Method 1
Method 2
Easiest way would be flashing the "NoRedText ABOOT" from method 1.
Btw: The search function doesn't bite.

Red Text on Boot

Does anyone know if there is a way to remove the red text while the phone is booting up. I searched and did not find anything related to the 3.19 Hboot. Thanks in advance.

If you know how to dump your hboot.img from your device I can edit the red text for you..Then you can fastboot the mod hboot an you will have no red writing.

You need to downgrade to KitKat before you can "unlock the bootloader"

I did it, but sometime my phone just don't boot, I have to unplug the battery and plug it to my computer to see the missing battery logo, then unplug and place the battery back to boot.
Its kinda anoying, is there anything I can do?
PS:I started from kitkat.

logo.bin file to fastboot for unlocked bl

attached logo.bin file i midified to replace the unlocked bootloader warning
as the boot process looks for id which we do not have so it shows "n/a"
that i just covered in white arrow

Than for the logo. It works fine and the stock black warning screen was really ugly!
Only one thing... I like a lot the arrow solution BUT.... may I ask for a better Z?
It's too left positioned in my opinion and really a not so nice font used for it... what do you think about a solution with a Z partially superimposed on Moto logo on the right bottom of it?
This way even the arrow would be more "integrated" in my opinion (and both will disappear in seconds during boot)! :fingers-crossed:
Let me know your opinion on this...
it's easy:
use winlogo and edit orange.png in the projects\logo\modified\images folder
then flash it

Yes, I'm asking because with boot animation sometimes we can have booting issues if it isn't ok... and I'm worried of this since it goes before all booting and I don't want to brick the phone for a... Z!
than just save logo.bin from stock so u can always go back

I'm not sure this is enough... Logo.bin is used even before entering fastload mode if I don't go wrong...

[NT] Stock Logo without Warning - N/A removed (hidden)

Hello,
Since I've always received good advice and help here I'd like to give something back.
I've made a boot logo file for myself which doesn't show the warning that the device is unlocked AND I even hid the annoying "N/A".
It will first show my custom black & white Motorola logo instead of the warning and will then boot normally with the red & blue boot animation.
To apply one of the logos extract them somewhere, boot into the bootloader and execute
Code:
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
Don't flash it from a recovery or FlashFire etc.
Chris
P.S.: I also included the original logo file in case you change you mind.
Nice!
Perfect .....
Thanks
All you did was make the background white to hide the message, which flashallthetime did a while back. Is there any way to find out where the white N/A text is read from so we can remove it that way?
If you don't mind a white bootlogo, this works great.

You cannot get rid of the N/A unless you are able to rewrite the bootloader while keeping it signed. As soon as you tamper with it the device won't boot. Nobody was able to do this for the newer Motorola devices.

You are right, but not entirely. I also had to make the logo a little larger or else the N/A would've been exactly on the circle.
But yeah, it wasn't much work that I did. I just wanted to share something I created, to give the community something back, so that I don't only leech information from it.

Logo fix for G5+ (logo.bin)

Hi,
I created a patched version of the logo.bin for remove the "unlock message".
I use the tool "Moto Boot Logo Maker" and the original logo.bin from stock.
You can download from here:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/im0jk9
http://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-idWfPYugGvREJaR3B0UFIxUkU/view?usp=sharing
As regular, you can flash from bootloader mode using:
Code:
fastboot.exe flash logo logo-g5-fix.bin
If you like to apply from TWRP (fastboot not needed) then download this ZIP:
http://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4BcNVrbrBOzZko3VjhmRWtrVms/view?usp=drivesdk
(made by user atrac17)
I created this version as I feel the one around here is a G4 logo.bin. This uses the original logo.bin from G5.
Can you upload this on another site? Sendspace is blocked in India :/
You can get it from my Google Drive here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-idWfPYugGvREJaR3B0UFIxUkU/view?usp=sharing
OP, feel free to add it to the post
This is a great idea but it doesn't get rid of the N/A overlay... See my post here.

Not possible to fix. This overlay is printed by the bootloader that can't be rewrited. We only can replace the background image.

Yep, I know that it can't be changed. It's at the bottom of the link I posted. I was saying it's a good idea, if you can deal with the NA overlay then the boot logo's fine. I made a flashable zip for TWRP here if you want to link it to the OP.

Done! :highfive:
Thanks. I took that and changed the logo with one the same size using the tool, saved it as flashable zip and get error 6. Error flashbooting bin too. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? [note: image is not my work]
Edit: Got it working by editing the original logo.bin

What do you mean not possible? I got rid of it
Thank you both for the zip file and fastboot method. The boot logo looks fine with the N/A still there. It's barely noticeable. Now if I can find the Moto boot animation to match I'll be set.
I found a YouTube video of a guy from India doing it. He used the same logo, but it was a white background so you don't see the NA

Here are a couple with no N/A (white letters hide it).

Hi,
He is doing a very simple workaround: as the overlay is printed with white letters, the logo image has blank pixels in the zone where the bootloader prints the message. Then, the print out has no effect.

Okay, so he's not removing the overlay from the bootloader. Might be a language barrier because it's misleading.
Thanks for you work, any chance of a stock logo.bin with a dark background?
