Never had this problem on my G3.
G4, with everything set to sync (and it showing a successful sync recently) will NOT sync. I have ZERO bookmarks on my phone.
Anyone have this happen to them? Tried clearing Chrome data, cache, logging out, logging back in. Can't get the bookmarks to appear.

Nevermind. I fixed it.
Evidently, I wasn't signed in to Chrome on my PC. Dang nabbit! :silly:

Help: VZW Galaxy Nexus Contacts and Gmail "Sync is currently experiencing problems"
My new nexus will not sync contacts or gmail. I get the error "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly." I have tried clearing the cache on both apps and restarting the phone, but the error reoccurs. It has synced some contacts (58 of 141). But the error remains, and the rest of the contacts do not appear, even after choosing to display "all contacts".
Can anyone help?

I'm seeing the same thing, though it's only affecting my synched bookmarks. If you go into settings > Accounts & Sync, it'll have an exclamation by the problem child/children. Uncheck whatevers not working and your contacts should finish in theory. I was able to get all my contacts.
Last time I restarted after a cache wipe, contacts gave the error, but gmail synced for a long time before giving the error. This time, contacts again errored right away, but gmail is still syncing. I'm hoping it will finish this time, and then I'll work on getting the contacts to sync.
I've checked the syncing on my other android devices and there are no problems there, so I don't think it's a problem with the servers.
I actually had the same problem when I wiped my touchpad last night. unchecked and rechecked and it started working again.
Well I hope it's temporary, but I'd really like to get it fixed. Does anyone know how long it usually takes to sync gmail? It's been going for over 30 minutes now.
Bump for a fast board, I still need help with this. I just formatted the cache in recovery and the problem came back immediately.
Edit: I deleted my google account and readded it and it seems to be working, sorry for the bump. I hope this helps someone else.
Unfortunately mine is still broken and I've tried everything. Adding it back in doesn't help. I'm using "[email protected] and my email will not synch even though others do. I have other gmail accounts that are synching just fine. What's up Google??? Man this is frustrating; the email account I actually need most is not working.
I just got my wife a Nexus, and I have been getting the sync error, along with a pop-up saying "unfortunately contacts have stopped working". Gmail is working fine, it's just contacts. This started happening after unlocking, rooting, and installing Codename ROM. I'm running Codename on my Nexus without problems. I unrooted, and relocked hers, and it seemed to be fine. Went back to unlocked, rooted, and Codename, and the problem came back. I'm going to try the previous versions of Codename, and Nova Launcher to see if it makes a difference, but if anyone has any more info about this, I'd like to hear about it.

Hi. I am having issues syncing my One X with Google Calendar. I have calendar sync on my laptop and use it every time I make a change, but not everything is syncing across - which is driving me crazy as I rely on it a huge amount. Some events sync, some don't and some are duplicated because I have moved them and they've also stayed in the original position...
I have tried everything, I think. I have deleted and reinstalled Google Calendar Sync, cleared the cache on the One X and (or course) checked that the Google calendar sync is enabled in accounts, but all to no avail. The only way I can sort it is to delete my Gmail account from the phone and then set it all up again, which is quite time-consuming and means that I have to then reset everything for that account. (I tried Synker and it didn't seem to make any difference - nor did it find a fault, it seems.)
If you could help, I would be extremely grateful - this is driving me crazy!
Note: I know there are threads on similar issues here and think I've gone through them all, but to no avail. Apologies if this has been solved and I've missed that post.
I use the app Calengoo, works okay here.
There are a few small issues I can't solve but it syncs always.

I had similar issues, check if you have any calendar labs options activated and deactivate them. In my case it solved sync problem.

Hi, I just recently purchased the HTC One from Verizon and everything seems to be working fine, except the Facebook blinkfeed. When I go to use my Facebook account my contacts and live feed sync okay but my calendar doesn't. It says that sync is currently available and to try again, and I also get authorization problem at the top of the screen. Well if I drop down the menu and click on the authorization problem, it tries to bring up facebook for a second and then close out. I then had a friend try his Facebook account and everything works fine, no issues with Facebook syncing and his posts from Facebook shows up on the main blinkfeed. So what am I overlooking here? I went into the local verizon to see if it was just my phone that might be bad, but I tried syncing up my facebook at the store and it also had the same issues.
I've tried removing my account, changing passwords, changing my email address I use to log in, I even done a factory reset with data wipe nothing works. Hopefully someone here might have experienced the same issue and knows where to try to fix it.

My chrome sync won't work on my G4 :/
Works just fine on my Note 4.
I've tried using different chromes like beta and dev. I tried uninstalling chrome and clearing the cache/data. I've tried looking through my sync settings on my desktop and I've tried removing my account from my phone and signing back in.

Today my HTC 10 rebooted itself, and once it was done I got a notification about my gmail accounts needing "action required". When I tried to solve them by entering my password, it would just stay on the loading circle. After trying to clear cache, data, and all that stuff nothing was working. So I went and removed the accounts. Then I started with adding my main gmail account. That worked fine, but then I tried to add another. It would go through the steps normally, but after it was done nothing happened. The account wasn't added. It doesn't loop or give me any other error, it just asks like nothing ever happened. I tried multiple times. I removed the main account too just to see what would happen, and it won't add that either. So I can't get into gmail, play, etc. On top of that, Yahoo won't work either. I try to sign into that and I just get a "something went wrong" message. Somehow Outlook works fine, and that seems to be a miracle, but it doesn't show up under Accounts & Sync. I'm not sure if that's the main issue? I have tried multiple Google searches and nothing helps. Not the "clear cache, data, ect" on anything Google related. Maybe I'm missing something else.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem without a hard reset?
