, well I misunderstood you it seems
Np, we agree, reading instructions is problematic for some. Searching too ...
About that changing hardware when there's a problem with software - we can blame companies as much as users, if not more. They're actually the ones suggesting hardware repair/change, just because they're too lazy to bother with software.
OnePlus is kinda good here, they at least try reinstalling ROM via remote session before resorting to service.
Anyways, it's good to have all necessary software for unbricking publicly available
and I'm wandering into offtopic ...

my wifi doesnt work and when i try to use it freezes my phone

most of the times my phone freezes at boot animation and I have to factory reset everytime to go through, but again when setting up the phone when asked for network connections "use wifi to setup, use mobile data to setup" something like this, it freezes there too, so I wait 15 minutes at that screen and then proceed and strangely it doesnt freeze. I think it the issue with wifi part because it freezes there and also bluetooth and hotspots are not working, it freezes there too. Please help.
